My son-in-law was off on a trip and the lawn was getting too high for the grandkids to walk around in. So I called lawnmowingonline.com. They were v-e-r-y prompt, did a good job, I was quite pleased with the service. The website was easy to navigate as well. I'm very happy with the service and ease of use.
We used this service previously and they were great. We placed 2 orders in the last 2 months and have to cancel both orders after 10 days due to no service and no response.
I never heard of the company before till a couple of days ago because I was looking for a good business that I could depend in to mow my lawn. The people that walk around my neighborhood be asking for $200 just to cut some grass! I wasn't having that, so I Googled lawn care services and the first link I chose was LawnMowing Online. I am very happy that I did. I did not have to break the bank and when I had a question to asked the contractor. He answered it right away. Wish I knew about these long ago. Thanks for everything :)
Update:
This is how they treat their customers:

I'm not here for the customer service, that's what the contractors
Provide. I just ban rude customers like you from the website.
What a joke! I have been using this service all summer and have ALWAYS requested Walter. Tonight I reordered due to all the rain and as always requested Walter. They are now saying you cannot request a specific mower. Customer services exacts words to me:

If it happened in the past it should not have. This has always been the
Policy. Customers do not know the schedules of the contractors so they can
Not demand that a particular contractor accept the order. If you do not
Like this policy do not order.
I fell in love with this service. Yesterday everything looked great except one area by the house wasn't taken care of. It's confusing because it's next to a vacant lot, which I don't want them to mow. So I sent the 'problem' message for a first time. Seriously, not 10 minutes before an emailed response from the contractor. We cleared up the miscommunication and he came back out this morning to get that patch. There are always going to be occasional glitches in communication. It's the really great services that can offer excellence when things aren't going well, like what happened this morning. I'm probably now a customer for life.
Lawnmoweronline does an amazing job of taking your order and your money. Unfortunately, they do an extremely poor job of ensuring THEIR contractors provide the agreed upon service. Uber for lawn care? Ha! Far from it!
Update: Check your facts lawnmowingonline. Your contractor was a no show for days. I contacted them though your site as instructed and they made up lame excuses as to why they didn't show up. It was only then did I cancel. Don't lie in your responses to reviews.
Update: The fact is your contractor didn't show for days and they made up excuses at to why they couldn't make it. Your responses here confirm for me your poor customer service and why you deserve a negative rating.
I found this website by doing some researching on Craiglist and ordered a job for $19 + an additional $6 because my grass had gotten out of control. I sent a message to the mower that they were welcome to come the same day if possible, otherwise, they could come the next day as scheduled. He replied immediately to my message and said he would be out the same day around 2pm! I was very happy with this and was able to give him a tip online through the website after his job was complete. I went out to check the front and backyard and was very satisfied with the service. I will definitely use again and very happy I found this company. I have many rental properties and plan on using this website for my other properties. A+++!
I have used this service 3 times and all 3 times Walt has done the Job. He is FANTASTIC! I can book online and Walt is extremely reliable. He even showed up in the rain today. The Lawn looks awesome and Walt is always efficient with the work. Friendly, Hard Working, Professional, and Courteous. Im going to recommend this service to all my friends. Great Service and a Great Price!
I would recommend this site because it is easy to use and because they match you up with the best local service available. I am very impressed with this service and would recommend to anyone who has a yard that needs to be tended on a regular basis. For anyone that needs this kind of service I couldn't think of a better site to visit.
Their contractor made sure he cleared out all of the nasty weeds next to the garage, and then he used an edger around the sidewalk. Spectacular work, so glad I used them, and I will have them out again in the future!
STAY AWAY! I paid to get my lawn cut and they never showed up! He said if you add tip everyday then eventually someone will show up. I am not going to tip someone unless the job is done, period. After 4 days I decided to cancel and I was supposed to get my money back but It's been over 1 week now and I still have nothing. I filed a claim. I know its just $20 but I will not let people get my money if they did not deserve it! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE! I think the good reviews on here are probably their workers. Wish I did more research then rushing into wanting to get my lawn cut.
Three negative reviews within 1 week, all new reviewers. Fake review
I submitted an order that was not accepted by a contractor. I cancelled the job and was charged a $15 fee. This fee would be appropriate if the job was accepted by a contractor, but is unfair if they couldn't even provide anyone to provide the service.
From Support FAQ on LawnMowingOnline:
24. I placed a order and quickly cancelled and was charged a $15 fee, what was the fee for?
A: Cancellation fees are very common in service industry type businesses. Doctors, dentists, hair salons, moving companies and many other businesses charge fees if a appointment is cancelled within a certain time frame of when the service is being provided. So we adopted the same polices that those businesses do. If a person schedules services and cancels within 2 business days of the order being placed LawnMowingOnline reserves the right to charge a $15 fee. The policy has worked exactly as expected, more orders are getting accepted and mowed and fewer orders are being cancelled. Avoiding this fee is simple, just do not cancel within 2 business days of scheduling service. For example, if you order May 1st for mowing on May 2nd, do not cancel on May 1st, May 2nd (1 day) or May 3rd (2 days). The order can be cancelled on May 4th (3 days since May 1st) and there will be no fee. Of course by then the order will likely be accepted by a contractor and already mowed so there would no longer be any reason to cancel.
To make sure every customer knows about the cancellation fee it is listed in 2 places. It is listed on the Terms of Service page that all customers agree to before placing an order and the cancellation fee is explained in bold text and underlined on the cancellation page that all customers must fill out to cancel an order.
Every time I have used this service they have been excellent and always better than even anticipated. My yard looks beautiful and they come out the day after I place the order. I love it that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to have my lawn mowed and they are completely dependable. I will use them forever! THANKS for such a GREAT SERVICE!
First, they charged me 4 times to mow my lawn, refunded me right away for the 3 extra times, but then didnt mow my lawn. When I asked for my refund, they are trying to lie and say I purchased a gift card. Which isnt even an option on their website in order to try and avoid having to refu d me for services they never provided.
If there is any problem with a order all cancellations, disputes and refunds are done automatically on the website now by the customers. You do not need to contact support. Login and click CANCEL to cancel or DISPUTE to dispute the order. Then place a new order. Contractors that have cancellations or disputes are automatically given 1-star reviews which will warn future customers to not choose them.
Based on a recommendation on Next door, I contracted Lawnmowingonine.com to mow my lawn twice while on vacation recently. On the website, you select a mow date, yard size, grass length and any message to the mower. I clearly stated that a commercial mower would not fit between my garage and the pool in the back yard. Both jobs were picked up by a mowing service (the website doesn't give their name). The first mow date came and went without acknowledgement that the lawn was mowed. I messaged the mower each day. Three days later, the mower sent a message that he couldn't mow my yard because his commercial mower wouldn't fit in the back yard. Really? The same thing happened for the second mow date. Finally, I put in an order for just the front yard, which did get mowed. I had to pay extra because the grass was so long. Lawnmowingonline did refund the charges for the two unfilled orders.
I will never use this service again. The mowing services don't read their messages, they don't perform the work on the contracted date, and don't communicate with the customer, as stated on the website.
The website is extremely user friendly. I was blown away by how afforadable the service is! Before I found lawnmowingonline.com, I was paying more for work that wasn't done as well. I am so glad I found this service! I will continue to use it again and again!
Hello,
I read these reviews and they may be correct, but my experience with this company was far from great. First, you don't get the full scope of what is going on until you place the order. Such as cancelation fees and there was an issue with someone property being broken into while they were out.
I placed an order for the next business day - saw those FYIs and reached out for more information - no response. I then requested that I be notified in advance, so I could take off of work because I did not want my home broken into when no one was there - based on their information. No response. No one selected this job and I had added the additional funds as suggested. I informed them that I could not take off of work again to sit around and wait to see if someone would show up... No response. Canceled order and they had the audacity to charge a cancelation fee- for what? A SCAM! NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. Reporting to my Attorney General's office...
Customer agreed to be charged $15 early cancellation fee. Fee is in 3 locations: TOS that all customers must agree to before ordering, the FAQs, and on the cancellation page the customer read and agreed to before cancelling.

Pre-paid $50, service was never completed. Was promised a refund, never received. Got robbed! Do not use this service! Contractors are unresponsive with messages and online support is extremely not helpful. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE
Customer waited 4 months to request a refund. Refunds can not be sent after 4 months. Also looking at the messages the customer asked the contractor to clean their house instead of mowing the lawn. That is why the order was not done, the customer ordered lawn mowing, not house cleaning.
They charged a $15 cancellation fee when the job wasn't accepted by a contractor. They didnt charge the fee until after I requested, and paid for, another mow job. Terrible customer service. I will never use this service again. They shove their $15 fee and crappy job.

LawnMowingOnline.com provides quality service that is fast and dependable at an amazingly low price! They do a wonderful job and are courteous. I highly recommend them!
Answer: Wow, guess I'm not needed, didn't know we had so many fans on here. Of course there's a few customers that have been ban from the website that are complaining but they're just mad we don't provide them service anymore because they're horrible people ;)
Answer: 3 days
Answer: All contractors are paid unless the customer says the contractor did not do the work and requests a refund. Contractors work for the customer not LawnMowingOnline.com. Message the customer and ask why they cancelled and requested a refund.
Answer: There are no cancellation fees.
Answer: It depends on what the customer ordered and the tip the customer left. Some contractors only take bidding jobs which can be any amount since customers can order any service now, not just lawn mowing.
Answer: LawnMowingOnline does not keep contractors or customers money. We respond to every email. There is no phone support. If you did not receive payment, it's because the customer said you did not do the work and requested a refund.
Answer: It depends on the property. The order page can give you a detailed price.
LawnMowingOnline has a rating of 3.6 stars from 358 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with LawnMowingOnline most frequently mention next day, great job and several times. LawnMowingOnline ranks 2nd among Lawn Care sites.
Customer ordered and cancelled immediately. Sorry we can't mow instantaneously, we need some time to get to the property to mow.
EDIT: We don't need to lie in our responses, you were even charged a $15 cancellation fee because you cancelled so fast.
