Booked a weekend holiday hotel with lastminute.com, received my confirmation and when I attempted to check in later that night was informed that they had received no booking from lastminute.com and no record of our reservation. I subsequently called lastminute.com (paying for the elevated call rate they kindly offer) to be informed that an alternative accomodation would be found. Another hour later I was called back and informed that nothing had been found and that they could look further afield or provide a refund - with no guarantee of any compensation to cover my train journey home, phone charges, not to mention the annoyance of a holiday completely ruined by their incompetence. 3 days later I was called and, after at least 30mins of arguing, a paltry 10 EURO compensation... not even in the correct currency! Without a doubt the worst customer service I've ever endured and a truly incompetent company. Will obviously never be using again and will repost on all relevant review sites and relevant social media.
I was a pleasant experience to book my hotel with lastminute.com, easily done, very straightforward, and the cheapest option compared with other websites selling rooms for the same hotel.

Avoid like the plaque,impossible to speak to a human being after initial booking,you are directed to a chat bot which is incapable of dealing with your query I wanted to change holiday dates,bot didn't understand,I was directed to forward information,to which I was then met with a frozen screen and a computer code indicating something had gone wrong,decided just to stick with original journey morning of departure our flight cancelled,again impossible to contact,even though the responsibility was on the holiday company,(this lot) KLM did assist us, tried to contact them in Vienna,all my trip info had disappeared,our flight was delayed coming back and missed connection,again last minute totally inreachable I paid for insurance which is worthless if you can't contact a human being,save yourself some heartache and avoid avoid avoids,no wonder they are voted the worst travel company in the uk
AVOID LASTMINUTE! Purchased a long haul airfare ticket through Lastminute.com that advertised it included a piece of check-in luggage, and after purchase received a confirmation email that again said "1 piece of hold luggage included". Then went directly to airline to check the reservation and it said in black/white this was a Light fare and T&Cs that said check in luggage was not included and was charged a fee. Called Lastminute customer service reading the reservation T&Cs in front of me, and the service rep repeatedly insisted I was wrong, did not offer help, condescendingly said to not worry as it is included, and told me to call the airline myself to check. Unacceptable and appalling, this is not customer service. I did call the airline directly and they confirmed I was correct. Never buying again from lastminute. Worst customer treatment ever. DO NOT BOOK WITH LASTMINUTE!
What a scam, try complaining to them, an impossible task. We had flights booked through last-minute but unfortunately 4 days prior to travelling I suffered a serious leg injury. We phoned customer service and were promised alternative flights for our new date 9th May, Monday morning we received an email detailing the new flights, we accepted with a £191 change of booking fee. Tuesday we received an email saying that these flights were not available and they would send us a new booking. The following morning Wednesday, we received details of another flight unfortunately these were for exactly the same day as we had just cancelled.
We phoned customer services as once again to inform them of their mistake, they then offered us the exact identical flights, yes those that were supposedly not available! However they now wanted over £300.00 extra booking fee, why, because it was now less than 1 day prior to the day we were cancelling, not our fault We said you caused the problem. Answer pay up or you lose your previous payment! If that is not a scam then what is. We did tell them to stick their flights where a monkey sticks it's nuts. Robbing ba*****s.
My booking was canceled, and the fullflex refunded 90% of what I paid. However, there is no option to use vocher on their website, so I called them four times and they did not resolve the issue, and they removed the vocher option from their website because they make calls and ask for extra money to book again using vocher. Please do not use lasrminutes. CHEATERS. If they didnt resolve this issue i will make court claim.
I am Still getting asked for help from people waiting for refunds... so for any future people wishing to use lastminute.con... I would advise you look elsewhere... I was lied to constantly, as were thousands, as you can see from other reviews... it is suspected that the only good reviews are by the company staff trying to put a positive spin on the problems. So. Lied to. Told the refund was being prossesed, then after months of waiting, they changed the Web page, so it was impossible to get through to anyone. No contact numbers, no updates. As I have posted before. Your bank can order a visa recharge for you, forcing a refund back into your bank account, as long as you paid with a card. They just need any information you have from lastminute.con... It is the best way... Even now. However, for me I would never use this company for going anything. The thing is the owner who lives in Switzerland, earning God knows how much on your interest, possibly cares less. Good luck in your refunds, and don't use them if you have any sense
Absolutely terrible service. Called to make a change to a hotel reservation, was told that it has been done and when I contacted the hotel they said they didn't receive anything from lastminute. Called last minute again and they said they would do it for sure and 2 days later the hotel still didn't hear from them and after the third call they said they will escalate it but haven't heard back yet at all. This went on for 4 days, on the 5th day I was due to have my flight and when I called them I was told that they will guarantee that it will all be solved by the time I reach the hotel.
I have checked in at the hotel and guess who hasn't made any changes or contacted the hotel? Lastminute. This is my second day at the hotel and now I've received an email from them saying that I have to sort it out with the hotel and they're not going to help me anymore so I'll have no accommodation for a whole week, or I'm going to have to pay more money to book again for something that has already been paid for.
Not the greatest thing to hear when you're in a foreign country with your little brother.
Stay away from them and use any other company instead.
I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Last Minute travel agency. I booked a travel package with them and, unfortunately, forgot to use my discount voucher during the initial payment. When I reached out to their customer service for assistance, I was initially assured that they could extend the voucher as it hadn't yet expired.
However, my hopes were dashed when I contacted them again closer to the expiration date, only to be told that the voucher was not extendable, and the previous advisor had made a mistake. This inconsistency in information and their failure to honor their commitment left me frustrated and disheartened.
It's disheartening to see a company that I initially thought was reputable resort to false promises and excuses just to retain my money. This experience has shattered my trust in Last Minute completely, and I urge others to exercise caution when considering their services.

Shocking! Will never book with these again. I booked a short return flight from Barcelona to Manchester. They sent emails with a link to enter all passport details etc. But you apparently have to do it before the official Ryanair check in opens. (no idea why as this doesn't make any sense) I clicked on the link the evening before my flight and it said the link had expired. In the email it said I would have to pay 45 euros each way to check in! Managed to speak to Ryanair directly who thankfully were able to help out but it was stressful and super time consuming! Then on the way back Ryanair let everyone on the plane with their handluggage apart from me because my bag had a pull out handle and wheels (it fit in the measuring thing) and they refused to let me on unless I paid 20 pounds extra to take this handluggage on the plane! (On the ticket it even said it was allowed to be taken on the plane but they refused) Absolutely ridiculous and have never ever experienced something this bad! Also the return flight didn't even go to Barcelona, it went to Reus airport which I have no idea why it's called Barcelona as it's an hour and a half drive away from Barcelona and at night there is no public transport to get back to Barcelona. What a joke, will never book with these people again. Even rating them 1 seems too generous! I'd say -10!
Last minute is an easy website to use and have some bargain deals and I have booked many deals with them in the past but have recently experienced that there customer service is appalling. I booked a city break in August with them as a surprise Christmas present for my mam but while booking I entered a name mistake so I looked on there policy and it advised that any amendments must be e-mailed to them within 24 hours, I done this straight away within an hour. When I went to print my boarding passes off to give to my mam for her Christmas present the mistake had not been rectified so I contacted last minute straight away and forwarded the original e-mail as proof as they advised that this was never received. The telephone operators attitude was disgusting and never tried to help me at all and I contacted and spoke to various people that week and nobody was helpful or tried to help and I was constantly fobbed off to get me off the telephone that somebody would call me back which never ever happened. I then started to e-mail customer services to try and rectify this ss I was getting nowhere via telephone and Last minute are now trying to charge me £141.90 to do this. We fly one week today and this issue has not been resolved. Last minute ruined my surprise for my mam, I'm pregnant and this is causing me unwanted stress and I have found the customer service I have received from this company appalling and would never book another trip with them again and would not recommend them to anybody.

Lastminute.com do not answer any queries. You cannot contact them except through their "Chat line" which is utterly useless. You cannot get any sense from anyone. Please do not use this company.
We booked well in advance supposed to return to Liverpool on 7/10/18 but guess what these $#*!heads had booked the 6/10/18 even though we had paper copies for the 7th had to book five seats on jet 2 who where brilliant and pay £800 to get to Manchester even though the car was at John Lennon they have offered £557 compensation I will never use these rip off merchants again

I booked a 4 star hotel in city center for 10 days. After I checked in I realized the hotel was terribly dirty! It seemed like they never cleaned it for years! Stains on the walls, the shower area, and the terrible windows... You should have seen my socks after spending some hours in the room! They don't even clean the floors!
And when I wanted to cancel my reservation the hotel said they will not charge a penalty fee, but lastminute charged me more than one night penalty fee!
YOU ARE AN AGENCY YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO APPLY A PENALTY FEE OF YOUR OWN WILL! IT'S BEEN 10 DAYS AND THEY STILL DID NOT RETURN MY MONEY!
AND IF YOU ARE ABROAD YOU WILL SPEND POUNDS, POUNDS AND POUNDS TO REACH THEM BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE A FREE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE FOR ABROAD CALLERS! AND IT IS LITTERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM USING E-MAIL THEY WILL JUST SEND A GENERIC RESPONSE!

Booked a flight Corfu to Kefalonia with lastminute. When I arrived at the airport I was told that my flight did not exist, and that my name was not on the booking. To get to my destination I had to take a bus, a ferry, another bus and another ferry. It took 2 days and cost me £240. I've had no success contacting them via email or Twitter but I am reluctant to call because of reviews I've read here... DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!
Last Minute found me a great deal and booking was easy and efficient. They emailed by boarding passes and provided me with recommendations. I would definitely use again.
The worst agency ever.
Booked a flight for 5 persons. Flight was cancelt but the don't give the money back. Flight was about 10 houwers delayed so got an email from lastminute.com that I can cancel the flight and get my money back. I chose to cancel the trip and book another one. According to the European law I should get my money back within 7 days. I'm waiting for more than 2,5 month. I have contacted them many times. I have contacted Tarom directly to check what's going on. They send me an email that lastminute.com has not send a request to cancel my flight. And they couldn't cancel my flight only lastminute.com can. I have forwarded the email to lastminute.com and the don't replay at all. The only thing I can do is step to the judge/ European Commission to make a complaint. And I will!
Really poor service. Due to their own payment systems being down I had to book over the phone (for which you pay a premium number). They booked me on the wrong dates despite me having confirmed the correct date with them on at least 3 separate occasions. I then spent hours on the phone with them (on a premium-rate number) trying to correct it. They kept telling me that they would get back to me within a specific deadline. They missed every single deadline. I kept chasing, they kept saying that they would get back to me by a particular time, and then once again they would fail to do so. I finally gave up and rearranged all my other bookings to take the flights on the wrong dates. I later tried to add luggage to my bookings. They replied with a message saying that it will take 72 hours to confirm the addition of the luggage. Six days later, having heard nothing, I called again (on a premium-rate number) to follow up. They told me that the delay had been caused by the BA pilots strike. 1. I'm not flying BA. 2. The pilot strike was announced more than 2 days after I requested the baggage to be added. They have finally provided me with a quote for the additional baggage. One third of the baggage charge is last minute.com's handling charge. One third! They charge 10 euros PER PERSON for EACH LEG of the trip. As though they repeat the work for each leg. No they don't. They process it as a SINGLE TRANSACTION. At least airlines are in fact carrying your bags on each trip.
DO NOT BOOK! I booked with lastminute.com and the hotel was closed! Leaving myself and my 2 children outside of a closed hotel in a foreign country at 10:30 pm If I was unable to speak Spanish and ask a local lady for help I would have been screwed! THEY LET ME BOOK AND OAY THEM FOR A HOTEL THAT HAD CLEARLY BEEN CLOSED FOR A LONG TIME!
