Very satisfied! The contractor was on time, did an amazing job and cleaned up after he was done! My yard looks awesome!
We've given like 6 or 7 jobs to this site. Worked fine until the last one, which makes me completely doubt the value of the service.
He accepted the job, mowed the lawn within the time allocated, and then when we checked it out, he completely missed the mark. Left corners completely not mowed, and it seemed that he didn't even trim even though we paid more for trimming. It was the worst mow I've ever seen. We contacted him to come back out, and he responded saying he would... which he did... a week after the original mow. By that time, the grass had grown, and frankly it was kind of stupid to get him to finish. Based on other reviews, he has a tendency to accept jobs, and complete them on his time, not your's. I don't recommend using him, and frankly, I'm concerned about him accepting jobs at our home again, and I'm considering leaving this service and going with another service because they refuse to remove contractors like this from their program, despite multiple negative reviews and experiences.
Why can't we choose our own contractor? Why do we have to be concerned that when we use LawnMowingOnline we'll get stuck with a contractor that breaks promises and still expects payment in full? Six good experiences, and then one completely terrible experience with a complete lack of action relevant to multiple bad reviews has ruined this service for me.
Do you really want to use this service and take the risk that this guy will mow your lawn poorly, in two segments, a week after you needed it done? Carefully consider it, and seriously consider instead going with a competitor that will actually let you choose your own contractor.
Love the conscience of ordering & paying online. Contractors have been professional & do great job. Thanks!

5 days after my lawn was supposed to be mowed, on a job that was "accepted," I appealed to customer service through their website link for "Contact Us" and "Cancellation". I followed all directions about reaching out to the contractor twice, first. Three times, for each of the 3 times I appealed to customer service for cancellation or refund, I received confirmation (with those handy numbers for the claims) from their zen help desk that they received my claim. On the third attempt, I said that if no one from customer service reached out to explain how my request was being handled, I would appeal to Paypal to dispute the claim. I waited two more days and then messaged lawnmowingonline through Paypal.
Despite the fact that I have three "request received" notifications from *******@lawnmowingonline.zendesk.com, I received the following response "This customer never requested to cancel their order. There is a cancellation link provided in every email sent to the customer. The link is also clearly labeled by a large Cancel Order button on the Contact Us page. Contacting Paypal to cancel instead of going through the website is considered theft from LawnMowingOnline because they are attempting to have service provided without paying and cause harm to LawnMowingOnline's stellar reputation with Paypal. Because this customer attempted to steal from LawnMowingOnline and purposely damage LawnMowingOnline's reputation they have been ban from the website. Do not order again service will not be provided."
I'm the one who did not receive the services I paid for and in trying to remedy that, I was called a thief by their customer service. Who does that?
This customer never requested to cancel their order. There is a cancellation link provided in every email sent to the customer. The link is also clearly labeled by a large Cancel Order button on the Contact Us page. Contacting support IS NOT how you cancel. Because this customer attempted to steal from LawnMowingOnline and purposely damage LawnMowingOnline's reputation they have been ban from the website. Do not order again service will not be provided. The contractor has also been ban from the website. LawnMowingOnline does not tolerate contractors that take orders but do not finish them because it leads to complaints like this which reflect poorly on LawnMowingOnline resulting in all contractors suffering from lost income because one individual did not show up.
On 01/03/16 I ordered a mowing service and paid $22 to lawn mowingonline.com. Nobody accepted the job so, as per the websites suggestion, on 01/07/16 I added an additional $4 tip to the job. Still, nobody accepted the job and my lawn was never mowed.
On 01/11/16, I gave up and went to the Lawnmowingonline.com website and requested a refund for the job, which I typed in should include the $22 initial payment and $4 tip. On 01/22/16 only a refund for $22 was returned.
I reached out to the owner to ask why he couldn't just take the time to actually read my refund request and return both payments? A customer shouldn't have to stay on top of a business and wait over 2 weeks for refund. Owner sent an irate response, suspended my account and cussed at me telling me to F--- off. The $4 has still not be returned and it's clear the owner has no intention of doing the right thing.
This business is clearly a side gig that is run without an ounce of professionalism - you should NOT to business with this guy.
Customer requested a refund on a order that was placed. The order was refunded, but the tip that was added later was mistakenly not refunded. Rather than contacting support or filling out a refund request, the customer went straight to the credit card processor to complain. Unfortunately the credit card processor withholds the payment while they do an investigation that takes weeks whenever a complaint is filed. As with previous complaints, LawnMowingOnline advises that customers never go to the credit card processor, always try to contact support if there is a problem. After trying to work out the situation with the customer through our credit card processor the customer became hostile and angry, even resorting to typing in all caps. Due to this poor behavior on the customer's part their account has been ban from LawnMowingOnline and they have been advised to never order again. The $4 tip will be refunded when the credit card processor has concluded their investigation.
I would definitely recommend this service: it was quick and painless, and the fella did a great job!
They were okay until you have a problem then HORRIBLE! Do not use them. This is the absolute worst customer service ever and I complained to the BBB and am going to the State Attorney General's office over a $35 job that I canceled and they did not remove from the site. I canceled because the job had not been picked up in 10 days then after I got someone else to cut my yard they sent out a contractor that cut my yard 2 days after I had paid someone else. I did not even hire anyone until after I received their email confirmation of my order cancelation. This has been a nightmare for $35 because now they have me battling with a contractor while they are holding my money. Then to add insult to injury, after I complained to the BBB, they send me an email saying they will refund my money but they are providing all of my personal information to the contractor so he can pursue me for payment. No ownership of their error. I paid another contractor $60because my yard had become overgrown waiting on their service and they want me to pay again? I don't want anything for free and I pay for services rendered to me. I had been using this service periodically since 2012 and cannot believe the run around I am receiving. They have a D rating with the BBB which I had not checked out previously. This is the first business that I have ever reviewed but I feel it necessary as poorly as I have been treated. Recognizing everyone's experience can be different I just say beware.
The first contractor did not provide service to the customer so the order was reposted and the first contractor was removed from the website. The new contractor took the order and provided service. Customer was unhappy with service provided and requested a refund. Contractor attempted to resolve the cancellation request by offering to remow for free but the customer refused. Order has been cancelled and refunded, contractor was not paid by customer. Since contractor provided a service but was not paid the contractor was given the customer's personal contact information so they may further attempt to resolve. If customer still refuses to compensate contractor for their work the contractor may file theft of services charges or property lien against the customer for unpaid services.
I meant to press the Very Satisfied star. It's been great having the ease of using Lawn Mowing Online. Thank you for continued great service.
Thank you for your positive review.
Easy to setup, affordable, job well done by mower, very professional, excellent service!
Thank you very much!
What an awesome lawn-mowing website! It linked me with a qualified contractor in a matter of minutes.
The guys at LawnMowingOnline do an absolutely awesome job! My lawn looks incredible! Thanks guys! Five stars!
Really appreciated how easy it was to book my lawn mowing job online, and job was well done. Love the reliability of using LawnMowingOnline.com.
The lawn is neat. Other services I had hired
Were inefficient and ineffective, but LawnMowingOnline was unlike the rest!
Used this service several times, but the last time has been frustrating. Submitted a request for a mowing date a week out. They withdrew money from my account immediately but nobody ever showed up to mow. I submitted a request for refund, and instead of a refund, they rescheduled a mowing date which I did not want. I immediately sent a request to cancel that mow and requested a refund again. A mower showed up to mow, and luckily I was able to stop him before he got very far. A third request for a refund has still gone unanswered. My advice is to avoid this company because although it usually seems to work, in the event that there is a problem you'll never get it resolved. I will never use them again. Update: LMO online replies that cancellation was never received--but cancellation requests were submitted on their website. Obviously they're either not monitoring the website, or they are having technical problems. Second Update: LMO is obviously following these reviews because they have since directed me to the Contact Us page for cancellation instructions. (which I actually did try to follow the first time before just sending them a direct message on their website). Unfortunately the cancellation instructions there are not clear and seem to lead to dead end links. Furthermore, it's frustrating that now they're obviously aware of the refund request for service not performed that they don't seem to want to honor it. In summary, their website has basic functionality and is okay when things work. However, when there are questions or problems, their website functionality is sorely lacking with unclear instructions and incredibly frustrating to use. I originally rated this company two stars because I did use them a few times successfully before this fiasco, but I am very much tempted to reduce the rating to one star because at this point they seem more interested in arguing than actually solving my problem. My next step is going to be a complaint with the online Better Business Bureau because it doesn't seem like I'm going to get a refund for this service that was not performed.
You never cancelled your order. You still haven't. And you haven't told the contractor you wanted to cancel which is probably why he showed up to mow your yard. Only reason I know you cancelled is because you put your address on here in the notes for the business.
If I could give them zero stars I would. The lawnmowingonline folks in the Houston area do a HORRIBLE job, the lawn mowing is contracted out to whomever they can get. The first service I received was okay, the next one I placed the mower never showed up. I sent a message to the contractor via the website like they tell you to, the mower told me he would come out the next day, he did not show up. I then sent a message to company was told to re-list the job and then I was told to put a tip on it to get someone to take the job faster. I had to wait two days for a refund and in order to re-list the job, would need to pay again if I wanted to get it done asap, to see if someone would accept the job.
I tried the service because someone I know used it a couple of times and had an okay job done, but even she has since advised me that the service is not as good as it used to be. She's had job bids also accepted and then mower not showing up. Or listing jobs and taking a few days for them to get accepted, meanwhile if you complain to the company about it they "advise" to increase tip.
In my experience, if you are not in hurry to get your lawn mowed, do not mind taking a chance that someone may or may not show, and do not mind paying upfront for a job BEFORE it is done, then maybe you will do okay.
To me, not worth it. I also have read some of the other dissatisfied reviews on this site regarding their services and the responses from the lawnmowingonline.com rep calling the reviews "fake". The fact that a company would be so immature to refute a customer complaint as stating that is must be fake speaks volumes. You contract out your work, some of contractors do lousy jobs, customers have a right to make sure that other consumers are informed about the good and bad. Grow up and focus on making your services better instead of yelling "fake", it will serve you much better in the long run.
Lawnmowing.com is a great and affordable lawn service! I will recommend them to all my friends and family!
The service contractor was very professional and completed the job to my satisfaction. I would recommend their services to friends and family.
Thank you for your positive review.
Customer service is a big deal to me, Lawn Mowing Online has a quick response and turn around time. YES, Hire them today!
Very easy to book the service online. Excellent job! Completed on schedule. I will definitely continue to use. Thank you very much!
Answer: Wow, guess I'm not needed, didn't know we had so many fans on here. Of course there's a few customers that have been ban from the website that are complaining but they're just mad we don't provide them service anymore because they're horrible people ;)
Answer: 3 days
Answer: All contractors are paid unless the customer says the contractor did not do the work and requests a refund. Contractors work for the customer not LawnMowingOnline.com. Message the customer and ask why they cancelled and requested a refund.
Answer: There are no cancellation fees.
Answer: It depends on what the customer ordered and the tip the customer left. Some contractors only take bidding jobs which can be any amount since customers can order any service now, not just lawn mowing.
Answer: LawnMowingOnline does not keep contractors or customers money. We respond to every email. There is no phone support. If you did not receive payment, it's because the customer said you did not do the work and requested a refund.
Answer: It depends on the property. The order page can give you a detailed price.
LawnMowingOnline has a rating of 3.6 stars from 358 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with LawnMowingOnline most frequently mention next day, great job and several times. LawnMowingOnline ranks 2nd among Lawn Care sites.
Sorry to hear the contractor provided poor service. All customers can choose the contractor they want, just click on the contractor after any order and click the "HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR" button to hire the contractor again or choose a different contractor if that contractor is not available. Payment is not released to a contractor until the customer is 100% satisfied and clicks "approved" on a job, so if you had told him he needed to mow the entire yard again, he would have or another contractor would. We value every customer and do not take negative reviews lightly. This contractor has been permanently removed from LawnMowingOnline so they can not provide poor service to any other customers.
