Their testing department and support is a total failure. In May 2019, I could not watch any of my cameras (multiple locations). I was told after long talk with support guys that the problem is on their side and it will fix itself in couple of day and it got fixed. I had to spend 45 minutes or so to get this message. It should have been not more than 5 minutes.
Now Aug 2019, the latest FW upgrade has stopped all my cameras again. First I was told to hook up a monitor and mouse to the recorder unit and call them back (after 2 hours on the phone with support person). I had hard time understanding the people on the phone (I made multiple phone calls), phones are bad and the accent does not help either. Finally after hooking up the monitor and mouse, my unit is in the attic, I was told I have to hook up a computer in the same network. I hooked up the computer in the same network and now they wanted to change my router, so I had to figure out all the information for the router. After they changed the router they are telling me that I need to call my ISP. This is a Joke, right?
Why don't you provide me the old FW (or new one that fixes this problem) and let me upgrade the fw using the usb.
I would give away the system free to anyone who wants it. Piece of Junk, don't bother.
I would suggest Lorex to review the ability of their Tech Support Contractor. Back in 2017, I had very support and very good knowledge from the Tech Support but recently (Aug. 2019), I called and the new Tecbh Support absolutely have no idea how to solve the problem with Firmware upgrade and migration from Flir Cloud to Lorex Cloud.
I would say "you get what you are paying for".
After my NVR updated the firmware I could no longer view the cameras on my computer at home. The Flir Cloud software showed the cameras off line. I called for tech support and waited for about an hour. I finally got hold of a foreign lady who I simply could not understand. The headset she was using was awful. I repeatedly asked to speak to someone else and she refused to transfer me until I informed her that I had Lorex corporate information pulled up on my computer and that I was going to call them. Believe me when I tell you this company is a total joke. Lizy refused to let me speak to her supervisor when I requested to do so. Our connection was awful and she could not speak good English. In short, after approximately nine hours on hold with tech support and speaking with six individuals I was finally transferred to someone who knew what I was talking about. After a firmware update the Flir Cloud Software would not allow my cameras to display over the internet. William immediately said we have to get a Lorex program on your computer that will allow you to get out of your LAN so you can see your cameras. I allowed this man to take charge of my computer as he uninstalled the old cloud software and installed the new Lorex software. He walked me through setting up the three NVR's and wallah, the cameras were once again on my remote computer screen. William is a saint, but what a hassle I went through.
I own three camera systems, but never again will I go this route. NEVER
Bart was who i spoke to and he did a great job at assisting me with the setup. When I first called, I waited an hour on hold, then I hung up and called back and my call was answered almost immediately. Hope this info. Helps others.
Do Not buy Lorex if you want reliable security camera bc their Customer Service is a DISGRACE! I called multiple times and have been on hold for 45 min to 2hrs and nobody answers! BUT if you call the Sales Dept to purchase new products, they answer on the first ring. Once they hear you have an issue, they hang up on you (Victor was the rep I got that rudely hanged up on me mid sentence). The site and instructions says call Customer Service for issues but they don't even pick up the phones. Don't email them either because you will never get a reply back. Don't waste your money on Lorex!
No respect for customers! Took my whole system and tossed it in the trash. I'll accept the loss. No support. Terrible customer service, a lot of empty promises.
No customer support what's so ever they take your money and run. I have tried calling and also left my phone # for call back and still no results. Very very very bad customer support, same your money and make sure you buy from a United States base support.
I purchased a premium cloud plan and 6 cameras for my house to work on them. After a few months they discontinue the cloud plan and all the software that supports the cameras. Now I am stuck with cameras that do not record and all I have is a live view of the cameras. Not to mention I still paid for the annual cloud plan that no longer works. They just take your money and run. Stay away from the systems from these guys,
What good is a product if you can't get in touch with technical support. Waste 30+ minutes getting to someone that doesn't speak english, then they transfer you to another department and you hold for another 30 minutes for someone who can't help.
Pathetic. Save your money, buy something else.
My 720P DVR went out and I replaced it with a 1080P the picture quality is awesome. The technician were very helpful at Lorex.
I am so sick of your lack of technical support. I waited over an hour to speak with a general support tech just so I could be transferred to tier 2 support. Upon being transferred the tech asked me for a case number and then routed me back into the general call queue which will take yet another hour before anyone picks up, at this point tier two is closed and so I will now have to come back yet another day to work on this. I am asking for a full refund of this defective product. My request has been submitted (case#*******).
We have no choice but to leave bad reviews for your product and will no longer be a customer or recommend your product. Please expedite the return and refund so we can take our business elsewhere.
You will send them a return and they won't process it FOR OVER A MONTH AND A HALF.
I have caught this company in a lie several time. I will not go into details because it could possibly reveal my case.
One more thing, the moment they got my email I started receiving phishing emails for my provider's domain. How odd. This email address was pure and received ZERO spam for over 5 years.
Worse experience ever. They will jerk you around and do everything to not honor warranty. They have you jump through hoops to get warranty. They purposely mislead and just make you go through endless steps and lie to not honor warrantly. Told many times (after 15 different calls and "required" troubleshooting with tech service which I can't understand and have no clue) that warranty was authorized but I had to email reply with required info they already. They pretend they never get the email I sent 30 times then send me email so case is closed because I don't responds. Liars and bull$#*!. System less than a year old and problem after problem. I am about to throw it in the trash. Tech support is worthless
Lorex tech support worst one ever. I purchase Lorex 1080P HD security cameras system for 3 weeks.And one of the bullet camera will not change to day mode. It stay black/white 24hrs even when its daylight outside. When I changed to a different bullet camera and its works just ne with day/night mode. And I even test directly at the DVR with different cables and power supply. And the Tech Support said i need to reset my DVR to default. Why I already told you that the camera is bad and it will not change to day mode and the LED on camera stay on 24hrs. Only show Black/White. So hard for exchange for new camera. Case *******. I will not buy another product from Lorex or recommend to anyone.
From the time we installed our cameras we have had nothing but problems! Cameras haven't worked in months I have spent hours upon hours calling in and trying to troubleshoot what is wrong with them. I cant understand anyone I talk to and I feel like they are just giving me the run around and not fixing my cameras. These products are crap! $600 for cameras that NEVER work! LOREX CASE #*******
I ordered a 4 camera system with DVR and it shipped reasonably quickly. When it arrived I opened it up and all 4 cameras were wrong and much cheaper than the ones that I ordered. I immediately called support, got them the right info and they said that the expedited replacement cameras would be shipped out within 72 hours. It has been almost 3 weeks and I have spent hours on hold and every time it is "Please call back in two days".
This is my first purchase from Lorex and I am not impressed. They are unable to correct their own mistake. If I would have know that Lorex was such a disorganized company then I would not have purchased their expensive system.
I am to the point of sending them a daily request for status via email and I have yet to get a response to any of them. They already have my money and don't seem to care that I got scammed.
They don't answer the phone, you put in a work order and they might get back to you in a few days, the one time they did call me back I couldn't understand a word they said, made an appointment for a call back the next day at 9 am, they never called.
Have had the system for a month still not working on the cloud.

Ordered a LWF1080B-66 3 weeks ago, 21 days ago!... this 6 camera system was to be delivered within 5 to 10 business days.
I received an email yesterday, 21 days, 3 weeks after I ordered the system stating that Lorex was cancelling my order... no mention as to why, just if I wanted more informaiton, to call their 1-888 number.
So I call the number last evening and am told that no one is working that would be able to help me, call back in the morning.
I call back, and over the course of 1hour and 10 minutes, get shuffled between 3 departments. I did not speak to any of the three that long, I was mostly on hold those 70 minutes!
I am then told that the product is on back order and they do not know when it will be available but hey, they are offering me a 20% discount on another system that would cost me $400.00 dollars more, WOW what a deal!... NOT
I ask, why did you permit the order to go through if it was not available?... all I get is sorries... not helpful when I required the device 2 weeks ago!
Then they try to up sell me to another device that is $400 dollars more!... sounds and smells like a scam to me!
I bought their camera system because it said "Flir" on the website but apparently Flir sold them off already. This company is NOT an American company and has no US presence but profits off of selling to US companies and offering nothing more than a cheap pathetic Colombian call center that offers absolutely no solutions whatsoever. Their corporate office is a myth, doesn't exist. The website lists them as having a Canadian address with only an email address to contact them. Their product isn't half bad but their customer service is beyond awful.
