My wife and I went into Lowe's to purchase a washer and dryer set. The ONE PERSON that was working in that department had a line of 12 people. Every person working at Lowe's just walked by like they didn't see this poor guy struggling to help anyone. Not a single other worker came over to assist. When we were finally able to get some service, the lady was super rude and acted like we were ruining her day because we needed help.
We got the washer and dryer ordered and setup delivery. On the day of delivery, nobody ever showed up. When my wife called Lowe's to ask what was going on, the person on the phone told us that they were a third pary delivery service and they couldn't give us any assistance. We had the confirmation with the date and arrival window. When the lady on the phone finally was able to look up our info, she then told us that the delivery would be the next day. She was very adament that this was the delivery service's fault and not Lowe's.
The next day, the delivery was supposed to take place from 1-4PM. At 12:02 they rang our doorbell. I wasn't home at that time because people have jobs and my wife and I BOTH took off Monday to be home for the original delivery. I had to take ANOTHER day off so that I could be home the following day. When I pulled into my driveway at 12:36PM, still 24 minutes before they were supposed to deliver my washer and dryer, the Lowe's delivery service was packing everything away and was about to leave because nobody was home for delivery. Again, they weren't even supposed to be there yet, but they were more than ready to say "screw this house" and leave without delivering our washer and dryer.
Lowe's has been absolutely terrible lately. I also tried to buy a grill at Lowe's last week. I'll spare you the whole story. Bottom line is... I still have no grill. In the future, I'll be going to Home Depot.
I purchased a complete set of sofa, and two loungers, sold as outdoor furniture. Within two weeks they rusted. The manufacture Festival Depot tell me that they will not refund or replace because "outdoor patio furniture" is not for outdoors and that once I ordered, paid and received my furniture, it said so on the building instructions! I never even saw them since i paid someone to build them. Plus by then they are out of boxes, delivered and being built. Funny time to tell someone outdoor patio furniture is not meant for outdoors. Even the picture on box of furniture is taken outdoors.
The WORST time waiting for an installation. Nobody called and I'm still waiting for the phantom installer!
Lowes would not give $200 rebate as advertise when I bought my John Deer $2000. 00 riding lawn mower I paid cash!
Bought a riding mower. Was told one left so we bought it with a two week waiting period for delivery... 2 weeks went by... no mower talked to sales man that sold it and he completely changed his story... BUT wife listened in on conversation. WE recieved a phone call telling us the product would be delivered the next day between 9-1 pm... no one showed up. After several attempts to talk to customer service, or shipping departmey OR ANYONE we were put on hold EVERYTIME only to be disconnected. FINALLY someone a answered and we told them NOT TO PUT US ON HOLD. Then were were told our mower was on a truck but could not reach them by phone. Then after again waiting we were told the item was not shipped because Deere did not come to check it out. No one called to tell us this instead we were fed lie after lie. Then we were told deere would come friday and delivery would be sometime saturday... today(friday) Lowes called to tell us of YET another delay, but at least someone had the professionalism to let us know. So now we must wait until they call us sunday after six pm to give us delivery time. This experience forces us not to shop there and to relay our expeience to our friends
I purchased a patio set from their daily deals on 4/26 and saw where I was pre approved for the cc and could get 20% off my order. I applied, they then tell me I can't use it until I get the physical card. I then tell them to cancel the card and I'll just pay the way I planned to in the beginning. Fast forward 2 days, I look at my account and it shows an additional charge of $59. I call their customer service and they say it was freight charges. Never once did it mention a delivery charge, matter fact it shows free on my receipt. I sat on the phone with customer service for an hour and a half for them to offer me a $25 gift card and wouldn't allow me to speak with anyone higher up. This was my second time shopping with them and I'm sure the last.
I payed to have a fan installed. HANDY is LOWES contract install company. They gave me "*******@Appalachian Electric Company. I called the number you gave me (several number) and no one ever answered or confirmed the install appointment. Waited for them to come. No call, no text, no communication from HANDY or Debra.
I called HANDY. A young girl answered, I said please give me your supervisor or someone else there. She couldn't and said she was alone there (and still I could hear people in the background). I said who owns HANDY, let me talk to them. She just kept repeating she's sorry, she the only one that can help me.
I thought - what cowards to let this young girl take the fall for their incompetence. She kept apologizing and I felt sorry for her.
Your contract with HANDY should be revisited, and find out how young they're hiring their contractors. She also spoke with a very heavy foreign accent which made me really feel sorry for her that they put this sweet girl in that position.
Nobody answers the phone. Called for 30 minutes. I finally gave up and called another store for another 30 minutes. They did FINALLY answer and told me the part I was looking for was at the other store. I went by the store to pick it up and complained about how bad customer service is as far as getting anybody to answer the phone (it has been this way for over a year). I was told that it is now corporate policy to under-staff the stores to the point that they do not have anybody to answer the phones any longer. I hear customer service has picked up at Home Depot so I guess I will start going back to them. If the management at Lowes ever wakes up then maybe in a few years I will try them again. Till then if Home Depot does not have it and it is something I need the I will get it off Amazon.
Lowe's hires people who don't know what they are doing! They are the most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with!
Lowe's Mount Pocono Pa location is the worst location to call for information. Service will never answer the phone and if they do they hang up on you when you ask for a manager. I spent over an hour contacting them over 4 times thru the day. That branch needs serious help.
I special ordered a door for my bathroom at the store. It resulted in 6 weeks of waiting, not knowing where my door was because nobody called me to update me. When the door finally arrived it was the wrong one because the "Manager" of the department never showed me an image to help explain what LH vs RH means when ordering a door. I will never order anything from them again.
Its a poor state of management that on the 3rd trip to get an "instock" item you have to do a "pick up later" to try and buy the item that they still cannot find sfter the pick up later order has given them 2 more days to "find"
Lowe's is terrible. I wish I could give a negative-star review. First, Lowe's took my $2,000 for a washer and dryer, but then failed to show on the confirmed delivery date and didn't even call to warn me. When I finally got a live human on a Lowe's 800 number - after repeated unanswered calls to the store - I was told, oops, my store hadn't even received the merchandise ordered two weeks earlier and couldn't make delivery for another two weeks. When the washer and dryer did arrive on the new delivery date, I was told, oops, these were European models and couldn't be installed in the US. When I called the store to complain, the Lowe's representative blamed ME for ordering European machines. Which struck me as odd since Lowe's website, which was so happy to take my $2,000, didn't say anything about selling non-US-compliant merchandise from a US store for delivery to a US address to replace (US-compliant) appliances made by the same European manufacturer. The guy didn't even apologize. I'll never do business with them again.
In 2019 we purchased 3 doors from Lowes which we also had installed. I had requested a metal exterior door. As rainy season was here I kept smelling a musty damp order on that side of the house. Upon inspection I found the carpet soaked and the new wood casing damaged. I called the location I purchased them from and the first thing that was said to me is that they are out of warranty and I needed to call the manufacturer. I requested some one to come to my home to see why reluctantly they did so. I found that the original installers did not put the rubber weather strip on the bottom of the door, did not caulk and most of all it was a wooden door which is now damaged. The person that came out was not the original installers but took pictures and was going to e mail them to Lowe's that was Nov 2020 I called again in Feb 2021 and they were going to call back asap. Here it is in April and no call. So I guess I'm SOL as rainy season is almost here and I have to buy a another door. I had no problems in the past with the widows & doors installed in my other home. The sad thing now is Lowe's lost my window replacement they are losing my carpet replacement but most of all you lost a long standing customer. Shame on you and business is based on your customers
I was searching online for a particle brand of a condensation pump. Online it stated they were a available at Lowe's. I got the robot answering service and was connected to plumbing. After being hung up on three times, I tried to get the customer service desk. The phone was never picked up after three more attempts. They lost my sale. I found a different brand at a competitor.
My husband and I went to the Store and purchase a freezer for delivery. We waited a week and when they came, they took our old freezer and the one that we received was a floor sample. I could not believe it. I was livid. We called the store and instead of apologizing they made it seem like it was my request to purchase a floor sample at a brand new freezer price. We spoke with the associate manager, they wanted us to wait a week for another freezer to be delivered. To make a long story short, because I had to deal with them for most of the day and called corporate to make a complaint. We had to purchase a bigger freezer if we didn't want to wait for a week. We paid the difference and she scheduled the delivery in two days, which is a Monday. On Monday I called the store, and was transferred to the delivery manager who stated that the freezer was sitting in lumber and it's not schedule to be delivered today. I am beyond mad at this point. They are so unprofessional. The managers do not give a damn. Even though I spoke with corporate and they were suppose to make things right, this still happened. I feel insulted. I am done with them. Give me my money back so I can go somewhere else.
Ext. Warranty not worth the paper written on. Robert Storey in Sioux Falls cares nothing about customers.
I placed an online order on December 1st for an exterior door for my house. 4 months and I still haven't receive my Door. I had to reschedule the contractor 3 times for the installation. Lowe's customer service told me that unfortunately they are waiting for the manufacturer to deliver the door to them. "You know COVID has delayed everything " said a representative. My advice don't order doors from Lowe's unless you are in no rush.
I have had my place measured and it's been a week I ha e spent money for my house. Now I was told that this person had to get new estimates today and now it's 1230 pm. If your people don't want to make this high price sale I will go to home depo. And I have told this person and it seems he don't care. Don't give me a runaround I use to do that stuff for a living in Massachusetts. Be straight up not a lying peice of work.not happy it's already been over a week.
Our story began at the Altoona, PA Lowes. On February 22,2021 we ordered ceiling materials. As we are not familiar with all the intricacies of building material, we relied on the "experts" at Lowes. The ceiling along with the ceiling track was ordered and set to be delivered on March 8th. My husband called the store on March 5th to verify the delivery as we had contractors schedule to install the ceiling once it arrived. Delivery was verified through the store--so we schedule the contractors. Monday, March 8th came, no delivery. We contacted the store--"Whoops! Sorry, it was not scheduled for March 8th, it was scheduled for March 9th Tuesday--it will be there tomorrow!" Tuesday, the ceiling and track arrived. Right ceiling, wrong track. As a reminder, the "experts at Lowes" advised of the type of track to order for the ceiling tiles we ordered. We called Lowes again about the wrong parts--the correct parts would cost three times as much as the original parts and would be about 2 weeks out for delivery. We still have contractors on stand-by. Regardless of the uptick in price, we asked to order the new parts. We heard nothing for two weeks, so we called again about the delivery schedule. Customer service had no idea when the track would be delivered. We asked for a Manager. Manager would get back to us after looking into it. Another week=nothing. We called again and were given the number for the District Customer Service Rep, who advised us he would look into it and get back to us. Never heard from him. Called again, District Rep said they were still looking into it and we would receive a call back within 24 hours. Fast-forward another week; we are now at 3/29/21... we called the rep again this morning... contractors still waiting, ceiling, no correct track... we were advised this morning that the new ceiling track that we ordered on the 9th was never processed.
Additionally, because so much time has elapsed we are being informed we cannot return the items we already purchased through Lowes... the ceiling tiles with the incorrect track. This big box company is abysmal. There is no accountability, customer service, or integrity. I was forced to even give them one star for this review---that is one too many.
Answer: They aren't a s cam but their incompetency will make you pay extra for shopping with them
Answer: Same here and Lowes is no help! All they tell me is there is a delay, sorry
Answer: The price will be less but you will overpay with your time
Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
