Best pricing, great product, quality material! Use the guarantee fit for your first order, then after that order away. If you are tall I guarantee you cannot find a fit like these pants will give you off of any rack even the $300 designer jean brands, (believe me I have tried). Since getting my measurement via the guarantee fit route offer right I have ordered 10 pairs of jeans over a long period of time and all have been perfect (stretch and non-stretch denim). If you following the directions perfectly that they give you will not have any issues, in my opinion the folks who have issues probably did not follow the directions exactly. My experience with their customer service has also been excellent.
Shipping rates are pretty crazy. They ship from India, so North Americans be warned about the customs to deal with. If you make an order with more than one of the same item, yup you get double customs.
The worst part was dealing with their Customer Service folks.
The material seems kinda cheap.
I received my pants and for the most part the fit was good. The length while the document said was 44.5 it was actually 45.5. Its OK my wife can hem them.
Delivery was by DHL. Is mail cheaper? It cost me $35 in customs duty. This plus the CDN$ exchange rate made these pants over $130; no longer such a good deal. However I do like the fit so will probably continue to buy pants here.
Jeans arrived and are terrible, way too big around waist and legs, clearly the custom measurements are not used. Complained and was asked to send pictures which I did alongside pictures of jeans that fit well. Heard nothing back so followed up with Dwayne again only to be asked for pictures again. Save your money but if you're brave, save the measurements you submit so you can check them. Very poor product in terms of fit, not custom otherwise they would fit, appalling aftercare service. Avoid.
Instruction on how to measure for custom made jeans is very helpful. I found it a little confusing regarding the payment method - you should display Pay Pal as a separate method of payment instead lf displaying it mixed in with the Credit Card logos.

This is the first time I have ordered custom made jacket online. Finding a petite size leather jacket is a no more complicated.
It is a little bit challenging to get all the measurements right doing it yourself. I would suggest grabbing your friend or partner to help.
Having the option to give custom measurements makes the experience so much easier.
I was impressed with both the quality of leather. The large amount of color choices is a bonus as well.
I especially liked the options for adding a warmer lining. I was able to wear it in place of a big bulky coat into the moderately cold winters.
A quality made item for sure.
Isn't the entire point of "make your own jeans" that they make them to the measurements you send? So why, when they don't make them correctly, do they have the nerve to tell me, in these words, "we did nothing wrong". If the policy is "we only remake if we are off by more than 10 percent, for example, then say that. But don't pretend like you guarantee the jeans will be made exactly as your clients ask. My jeans were too long. Wash them, they said. Except I did wash and dry 3 times and they were still too long. Take them to a seamstress, they said. Wait. What? Didn't I just pay you to make them the length I asked for? The knee is too big. They say, if there are specific dimensions you are concerned about, you should have made a note with your order. Well, except your site says tell us your measurements and we'll make your jeans exactly that way. Never doing business with makeyourownjeans.com again.
For the distinguished buyer looking for a hassle free experience buying custom jeans... look no further! Comfortable, stylish, custom made, custom designed... even have my own personal branding on the back tag... love it! Already bought 2 more pairs!
Overall, great... I screwed up on my first order a bit, because I mis-measured, and it was my fault not understanding the measuring process, however, have since ordered another pair of jeans and I'm sure when they come, they will be dead on...
Overall good... but you need to provide alot more detail on the page where you show the fabrics, colors, and types of jeans... grant it, I realize alot is customed after the fact, but it could still be more detailed.
I've bought 3 jackets - the tailors followed my preferences to the letter & I've been delighted with the results. Using this service has meant I can obtain the item I want that just isn't available on the U. K. high street. Good quality fabric, style & fit every time. The only negative is having to use Paypal.
This company took $130 from me to sew a pair of trousers. They are located in India. If you order from them the purchase is not covered by Paypal protection because "custom orders" fall outside of their protection so whatever you do, don't buy from them. My pants arrived without belt loops. They claimed that was how I ordered them, which is absolutely incorrect. They then offered to fix it if I pay $20 for return shipment. The assured me in writing that the additional $20 would cover shipping back both ways. Once they had my additional money they demanded that I ship it to a US address at my cost, essentially changing the terms of the deal after I paid. Now I am out $150 for pants I can't use. I no longer trust to return the item, because once they have the pants they will hold me up for more money.
It was my first time ordering anything custom made and boy I'm impressed. My jeans fit GREAT!. Hopefully they will last cause they are a tad expensive. 79 bucks plus 10 bucks shipping. With that said I'm happy with the purchase. Shipping was like 2 weeks not bad at all.
MakeYourOwnJeans Men's Clothing is a great online store for men. You can find here various styles and colors of jeans, t-shirts and more! The prices are affordable for everybody to buy what he wants. Don't miss out on the opportunity to buy quality products at a very good price here!
I am built really weird. Basically straight from the waist to the hips. It's really hard to find decent jeans that fit. For years and years I have looked at jeans on makeyourownjeans.com. I hesitated every single time for fear it would be messed up if I ordered some. Finally after gaining 50 lb, and all that I could find were ugly pants never really fit right and we're not figured flattering at all, I ordered a pair. I can't even explain how thrilled I am with what I was sent. They fit perfectly. I plan to order more! They're very well made and I love the fabric.
I ordered my standard size which I purchase for all of my pants and when these "custom" and supposedly superior jeans showed up I could not even get them over my hips. Again, nothing fancy here but just way off... day yourself a favour and buy pants you can try on in the store and not these garbage jeans. Really poor quality!
We ordered jeans for a seven foot man. They fit when we took them out of the bag. One wash on cold/air dry and they now fit a 6'4" man with a waist that shrank two sizes. This company refused to reply to any of my questions. I wrote them many, many times but they will not back up their own product.
The jeans provided were made of a very heavy material. While made to my dimensions, the heavier material makes them too tight to wear. I asked for assistance and was told the jeans were to the dimensions specified.
If you value your time and money do NOT buy from MakeYourOwnJeans. This is a shady, sleazy outfit with the WORST products and even worse return policy. Do NOT be fooled by the images on their web site. What you actually receive has no resemblance to what you see. They take your money and give you the worst product imaginable (poor quality and poorest workmanship). Once you pay them you practically have no chance to return the product and get a refund. I called my bank and they are investigating the matter. I have every intention of exposing this bad company for what they are and protect other consumers from such a predator.
I wish I had done my research - great idea but execution and product quality is appalling. Jeans were not even close to the measurements I put in to their website. Its incredulous that they even try and and suggest that their cutter had checked the product, I mean a blind monkey but make a better fit.
I suspect they are buying jeans from some outfit which themselves have discarded as being wrong and then this firm is just selling them OTS as close a fit as possible to the order that comes in.
Customer service - Harry/Paul who whoever you want to call yourselves are idiots - oops sorry, I'm the idiot for falling for this scam. I guess my moral judgement got the better of me this time.
Next - report to the credit card company and try and get my money back for which is obviously a scam. I even returned my jeans with a tracking number and yep - they claimed they never received them.
Answer: They do not take returns. Even if they mess up you have to pay return shipping, and upon approval, they will fix the issue. They have certain fabrics that are fit guarantee, but it seems like you're out of luck if they are hideous or don't fit right. I just emailed pictures of the 2 inch error in the waist of a pair of jeans I ordered I don't have high hopes for any resolution, I think I am out the money. I will stick with store bought jeans from reputable stores with good return policies, Or thrift store jeans.
Answer: They don't. They state that they allow a 2% margin. What happens when its outside that? They ignore you and 'hope that you understand that'. Bad customer service, but you only find out once they get the product wrong. Use at your own peril.
