I have been running a tattoo shop for 15 years and at first I was taught that you had to buy each item from the best (and most expensive) company. I always research deals for things in my regular life, so eventually I found Monster Steel. For about 12 years I have saved money and earned points by shopping on their website. A few years later they started selling more than just basic piercing equipment and sold tattoo gear as well. For 10 years I have been buying everything for everyone from one place and saving everyone $.
Now I'm honestly wondering if I came upon a different/copy-cat site. It's got the same stuff but not the same prices/selection/points system/look/customer service.
I ordered over 200 dollars worth of ink from monster steel. When it arrived it was all set to expire within a few months. The ink had sat for so long that it had degraded and was no longer usable for tattooing. The site did not say anything about an expiration date... they did nothing to correct this issue. I will never order from them again... if I could give less than a 1 star rating I would.
Ordered some ink and they apparently were out of stock but didn't say. All they would offer was store credit. However they have an excellent selection of supplies. They will continue go be my first choice tattoo supplier, however I'll be shopping around for another.
Ordered needles ten days ago, spent almost $90 and they haven't even processed the order, but were quick to take my money. Ordered through another distributor on a Sunday and the shipment showed on Tuesday. Customer service email doesn't answer and the phone number goes straight to voicemail.
I made an order, and was charged. Items never received. I contacted them to request either the items or a refund. They said the case was escalated to management. Months later, no refund and I haven't received the items. I think this site is a scam.

Excellent artwork, spotlessly clean and very professional the level of Fine detail work Daz provides is exceptional. There are many tattooists available but only a few real tattoo artists out there, and Daz is very definatley the latter his skill at producing striking images with beautifully shading and gorgeously balanced coloring cant be beaten highly recommended
Although I was nervous after reading other reviews online, I decided to go for it and click the purchase button. I decided to go through PayPal as the actual MS site comes up as being not totally secure during credit card information input. I received all of my items in perfect condition 4 days later with a frequently updated tracking link. It went from FL to MD, if anyone is interested. :)

These guys were very fast with shipping, everything showed up in tact and exactly how they said it would. Great materials, would recommend them to anyone for there's tattoo supplies. I will keep shopping with them.

Please be aware! This company requests that you send them personally identifying information via e-mail (unsecured connection).
They requested that I said them a photocopy of the front and back of my credit card and a photo copy of my ID or passport.
When you enter your credit card online it is processed through a secure connection via the AIM payment processing client. This is a secure and encrypted connection and your card is immediately charged. They have no reason to request your information again via e-mail.
Be aware that if you send these sensitive documents - you'll never know where they'll end up or who will have access to them.
This is a HUGE security risk! Find somewhere else to spend your hard earned money where it is protected and secured.

My shipment arrived in a timely manner, I loved how I was able to see my shipment on an actual map! But everything is working fine, will definitely shop here again.
I was sent the wrong needles by mistake and they contacted me about sending the correct ones. I was fine with what I received so it's cool. This is the first supply company to offer to fix a mistake without being asked. Excellent customer service.
Ordered supplies July 2020, Emailed them, still no feedback, telephone goes straight to voicemail and no supplies yet... What is going on people?!?!?!?! Stop Playing with "My" money.
Their standard rate shipping time is the only issue they could improve on, it's 7-10 days from when ya click "pay" and Amazon has us spoiled. But of all the shop suppliers their stock of tattoo anestetics is the best quality. I like their new website better too.
The site said free shipping if you spent 200.00 which is more than any competitor on the web... then took them 4-5 days to ship my small order then it goes ground from east coast to west coast and will take a week to get to me so after almost two weeks I will get my supplies! Before I even ordered from these guys I asked about one of there products and if it worked with a common tattoo machine used by thousands today, and I got told to email the manufacturer! Why they couldn't email or call there products manufacturer when they are the ones carrying there product is beyond me... crappy service with crappy shipping and crappy processing times most likely will not be ordering from them again... shame shame
I ordered tattoo supplies with three different suppliers. Monstersteel was the only one between them that had the tattoo studio furniture I was looking for in stock for a reasonable price. It arrived ahead of schedule and before any of my other orders, very well packaged, undamaged, and it was exactly as it was shown on the website. With Monstersteel I always know I can find what I need and get it fast for the right price.
Company is a joke. Both times I have ordered I have had to wait 12-15 days before the order is even shipped. Then the items are not the same as what was listed, or items missing due to "low stock" or out of stock. Had to send power supply back 3 times due to not working right out of the box, and then was told it would take 3 months to get another due to out of stock, or i could pay an additional $55 to upgrade to the next best item. Complete bull$#*!. Was told the processing time is one week, after 2 I called again and was told it was because payment was not received until 8 days after ordering, even though my aypal account clearly shows the payment was made same day as order. Stay away from these idiots, they wil rip you off at any opportunity.

Based on the date of your review, I know that we have implemented a new live inventory feed to our website so we very seldom will encounter out of stock issues any more. That was a frustrating issue for a long time for you and for us.
Since day one when I began ordering from Monster Steel, they've delivered in a timely fashion. Other companies have in one way or another missed the mark. The products from parts to ink have been superior. Other companies should strive to emulate Monster Steel's excellence!
