Melio Payments has a rating of 1 stars from 5 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Melio Payments ranks 155th among Payment Processing sites.
Melio offers no protection against fraud. If your account is hacked you are just out the money. If you are a bookkeeper or accountant, you will be open to a professional liability claim.
We've been using for a couple years now with some hitches and glitches yet all the same there is literally zero support and you're trusting them with your banking information? We've had payments lost and other issues and now can't even login bc their "2FA" email codes don't arrive and they're not responding. Today looking up reviews and BBB rating is F. Sounds about right.
No Accountability Stay Away!
I found Melio through Capital One Bank, which gave me a false sense of security as I have come to find it was just and ad not a partner with Capital One which is company I trust.
The service was advertised at a rate of 2.75% but they charged me a 2.9% transaction fee.
Trying to resolve is impossible.
Not having a published telephone number on their website is the first indication they have no accountability and are totally devoid of customer service.
Stay away!
My customer started using this service through Quickbooks a month ago. I have yet to receive a payment, although they are taking the money from her. It has caused much discord in our business relationship.
Online chat and email is a joke. I have spent an hour a day for 2 weeks trying to solve this problem when I could be working manufacturing in the business.
Our company has used Melio services for about 6-9 months, after they were offered to us through Quickbooks. In the beginning everything worked fine... checks were delivered to our vendors and ACH payments transferred.
Over the past 4 weeks, a number of problems caused by them have created significant disruptions in our vendor relationships. Among these problems: ACH payments sent to the wrong account (that doesnt belong to our vendor), and checks not sent to vendor. I understand that in any business there can be problems along the way. However, when these problems occur, a customer service team needs to be willing and able to resolve these problems. Especially in the financial services sector. The customer service support is completely missing. For weeks (!) we have been trying to get support from them to get the payments made that are supposed to be made.
Weeks ago, Melio deducted funds from our accounts, but has failed to forward them to our vendors.
There seems to be a complete incompetence or indifference about customer problems at Melio. Its an absolutely terrible situation, which is compounded by the fact the Quickbooks promotes it inside of the Quickbooks Online platform.
I can only recommend other companies to stay away from Melio. We are switching our payment processing to another vendor now.
Hi Alex, we are sorry you feel this way and that you had this experience on our platform. Without getting into the specifics of your case, it appears there was an error in the ACH details, which caused the funds to be sent to the wrong vendor. We understand Elliot from our team has been in touch with you and that the issue has been resolved. Feel free to contact us again directly at support@meliopayments.com if you need any further assistance.
All the best,
Team Melio
