Plz don't use them.
November 16, 2020

They do NOTHING to protect your money from thieves! Worst card EVER! Worst customer service ever! Card was stolen n purchase was made for flight to Amsterdam $159 which was completely out of the ordinary for my purchases. Didn't even inquire if this was my purchase. When they were contacted said they couldn't cancel the purchase told us to call merchant. Got the run around. Loss of $159, needless to say will be getting rid of this trash asap

Absolute garbage.
August 28, 2022

This service is absolutely garbage the customer service is terrible don't answer your questions and you have to wait over 30 minutes sometimes to get through to an agent then there's a grueling sign in process that ask you for everything even your social security number the fees are absolutely insane and sometimes I can't even check my funds because I can't sign in for whatever reason also the card the issue is extremely cheap and doesn't even have a chip on it.

It's not showing up in the app but is on the website. I tell customer service that it's not working and all she has to say is " delete the app and reinstall " i do this and my money will won't show. It says there's money but won't let me spend it unless the app says so. That's $142 dollars i can't use. It's stupid

Needed to get out at least 1000 for my rent that day and they had told me that I had exceeded my daily withdrawals and would not let me get the rest of my funds out of my account. For some reason they can't accommodate your needs and make sure that you get the cash out that you need, in order to pay important bills

The worst customer service experience to date. They have a phone tree that must have been designed by the Devil. When all else fails, it asks you to enter your phone number. If the system doesn't recognize your number it asks you to call back from a different number stating, "Thankyou, goodbye." Then disconnects.

Tried multiple times to contact customer service however their recordings refer you back to the FTB or just disconnects you. Chat is also useless as they cannot lookup any info and just refers you to call their useless customer service line. Possibly Class Action Lawsuit here for ripping off people form their middle class tax refund.

Terrible!
July 19, 2022

My son needed to activate his card. He tried for four days, on the phone over an hour each time. So he handed me (mom) his card and the phone after he'd been on hold for 45 minutes as he had to go to work. Someone FINALLY answers, and they tell me that he has to be there to give a verbal ok. Like if he was HERE then HE'D be the one on the phone. They refused to activate it and they have no automated service to do it. Ridiculous. People don't have all damned day to sit and wait for someone to decide to answer the phone. If you can avoid using this service, DO IT. Customer service is awful.

Debit card won't work after first use. Been trying for three days to contact Money Network customer service at the 800 number provided on the California Middle Class Tax Refund Card. For the first two days the recording said "Due to an outage we cannot take your call at this time, goodbye." On the third day, despite multiple attemps to get through at different times of the day, the recording said "Due to higher than normal call volume, we are unable to take your call at this time, goodbye." All this after waiting to go through the MN menu and inputting card number. What a joke!

Liars
August 16, 2021

My money network card has never had issues until today. Suddenly it didn't work. I called the customer service department and the representative lied to me saying it has only been an issue for less that 1 hour. The last time I tried to use my card, was about 830 pm almost 2 hours ago. They also said the problem will be fixed by tomorrow. My husband and I almost got the cops called on us bc we went put to dinner and my card wouldn't work so we couldn't pay. We had to call a family member to pay our bill so the restaurant wouldn't call the police. Liars that don't care about their customers.

Worst company
October 15, 2022

I raised a dispute for a transaction that I made using money networkcard. After filling out paperwork and submitting it and with speaking to someone, my dispute was closed without investigation. They said they tried to contact me but no call or voice-mail was received. I am sad that I lost my money but what's worse is that this bank did nothing to help me get my money back. Very disappointing!

Fraud Network
June 14, 2022

I can save you some time if you're planning on disputing that charge on your money network card. I had to charge show up on mine about 3 months ago I did not make the charge so I disputed it and it seemed like in no time I got to let her back saying that my dispute has been denied after going back and forth with money network over the fact that I didn't make that charge I did because I had been online it came back within two days. I contacted the website and then it came out again the next month the website and not answer their phone so I called my bank who would surely back me up this time. Denied and again the third time be nice this is the same originating charge over and over and over again and my network just let it go right through. It's the same company that got me the first time. The way I see it money networks into me for about a hundred and eight including interest

Hi, I am a 17 year old working at Starbucks. I was given a 'Money Network' prepaid debit card, where my employer has been loading my checks. I have not been able to access my money in 3 months. Each receptionist has told me I need to send in a different verification, and I've complied each and every time. But to my dissatisfaction, I have been informed that my information "wasn't good enough' or 'not credible' each and every time. I was unable to buy my family and my friends anything for Christmas, which made me feel terrible, and undeserving of anything given to me. All my friends are able to buy things when we go shopping, and I can only watch and hold their bags. I've sent in God knows how many verifications and documents, been on hold for hours, and cried out of hopelessness.

Useless thieves
November 4, 2020

I have tried to pay multiple bills, and keep getting return check/ money fees charged to me. So I looked to make sure I paid correctly, and I keep all transaction numbers. One bill in particular ($270), says they never received a payment even though I have a confirmation number. Money network has refused to help me find the money. The company that I was trying to pay is convinced that money network has that money. And since they refuse to talk/ listen, I'm convinced they have it.

When trying to transfer money out of the account to a valid checking account I continue to receive a message indicating that the amount I am trying to transfer is more than the available balance. I have tried lesser amounts, odd amounts, even amounts. Nothing. Customer service is worthless. They cannot tell my why it won't let me transfer. I have even tried the mobile app with the exact same results.

Incompetent company
January 22, 2022

Don't ever use money network. I had to transfer money to my main bank but had to go through 4 cards just to do it and they made it way too hard. When I asked for help accessing my money. They kept asking me for more information after I kept giving them what they asked. And they still couldn't access my money. Luckily I got the money out. But man these people are worst than an actual bank.

I gave 1 star because negative stars was not an option. My card expired and because my employer does not use Money Network anymore a new card was issued to me from a different provider. I had 2 checks deposited into the Money Network card that I could not get because the card stop working. I called to ask to get a check mailed to me I was supposed to get March 16. It is now April 20 and I still have not received it and when I called to find out about it they kept me on hold for a long time.
Now I have to wait for the check to be cancelled and mailed again, so I have to wait for another 15 days (3-5 to cancel and get the money back to the account and 7-10 for the check to mailed again) to possibly get my money. I called while at work and when I told I could not wait too long on hold I was told "If you want to resolve this issue you will have to call again then." phone call took over 37 min!

I have tried to use this one 8 different sites (that I have used before with no problemwith a different card), including Nintendo. And they detected them all as fraud and froze my account half those times. Besides Amazon. And just amazon. And nothing else.

F*cking ridiculous. Maybe this card is good if you don't ever need or want to spend any of the money you get ever. But if you actually want a debit card you can actually use. Please for the love of god get anything else.
