The fake people not really wanting to meet or date just wanting to scam you are about 10- 1 you may meet 5 real people and 50 scammers do not give anyone your phone # and dont call anyone who give you theirs Scam city. Stay away
Most users on the site were a lot older me. When I used it at 15 years old, men asked personal questions. They asked about my underwear, chest, appearance and if I was a virgin.
I suspected that something was wrong, but I answered back. To me, it was a way to make friends.
For a while, men were sending me vulgar text messages -one user was a woman like me! Twice I saw a man's private area and felt disgusted.
Worst of all, I mentioned my cousin one day and one of them asked me to do something dirty to her. That was the last straw and I deleted my account soon after.
This app is full of pedophiles and I don't reccomend it to people younger than 20. Be safe on Social media and don't share Personal Information.
Was on this website clear back when it was MyYearBook and it use to not suck so bad. The only way to connect with people on here seems to be by going live and doing one of the challenge hashtags (it pairs you with someone random in the catagory you choose). Even then - this website sucks now. See the trending live? Yuck. Bimbos. The messages - all bots. Something positive happens? Discreetly intercepted by MeetMe. (the loading / won't load pic)
I have told men they should go hire a prostitute then they block me this a joke if your having a normal conversation they block you some are married. One guy had the same picture he kept tell me I was crazy then he blocked me such a loser. Yes their are a bunch of scammers they say they live near you then they are $#*!ing piece keeping mission to some $#*!ing country. Then you report them then I get blocked.
Not many women in my locality and I'm not out in the sticks and very few replies to messages
As with all sites you are continually bombarded by young women both English and foreign ( no doubt false profile images) admiring your picture and viewing your profile in the hope you will contact them and be scammed
According to the profiles on here Lowestoft, Bacton and Bloomsbury are packed to the rafters with stunning super models. Come on Meetme...if I've noticed it you must have so get it sorted!
I took my mates advice and signed up to a few extra sites as used to only have a wejustfit membership. I was getting quite a lot of interest and a few dates with that site but now ive added tinder and meetme and TBF I dont see a big difference yet. It's a B- from me ATM as I do like some things but hopefully the dates will come soon as ill be much busier on weekends! Finding someone nice to settle down with doesnt happen over night thats for sure lol
I had my account for a few months now and it logged me out and now I can not get back into my account. It asked me to change my password, which I did but now it's not letting me in. Says username/password are incorrect. I have contacted customer support but have not heard back from them
MeetMe is safe, free, and effective in it's purpose. It has its downs, like spam-bots, but, every site has those! There are some glitches, however, they do not ruin the site.
I gave the site 5 stars, instead of 4, because of the unfairness of the first reviewer...
A disgusting app for those looking to scam others for money...
The owners behind this app are money hungry. Save yourself.
This app is a trap to get you to move in to meetme and pay monthly rent.
Too much manipulative tactics designed to hurt the user and benefit the owners.
Most of the people there are fake accounts. Most of the real accounts don't do anything more than post pictures for likes. They make almost no attempt to keep the site spam-free and what little they do is automated, so it's more often used to harass legitimate accounts than it is to remove the spam and outright prostitution that exists there.
I would give MeetMe 3 stars personally. I've had a date but only one so far. I had three by this point on wejustfit.com. Think about that for a second. MeetMe is still good but is it still the leader? Times they are a' changin'!
After I paid to use the app, my account stopped working, changed my password a dozen times to try to log in, but never once worked and no one responded to my email help either! Scammed! Hope I can get the refund!
I met my boyfriend on here in April but the road was long and torturous. This site is full of whackos and freaks. I spent most of the time blocking. Luckily I finally came across my boyfriends profile and found a diamond amongst rhinestones but I would not recommend this site to normal people because the chances are very slim to find someone sane.
It use to be a great place to meet new friends and it has turned into a dating site, which has led to a lot of sickos sending nudes and sexually harassing women and fakes, lots of fakes... I think they need to go back to being a "meet friends" site and restrict users from sending nudes, or asking for nudes... We have too many sickos and dating sites already.
Could use some major improvements. I really think they messed up big time when they went from MyYearbook to MeetMe--There's no web/desktop version. It's just all around crappy.
The admin of Meetme discriminate and bully against certain users on the app. Like disallowing males to talk but allowing females to tell people to kill themselves. The admin of meetme deserve prison time.
Theres woman with 100 pictures of same woman with a different names asking for she making a thousands of pounds now have to find out who is using fakes and using celebrity pictures with out permission
I have absolutely no complaints. I may be biased and may have been lucky. I used the the site about three days and deleted my account because there were to many guys getting on my nerves. I made a fake profile and used a fake picture so I could look at the guys without the aggravation of seeing 15 Hey beautifuls every day. I came across a very hot looking guy who seemed a lot different than others. So I took a chance, thinking ya right he will never agree to go out. I immediately admitted to my fakery, he seemed to be a little angry, I refused to give up and remained persistent because I saw something in his eyes.He finally agreed to meet after a week of talking. That was a month and a half ago. We have both been incredibly happy ever since and are head over heels in love. We are looking for a place together.
This site is the absolute worst for meeting anything decent. 99.9% of the men are liars and scammers and most of them are from Nigeria. You can tell by the way they speak and by the way they act and pay attention to their location.
This is by FAR the best dating site I've ever been on. Every other site I've been on the people have been nothing but rude. But the people on meet me have been nothing but polite because unlike other dating sites there is an etiquette policy. When I would go to plenty of fish they would be nothing but RUDE and disrespectful. I always always hated plenty of fish and people on meet me are great. Plus the people are much more local and you can find friends there because it's not just a dating site it's also a friendship site. And people actually respect that there too!
I am being harassed. I never signed up for MeetMe. My photos and info was stolen and an account was opened that I never have or never will give my permission. Delete it, I do not and have not given my permission
Answer: Don't worry, it doesn't necessarily mean that your husband is on this dating site. They often use outdated profiles just to attract more users and to make themselves seem big and popular. I found lots of fake profiles there, that's why I really don't like it. I switched to http://j4Iove.com It's just a tip for those who look for someone real, genuine and interested. Meetme is just a garbage bin comparing to it.
Answer: It should bring up a password reset screen. You don't say which country you are in. If you put your phone number in on the reset screen, it will text you a code number to put in on meetme. If you are in uk you input your phone number as +44 replacing the first zero of your phone number. That should log u in, Then go to your profile and do a password reset. That might ask you to put your phone number in again for them to text you another code. That should either log u in, or send you a link to change your password
