I would assume they would have more in there stores since the take over of Darice. Darice had an abundance of crafting supplies at a GREAT price! Micheals is a great disappointment. They should really step up thier game or they will loose a lot of customers.
U can not buy the same item in the store as the same item on line for the same price. What the blank is the difference? Did not buy the frame at 30dollars in the store. On line 15 dollars? That's a crazy practice. On line shopping. Stupid. Like to see what I buy first.
I tried purchasing an Valentine's item at the store and since it did not have a price Lee along with her coworker took some time to try to find the price. When one of rhem could not find the price Lee snatched the merchandise against the counter and she told me it could not be sold even though I pointed out where the Valentine merchandise was. When Lee seemed upset with the situation she raised voice and showed anger with her gestures. I asked her for her name which she provided with aggression by pulling her name tag towards me with a lot of aggression. At that point I thought Lee was going to lunge towards me. I highly recommend an anger management class for her.
I placed an order this morning that I needed to cancel about 20 minutes after, the website would not let me cancel for some reason, it had the option but I could not click on it. After an hour apparently it cannot be canceled and you have to wait until it is shipped to your house to return it. I couldn't cancel it 2 hours after placing the order which is crazy to me. I called and tried to explain my frustrations on the phone and the girl on the phone seemed like se was just reading from a scrip. Which annoyed me even more. Half way she just hung up on me.

They are currently selling a Schylling Toy guitar in store for $41.99 (so called SALE PRICE 20%off). It can be bought at another retailer for $11.99 each. NO THANKS MICHAELS. You are a RIP OFF plain and simple.And your sales staff are the rudest in the industry. I cant provide a proof of purchase because I walked out without buying and then discovered it was available for less than 1/3 the price.
Place order for same day delivery, paid the tip for driver, received emai and text that the order was delivered, but i received nothing. Called Michaels and fot someone in India that was no help

Placed an online order with Michael's the Bala Cynwyd store at 3:12 pm. I did receive a conformation stated it was received. After waited all day, I called the stores at 8:12 to check the status, o was told the order was ready, and they close at 9:00pm. Once I arrived at retrieve my order, then I received a confirmation my order was ready at 8:40pm. The order was for two (2) items. And they didn't include a receipt!
I can't imagine why a small order, would take all day to fill!
Your money here i can get the same product for about 50 Percent less for yarn at walmart and hobby lobby although there is more supply at walmart.com ment to put one star but even that is too much
I have been going to Michael's for years. I love it, the store is clean, people are helpful and nice. Melanie is an awesome cashier she is very friendly, my family loves her.
I picked up an order of 6 large canvases today and once I got home I noticed that 4 of them were badly damaged. I drove 2 hours out of my way to get the canvases because only 3 could fit into my car and I had to make 2 trips. Once I got home and got the canvases out of my car, I noticed that 4 of them had badly damaged corners so I called up management and spoke to a lady called Lilian. Lilian was incredibly rude to me and put the phone down on me when I was asking if there was anything she could do. I was very nice on the phone, kept very cool and simply asked if there was a way I could send photos of the damaged canvases to the company as driving another 2 hours with another 2 trips to get the canvases back to her and an extra trip to drive back with the new and undamaged canvases was a lot of work and hassle for me when someone on their floor made a bad mistake. I am pretty sure the canvases must have been stored at the back because no professional artist would buy these canvases on the floor with the amount of damage they had. Right now, I am shocked that this lady called Lilian is even a manager. She behaved like a child and clearly has emotional issues or anger issues. How can any management employ somebody so unprofessional. I am appalled at the lack of customer service. Shame on management. I will never go back to this store ever again.
The Eatontown Michaels is Garbage, the woman manager is very nasty. The way she talks to the employees and customers is disgusting. The shelves are empty and when you ask for some help the manager acts like its the end of the world. The store is very dirty needs a new manager ASAP! Notice few fire hazzards in that store. Bathrooms are dirty. ITS GROSS I will take my business to JOANN'S
I moved several months ago and changed my address at Michaels for shipping. After FOUR missed deliveries I am finally giving up! How could they mess up this badly this many times!?
I am no longer fond of Michaels's store. Their inventory is consistently out of stock, overpriced, and quite disappointing. Sadly, I must bid farewell to Michaels.
I had Michaels frame a canvas painting for me it came out all wavey and wrinkled, I took it back to them to make right, but they couldn't fixe it, told me thats the best they can do. I later took the painting to another professional shop and had him fix it. Thats is sad that being incompetent is the new norm.
Michaels is trying to SCAM customers with their return policy. They are claiming CHRISTMAS purchases are not returnable at this time because christmas items are CURRENTLY on clearance. If you purchased your items prior to being on clearance they owe you a refund. DO NOT fall for this BS and "bully" attitude. It is a shame but you need to know your rights because Michaels does not think CRAFTING WOMEN are smart enough to know them. Just shop elsewhere as you have now been warned
VERY hard to reach a person when you have a problem. They only shipped a small part of an order but I have to wait three weeks to get refunded. Customer service is NOT real for them
Unfortunately after purchasing an item today at Michaels I realize that it was inappropriately placed and/or labeled at their store so when trying to use the Silhouette Cameo replacement blade I realized that it was instead a rotary blade. I scrambled to get to the Michael store and arrived at 8:57. Upon arrival I realize that I would not be able to run in and purchase the item I needed because they had locked the doors early. I was able to call and get a hold of one of the employees and when she sent me to her manager he basically hung up on me. I will not be purchasing anything from this store in the future. I certainly realize the challenges of staffing and have my own challenges as somebody who is managing staff as well as working for over 30 years in a variety of customer service positions. However, this is poor customer service in all regards. To hang up on a customer and not give them an opportunity to search for something that would take one minute is pretty rude, especially when you don't honor your store hours. I guess I will be shopping elsewhere.
Rupal Desai, Bloomingdale Michael's, 1-6-2024: First, Rupal was extremely helping with helping me find the best knitting and crochet products! She took much time in locating several products. She was leaving the department, but quickly turned around when I asked for more help. When checking out, Rupal spent MUCH time in helping me use the Michael's app. I did not know anything about it. Her education about the app, time, and kindness were unbelievable! Thank you Rupal for caring for GREAT SERVICE, and caring about me!

Answer: I've found the prices at Michael's to be about the same as Joann's Fabrics, depending on what you get and how big of a selection you're looking for. Joann's obviously has a larger fabric selection, but the rest is about the same based on the stores in my city. Michael's has some very unique jewelry supplies, if you like to make jewelry. If I just need something pretty basic (paint, brushes, thread, jewelry chain, kids crafts, etc.), I go to whichever store is closest to the area I'll be in that day. If I'm working on jewelry, I check both stores because the selections are different and the prices are about equal. Hobby Lobby may have some better quality items, but you'll pay a lot more than what it's worth.
