Lee, at the Clemson location was absolutely atrocious. He was unkind, unhelpful, and rude when asked questions. Micheals needs to do better. I would not recommend going here.
I wanted to get a record album framed...they quoted me $260 with 70% off...they raise the prides 100%...then they give you 70% off...don't let them fool you!...look elsewhere...ripoffs
Ordered through Michaels online store. The experience was generally not terrible, once at the cart applied coupon codes for a reduction (per the offer) cart updated and confirmed the amount on payment.
Email receipt of the transaction confirms a total significantly larger.
Call customer support, they are not taking calls. Not. Taking. Calls. Not a long wait, no calls.
Use the chat bot, Mike Bot, unintelligent and unable to assist... would I like a rep? Yes! Sorry no reps available.
Use contact us webpage, open support ticket marked URGENT.
No response... ever.
Wait on Mike Bot chat two days later, transferred to human chat, wait time over 1 hour. This rep cant help I need to accept the shipment and pay to return the shipment. Transferred to supervisor chat. 20 min wait. Same discussion. Finally issues refund. Provides a claim #.
Four days later. Packages are left outside, visa statement still shows full (incorrect) charge.
Waiting on chat again... currently waited over 40 minutes.
They have no business selling products online as they simply cannot support the model with any service at all.
I shopped at the Michaels's store in Gurnee today and Theresa was so helpful and knowledgable about products. It was a very pleasant experience. Please keep this location open.
I spent 15$ on color pencils that were broken taped up and tiny The employees were not helpful deer springs Michaels is a fraud the box is also smooshed.
The messiest job imaginable, frayed edges and puckered corners, I needed that mat immediately or would have returned it, instead spend lots of time with my exato knife to make the best of it.
Michael's arts and crafts stores are closer to me than Jerry's. I won't shop at Hobby due to their stance on several society issues. That said I always try to give Michael's business first. Normally it's very sound. The last few times I went to Manchester CT and Mansfield CT stores. Manchester I went in looking for product which they were out of stock. There was no one on the floor to assist me with questions. Finally when I went to the checkout to ask for help, the older woman asked this checkout guy to assist me and he wandered off to do something else. If I had done something like that when I worked, I would have been severely scolded if not terminated the very same day. Sheer ignorance and not customer oriented at all. Then I went to Mansfield to get the last product they had in stock…a Cricut Maker 3. The box was damaged when I purchased but I had no idea how bad the damage was inside the box til I got it home. I called the store infuriated as the whole machine looked like a bomb had fallen on it. But do you think anyone would do anything immediately to make the customer happy. This is a regularly $400+ machine. These stores are sadly lacking the support of their base, which are the creators that are suppose to be helping to heal our communities through art! How sad that we are being left treated like everyone else. I hate buying $#*! online, but if that comes to it, I will gladly abandon Michael's and other art places in the future.
So the new things Michaels is to only offer a decent coupon if you order online. I don; t know why it has to be this way because they let you pick up the order in the store to avoid shipping cost which I did. But I would PREFER to pick out my own stuff and look at the products if I have to go into the store anyway. But 35% off was my motivation However, I waited a day and I wanted my stuff and I had not heard "it was ready for pick-up". So I checked their website for order status.it said "Order details are temporarily unavailable for orders placed before March 19th, 2019. Please check back later or call Customer Care at *******047 for assistance. We apologize for the inconvenience." Guess what. That 800 number doesn't work! And the recording says so. Also my order was well AFTER March 19th so what's the problem? Are they dumb or what? This is on your website! I went to the store and my stuff was ready. The employee said you have to call 800 Michael to complain about them and I did. (They hate the in store pick-ups too, btw.) The numbers you press in their menus don't work! They say press * and when you do, it doesn't work. What a messed up company!
I'll keep this review short and sweet if your NOT white, European, caucasian DONT come to this Park Road Michael's store they are very very racist and rude
I placed an order from Michael's on November 27th the same
Item went on sale the next day plus another item.so I placed another order. Well I only received one item. I did receive conformation that the order. When I didn't find it I called Michael's spoke with Lee29 after holding on for 16 minutes Lee29 informed that my items would be resent. No communication from Lee. Called back waiting to speak with a Supervisor. THERE are NONE. I refuse to let my Money go like that. Mindless to say THERE was no MERRY CHRISTMAS.
This is the second time I tried order pickup in a Michael's store in NJ. I have no problems when I shop in the store, but I am a mom of 2 and find order pickup a lot easier. I do it at Target almost weekly with no issues. The first time I did it, after 5 hours of no confirmation email, I called the store. They were confused and the nice woman finally shopped for my items and then I went there and no one was working order pickup and I had to flag someone down. Today I did the same for 2 small items. After 3 hours I called and I got a young lady with an attitude on the phone. She told me it would be ready "soon" and I told her I wanted to cancel it because I was just going into the store to get it myself. She told me that I could, but when I went online it said "preparing". 2 more hours later (5 hours to get 2 items off the shelf?) I got a confirmation email, and they were out of stock of one of the items! So frustrating and they should not even offer this if they can't compete with the efficiency that places like Target or even other smaller stores can deliver.
Horrible products horribly overpriced Go to Jerry's artarama they have useable products
Everything here you could get better quality anywhere else for cheaper

I was experiencing a frustrating day shopping for Spring decorations and decided at last moment to see what MICHAELS had to offer. Jean at the Onalaska, WI store went above and beyond my expectations with her excellent customer service. I am very happy with my purchase and will not hesitate to visit MICHAELS at a future date. Thank you Jean!
Aug. 10,2023. In the custom framing section, served by Jenna. She was super helpful with our framing of an 8×10. Very happy with the customer service at the Bedford Commons store in Nova Scotia
So... how much sense does this make? I go to Michael's to buy a frame for DIY project... I find one for $159.00... PERFECT! I buy it and go home and complete the project... and last but not least, I hang the frame on the wall. My wife begins searching the internet and sees the same exact frame at Michaels for $119.00 (On-line purchase... in store pick up only) Hmmmm I call Michael's and explain to them of the their $119.00 ad on- line for this frame I joust bought... I ask if I can get a price adjustment since I already installed my piece in the frame. They say "Sorry" we can't do that... the price is for on-line only and you must pick up in the store (Basically, they won't ship it). Hmmmm soooo let me get this straight... I have to remove my item out of the frame, retrieve the packaging from the garbage, drive over to Michael's to return a now used frame, and repurchase on-line to get a $40.00 credit? I guess Michael's would rather scrap the used frame for a new one? All for $40.00? Are you kidding me? Does any CEO of Michaels's read these reviews? How much sense does any of this make? Do you want to save money? I can see if it's an online purchase and it ships to your house... but you have to go to the freaking store to pick up! How about splitting the sale between online and in-store and save the consumer from a bunch of... and I'll be nice... running around! Ok... now I feel better...
I ordered online they billed my account for the entire order. The next day I received an email stating some of my items were cancelled since they didn't have it in stock of course it was the ones the we're on sale how convenient. They still took the money for the entire order and in the EmaIL it said I was not billed for the cancelled items they said to contact my bank. You would think they would reimburse or at least offer store credit as they know it was billed cause in the email it states it may show up on your statement that you paid for the whole order. I know I paid for it all my bank even said that they charged my account for it.DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY ONLINE. I've never shopped Michaels before this and I will never again.
Is there a reason why You put stickers on the metal part of the hooks. That defeats the purpose. You can't crochet if the hook is sticky. And yes I tried to wash it and it didn't work. Not to bright.
I placed order for same day delivery, and used my vouchers. They canceled almost everything but one item. Which still I never received even 2 days later. Never got my vouchers back also!
Orderex a frame and was very dissatisfied. For what I paid you would think it would have actual glass but no it was plastic. Did not state that when I was ordered
Answer: Why can't you speak with a supervisor or team leader.Do they have any or are they just that busy.
Answer: I've found the prices at Michael's to be about the same as Joann's Fabrics, depending on what you get and how big of a selection you're looking for. Joann's obviously has a larger fabric selection, but the rest is about the same based on the stores in my city. Michael's has some very unique jewelry supplies, if you like to make jewelry. If I just need something pretty basic (paint, brushes, thread, jewelry chain, kids crafts, etc.), I go to whichever store is closest to the area I'll be in that day. If I'm working on jewelry, I check both stores because the selections are different and the prices are about equal. Hobby Lobby may have some better quality items, but you'll pay a lot more than what it's worth.
Answer: Not legit. Just try to get to the corporate office. Look at the reviews... not legit in any way.
