In 2013 I ordered a mix of socks, tees and underwear that cost $450 USD, not cheap but the point was to get good quality and better comfort then the other brand names. Fast forward to today and the Tees are still in perfect condition but most of the socks and half the underwear died in the past year. That's 8-9 years of everyday wear and the shape and fit never changed.
As my aging inventory was dwindling, I reordered a similar package expecting the same results but something changed and everything I had loved about the MW underwear was gone. The fit is awkward and unsupportive, material is paper thin and fades after 5 washes and the waist bands fell apart on several pairs after a few months.
I'll assume they sacrificed quality for profits, why else would you fix something that isn't broken.
Half of the underwear purchased has become defective. The elastic waist after washing became so crinkled they are uncomfortable to wear, This means the other six has cost me double. It is not heat from my washer or dryer. It appears to be cheap manufacturing,
These pants look great and feel great. They are very poorly made. Holes developed around the back pockets the second time I wore them. I emailed. They sent me a replacement pair. The exact see thing happened. I had bought 4 pairs one in each color. All 4 pairs began falling apart with perhaps 6-10 wears. Stitching along the main seams has come undone on all 4 pairs and this causes holes to appear along the seams. The quality is appalling for such expensive pants.
I have purchased multiple times from MW. Both boxer and briefs. Boxer feel and durability were terrific in the beginning. Now with printed boxers not as comfortable or as durable. Will not be purchasing anymore as they are 28 dollars plus a piece and value is questionable to me.
I made an online purchase on November 13,2020. The same day I received a shipping notice saying the items had shipped with a USPS tracking number and they charged my credit card. As of today I have not received my items and the tracking number says that USPS is still waiting for the shipment to arrive. On December 11 I used their preferred method of communication and received an automated response saying they will respond in 3 to 4 business days. As of today 12/21 no response. I get at least 2 marketing emails a day from this company, maybe they should move some of their marketing employees to customer service until they can get it right.
I have bought from this company in the past and loved their products, at this point I just want my money returned.
The Ace Sweatpant product is great. Customer service horrible. Had option of free shipping or expedited for $15 2Day. Wanted to make sure product arrived before a vacation. Product arrived a day later than expected delivery. Contacted customer service and Julia basically said "yes, it's disappointing when you've paid for expedited delivery and don't receive it." Company emailed me to ask how Julia did and basically asked what they could do to make me happy. I responded [twice] that I was disappointed and expected more from their company - especially as a first time customer. I felt a refund or credit of the $15 shipping fee was reasonable. Not even the courtesy of a response. Tells me that my business is not important or appreciated.
I was once a loyal Mack Weldon customer. Until just before Christmas.
Decided to treat myself to a new pair of Ace Sweatpants, my Christmas present to myself. I receive an email from MW offering free silver mask with purchase over $70. I try to order a pair charcoal grey and the item is out of stock. I ask if I can place an order, then await until the item is back in stock to have it shipped. Was told they can't take an order for an item that is not in stock. Absolutely insane, Then I receive another email from MW offering 20% off orders over $70, plus free shipping. I send two more emails asking if I can place an order to take advantage of the 20% off promotion. Wait for it, wait. No answer to my emails. Big surprise. Just ry to reach anyone in leadership. Brian Berger is the CEO, he doesn't give a rats a$$.
I won't ever buy another product from Mack Weldon.
I was a long time Mack Weldon customer, but things have changed since I started buying from them in 2016. What used to be excellent quality has turned into subpar materials that come apart after a few wears. Furthermore, they overhauled their loyalty program to reduce it from a 20% discount at the time of sale to a ~5% discount AFTER each sale, while raising prices substantially. I can't imagine any preexisting customers will continue to buy from them after everything that has changed, and I wouldn't recommend anyone new waste their time.
So I went to my order and found that there is no easy way to write reviews, I think even you guys only allow good reviews and bad reviews are not kept or published, this is data manipulation and fraud scam. I will report this to authorities. You guys are nothing but scammers, selling product full of dye chemicals leaching when you hand wash gator, which will damage skin and lungs. Give option to write fair reviews and explanation on the toxicity of the dye on the skin and lungs.
Bought a crew neck sweatshirt a year ago. The fabric is nice but the fit and finish is subpar. The neck line is loose and flabby. Nevertheless, I ordered half zip sweater over 4 weeks ago and still haven't received it. They take your order and your cash and send the order in Asia for production. My first order took over 8 weeks to arrive. Will see how long this one takes and get back to you.
I ordered two items from Mack Weldon. One was the wrong color - i decided i didn't like the color or the item. Went to website area on returns. First action: list order number and zip code. Answer: no sales with that order to that zip. I submitted email to customer support. 2nd attempt after a few days. Same.
My advice - avoid Mack Weldon. Matt OConnell
The site is awful try to forces you into buying items you don't want no way to remove items from your cart if you decide you don't want. Just a scam so if that happens to you don't buy any of it just awful
So the clowns at whack Weldon accept my order and charge my credit card. I get a tracking number which shows the clowns never dropped off product at the post office. They finally realized order never went through snd now there's none left. Complete moronic imbeciles. This may be the real reason they work at Whsck Weldon.
I get it---hype the brand, claim outstanding quality and people will be stupid enough to pay $70 for a pair of sweatpants. I was. They didn't change my life, bring me to comfort nirvana, etc... they are fine but obscenely overpriced. Mack probably pays 80 cents to have a pair made. I have read they alos carry $24 per pair underwear, shocking! --frapppppppp. Don't waste your money, buy cheaper brands that also won't change your life, bring you to comfort nirvana. I never heard of ultra stretch jeans--bought a pair of wranglers for $16... every bit as comfortable as Mack Weldon's life changing garments... and they look like jeans... so 4 or 5 of those or Mack? No contest
I purchsed 4 pairs of airknit briefs, 1 silver tech briefs, and one t-shirt, but can't leave a review for some reason on the website because there's no option to input a review so I am leaving it here! The only thing i like are the silver tech briefs, everything else sucks for the price. First of all, they're all made in china and quality isn't top notch as you would expect for the price. Second, the fit is so damn weird and uncomfortable. If you wear your pants to your belly button, then you might like these underwear. The fit is old fashioned to the belly button and the legs below pouch are not long enough. I wish i didn't spend all that money on these stupid underwear that don't even fit well. I also use puma and adidas performance athetic briefs and those feel way better and a fraction of the cost!
MW was once one of my favorite brands, but sadly I've now made my last purchase. The underwear is fine, whatever, basically like all my other underwear is "fine, whatever." The "cheaper" line of t-shirts straight up suck. Don't bother. The overpriced line is much better quality, but still overpriced. The last straw though are the $80 shorts that are literally glued together, then UNglued. Seams just peeled right apart after a couple washes. (See photo: extra pockets, yay) Crazy ridiculous. Mack is whack. See ya.
"international surcharge" is 20%. Claims to be for duties and taxes, but that's ridiculous. Not even UPS gouges that much for brokerage. Charge Canadians more if you'd like, but don't couch it in border costs. Just a scam. Stay away.
PS. Customer service also quite poor.
First I have to say the quality is not bad. Soft cotton and fabric. However what I received originally and what comes out after wash are two different things. All the polos seem to shrink about 1" all over. It's really not idea.
Also the lack of a contact phone number for customer service is quite cumbersome. I recently sent in a customer service request and got an automatic reply stating that it may take up to SIX business days for a response. This is a bit ridiculous.
I wish I would have checked to see if this company had a phone listed on their site, they don't. The only reason any company won't give you a place to call is due to constantly cheating people they would get a million calls per day. I did find a phone number on Google search *******872) but they do not answer except for a message saying they wont pick up and to email them. Another company that won't give out a phone number is Rock Auto, same bad customer service and I think they are in New York also. By the way, the underwear suck.
Purchased a pair of their pants for my son in LA. They were shipped and said they were delivered but they were never received by my son. I have emailed them 5 times and posted on their Social Media [which from any other company you hear back in minutes] and no response. I want to be refunded. There is no phone number to contact them. When I am in NYC they are going to get a visit... they are a terrible company.
