Not sending card out and blaming usps. Called four times for one damn card! Gave them correct address that was related 3 times and they sent priority (at my expense) to the wrong address! Y'all need to get it together!
An ATM at WaWa kept $400 of my money and after confirming that the money was counted in the PNC ATM this Scam bank Money Network will not return the money to my card. I called 4 times in the past week about a dispute form that they supposedly sent out a week ago and each time I was told it was in the US postal Mail service. I went and downloaded the form after days of trying to register my account and emailed it and now I'm being told it could take 45 days to have a provisional credit placed in my account. I have reached out them several times to confirm that they received the dispute form but they claim it didn't come through yet, meanwhile, the form they sent via mail is still floating in space. This is the worst banking experience I have ever had with any financial institution ever.
This service is hopeless. The app and the website are not fit for purpose and when I called up and speak to someone they were also useless. In all honesty you'd get better customer service from someone who doesn't speak English. All I want to do is transfer funds from Money Network to my checking account and that is impossible with this clown show. We never had this problem when Bank of America was running things. I would think that this is a deliberate ploy on the part of Money Network. This way they can collect a fee when we are forced to use the debit card.
Tried to use the app and the website, both are hopeless. Called customer service and that didn't resolve the problems either. The representative I spoke to told me that the entire system is essentially worthless and that he would have to send me a new card. I have little to no faith that the card will actually show up. In the meantime I have no access to my money. This was so bad I can only think that it's a deliberate company policy that's in place so they can hang onto our money for longer. I only wish I could award less than one star.
Absolutely useless. Waisting hours of time, on phone, online, and even on ATM with zero success to transfer my $250 middle class Cal Tax refund. Very disappointing and unbelievable that the state authorities picked such as crappy and useless service provider. To me it just looks like a fraud and a way to steal people's money. Shame on you.
I finally received my Money Network check this week. I had submitted a complaint through the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website regarding the issue of not receiving my mailed checks. This helped escalate the matter and ultimately led to the resolution of my issue.
My NJ FMLA account was created with Money Network (MN) bank in October 2024. When I tried to activate my account via their debit card, MN customer service informed me that my account was compromised and closed it. A check was issued for the account balance which I have not received to this day. The check was resent three times by them, but I did not receive a single one. I even told them that I would pay for a tracking service for the check, which they denied. I complained to NJ FMLA about this, but they said they could not help and that I would have to deal with MN myself. Also, Money Network is a mobile-only bank and does not have a single physical branch that I could visit in person to collect my check. MN is taking advantage of customers with disabilities, as they know they are the most vulnerable and don't have enough energy to continually deal with them.

This is the bank that EDD California uses and I don't understand why. People are already in a bad situation on disability or unemployment and then you have to fight with this company to get your money. I've been stranded and couldn't get the Uber ride because they declined it my car went down and had to rent a car and it is been 3 weeks of fighting them to get my money back even though the rental car released it. Hours and hours on hold and no resolution. If you have any choice I would avoid this company.
These people suck. They froze my account because they claim "someone has my information." But I had a new card that I literally JUST activated, and they claim it was compromised. Then told me I had to wait 7 - 10 business days for another card to get to me. So I can't access my paycheck for almost 2 weeks! They wouldn't transfer me to anyone who could unlock the account. There were zero charges that weren't mine on the account. So how would they know if someone had my account information, on a card I had just activated 15 minutes before I called them. Their "system" automatically locked it for no reason. It was their mistake yet I'm the one that has to wait. If you have an option other than using money network, then do it. I wouldn't recommend this crap to anyone. If I could give zero stars I would.
My account has been hacked three time in less than 3 months and they have no explanation for it and especially that I don't buy anything online
I got my card hacked at 7 eleven. I logged on website which is how I found out. The website itself is a nightmare to match their customer service support. Reported it on he 5th called back for follow up. Was assured investigation was n process. Called again on the 29th now they say "It was canceled on the 5th" mind blowing. No accountability or response of why or how this occurred. Only a mere apology and another empty promise of renewing original claim. Worst case scenario this piece of wannabe banking chosen by state for disability benefits. Won't recommend this this institution to a teenager.
I'm questioning myself how is this company still in business with how bad they handle everything. On call for 3+ hours trying to activate the card and still no one is even picking up the phone. I'm not surprise if they are stealing peoples money to fund for this garbage company. I hope they get sue asap. Also the fact that they would let someone other the card holder to activate the card without any important information about the owner of the card is beyond absurd.
On 1/28/25 my account was access by a unknown person i noticed the next day trying to buy cigarettes my card declined knowing I just got my last disability check so I called money network spoke to a lady told her somebody used my card without my consent made purchases from instacart and 3 cash app transactions all they did was lock card and send a new one and send a letter and said they will not be moving forward with a investigation like I'm lying smh really pissed
How can a company this bad still be in business
First call I made was 2 months ago about online deposits not going threw they said their it department was working on it? It's still not working I guess their it department needs a it department
Negative 5 star review if possible
Operator was hard to understand and kept insisting that to activate the card we had to go through the automated system which we did four times only to be told repeatedly that it did not have the card number in the system. They had no alternative activation method so they just end up keeping all the money! WHAT A SCAM!
My job had me sign up for this debit card year's ago to receive my per diem while working away from home. I have never in my life seen or heard of a bank this unreliable and incompetent...one min you have access to your funds, the next minute you don't. The app associated with your card is complete trash, you never can see your balance or transfer funds. I was just told I can't access my funds because my account is on hold, because I have to send them my drivers license, social security card and phone number on a sheet of paper then i can access my funds once they lift the hold on my account, ive been an account holder for a few years now, but all of a sudden they need the information they already had... this bank is a complete joke
I can never get it to allow me to sign in. It will just spin. I deleted it and reloaded and still I could not sign in. It would not accept my card number. I called for assistance and rep said to log in on line that they did some upgrades to mobile site. Tried that and kept telling me to try again later.
This company, is worthless ever since I started my unemployment my card is compromised and they have to close out the account and still have to wait over 7 days to get a check by mail. This is the 4th card. That gets compromised. And there customer service sucks very rude. Get Direct deposit or a check by mail better. EDD needs to change service.
The app is garbage. Won't allow you to transfer money. Logs you out. If you transfer money it disappears for days. Terrible. Better access if you let a drug addict hold it
Worst entity,
Call center does not pick up the phone
Gating questions prevent from going further in menu
Entity is making money off intentionally depriving card holders of their funds by blocking access
Did California EDD did not perform their due diligence?
My EDD claim is locked up, and I am stranded for 9 months while MoneyNetwork is living off my interest and earnings on this money
This service SHOULD NOT exist at all. It's totally unreliable and customer service acts like they're so f*cking busy! First when I called it said 15 minutes. Now I've been on the phone for almost an HOUR seeking some service. The app won't allow me to log in or tells me my card is invalid!
These guys don't deserve a star not one. Who apologizes over and over with no efforts to fix anything of no way to do it? These guys do. They can say I'm sorry more than than you could imagine only thing is it is an apology to nothing and that's what they do about anything. Nothing is what they are good at. And that's all you're gonna get.
Answer: It is a scam. No matter how much information you give about yourself they still will lie to you and send you a dispute sayin your claim is closed
Answer: My employer chose to deposit my pay check to this card, because she did not get a hold of my direct deposit info in time.
Answer: There is no getting in contact with customer service. On their website they state that they have 24/7 customer service, but I have yet to experience the validity of that statement.
