I got a ugly swimsuit that i have not ordered from a guy called Richard Smigielski, Chelsea MA. I called the customer service it seems they are aware about sending random items to people. I've never bought anything in this store. Very weird! They are stealing people information from another website
Beware of buying On the Counter items. Bought a sundress it was an On the Counter item. It came in defective. Called to see if they would refund or return. They would not. Final sale is all I was told. I thought they would replaced it at least. So just a warning it the item is defective you are stuck with it. Was also told most of the of buying On the Counter items are returns. Does not list that anywhere on the website.
I received a rather expensive 3-piece jacket from Land's End and financed it in 4 payments through Paypal. I love their products, but their sizes seem to run very big because I just drowned in the jacket. I just wanted to exchange it for a smaller size and keep my financing in place, but they cannot do that. If I wanted to do an exchange I have to wait up to 15 days for them to receive the return and then they either credit you for the cost, less $6.95 for shipping or they give you a merchandise credit. There is no guarantee that the jacket will still be available at that time. They were more than willing to send me a replacement jacket in a smaller size and waive the $6.95 shipping fee on the return, but I would have to pay for the new jacket in full through them and give that person my credit card info, rather than using PayPal and then wait to get refunded when they received the return. If I wanted to use the PayPal credit again, I would have to do it online where I would get charged my first payment immediately, in addition to the payment that I already made on the jacket I am returning and I would then have to pay the $6.95 shipping fee for the return. It is quite possible that I would even have to pay the second payment on the returned item also if it were to take the full 15 days for the return to be received and processed. I cannot afford to do that when I live on Social Security. Most companies would just send you the replacement item as soon as they got the tracking info that you had sent back the return and they would handle any accounting for the product internally, so I didn't have to make double payments or risk that the jacket might not be available in 15 days. Because all their winter jackets are on sale now and usually sell out fast, I decided to order a much cheaper jacket, instead of the jacket I wanted because I have to make PayPal payments on 2 jackets until they process my return. In addition, I now have to pay $6.95 in shipping for the return and $9.00 in shipping on the second jacket because it wasn't expensive enough to get free shipping. So now I am not going to get the jacket that I wanted, I am paying an extra $15.99 that I shouldn't have to pay and Land's End loses out on $140 from my original purchase. So who really benefits from this sale? Sure I got a jacket, but not the one I wanted and Land's End made a $39 sale, but not the $178 sale that I had originally made simply because they would not do an even exchange without me being charged me twice. The next time I need a jacket, I will shop around and buy it from another company since they are so distrustful of their customers.
So I just went round and round with a CSR on a live chat. I purchased a sweater that I thought was sale. It wasn't. The website had stated to enter promo code DRIFTS at the shopping cart for up to 60% off. Well apparently up to 60% off can mean as little as 0%. I checked the fine print and the sweater I purchased was not in a category that was excluded. Sneaky sneaky sneaky...
NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!
NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!
How are they NOT completely BANKRUPT AND Out OF BUSINESS? I placed order Dec 3rd for my Elderly husband for snow boots FOR WINTER! Looks like they won't be here until spring! Not only did he have nothing to open for Christmas, But after messaging with them 3 or more times, the STILL CANNOT give me ANY IDEA WHEN THE BOOTS WILL BE HERE! I'm praying he doesn't fall on the Oce and hurt himself. Customer service have OFFERED NOTHING FOR THE FACT THAT WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS. I've had to keep massaging asking where the boots are! They don't even say sorry!
Of course all
The stores are sold out of his size! They may not even FIT Him so we will still be without boots! I ordered 2 pair so we wouldn't get stuck without boots for him. Clearly they cannot afford to place orders without being sure EVERY SINGLE ITEM WILL BE SOLD! They take your order then have them made in Asia and hope they get here within a year! That's CRAP! They did this to me 2 years in a row with their shearling slippers they arrived after Christmas but they were for me so I didn't care! This is NOTHING NEW ITS NOT COVID ITS NOT ANYONES FAULT BUT THEIRS! I just ordered 100 items for my business from CHINA LAST WEEK! They came today! My shipping was only $12 for express! 1 weeks! And Lands end can't get boots for months! They just keep saying, "we don't even have them yet so we have NO IDEA WHEN THEY'll SHIP! Well I'm DONE IM TELLING EVERYONE THAT WILL
LISTEN NOT TO BOTHER WITH LANDS END! ( No matter how good their sales are!)

I wear a women's tall. I moved recently up north and purchased pajamas and flannel shirts. I've got one shirt with sleeves that are 3" too short and four pairs of pajamas that I had to take off between 2-1/4" to 4-1/2" in length. I can no longer trust their sizing.
I purchased a Christmas gift for my wife. After 11 days from shipping it hasn't arrived and from the tracking appears to be lost. Land's End uses "Mail Innovations" (AKA SURE POST) which is a joint venture between UPS and USPS. UPS picks up and then hands off to USPS. This creates opportunities for mistakes. I contacted Land's End and asked how long I would have to wait for a refund. Their answer was "sorry" Sorry is indeed what this once good company has become
Ordered a gift to be direct shipped to a friend. Two weeks later, after getting the run around, they cancelled the order. They said it was no longer available. This was for a long- time friend whose daughter moved out of state and her cousin just died. She lives alone and is now depressed. We live over 200 miles apart, so she is pretty much isolated. This is a 76 yr. Old woman, so she doesn't get around much. I'm having an operation, so can't be with her for the holidays. Now I have to scramble and come up with something else while getting ready for the hospital!
For years I shopped at Lands End because of the quality and sizing but recently that's changed. Not only has the quality decreased but the S size went from 4-6 to 6-8 and now is too big but the XS is too small for me. I'm done
I've been shopping at Landsend for 20 years and was always pleased with quality. I never bought anything made of polyester or nylon.
Sizing is mostly consistent. Return is easy. Although you need to pay for it.
I bought a bathing suit. It was expensive, ($80 if I remember right) but I needed it for a trip. Then it was back ordered and I didn't get it for about 3 months. During that time there was a promotion that cut the price to $39 and I reached out to get the promo and they told me to contact them after I received it. They didn't tell me to save the actual promo code so I took a screen grab of the reduced price but didn't think to save the promo code. I finally get the suit and they only refunded me $16. This isn't the first time something like this has happened and I'm just annoyed by now and turned off to the brand.
Sizing changes over time so you can't count on buying the same thing at a later date and not getting a horror show. Returns are overly complicated and far too expensive. Pants that fit beautifully a year ago are now for a fat lady (a very fat lady) and cost of return is almost one-third the price of the item. Call customer service and get told you will have to wait 31 minutes. Getting out the sewing machine to tailor myself and not buying from this company again.
I ordered a raincoat with a lining. When it came, the color was lighter than the pic, and it was really a heavy winter coat - and the zipper did not work. I took it back. Then I ordered a sweater that looked tailored and fitting, but upon arrival was sized way too big, poor weave and hung like a sack, no form fitting at all. I will take it back. The only thing I like is their turtlenecks. Poor fashion design. They used to sell quality wear, no more.
They do not stand by their product. Washed jacket by itself that's less than 5 yrs old and nylon pulled away from bottom part of breast pocket. It clearly shows it in the pic I sent them but since it's past the 90 day return time frame I'm out of luck. Can't sew it because it's rubber around whole edge of zipper. Do yourself a favor and shop from L. L. Bean.
I placed an order and had to return 1 of the 3 items. It went very smooth but they were a bit vague on whether they were going to take a shipping fee out when it got to them, which they didn't. I got a little nervous after reading the review, so after a week in a half I called to see if they had received notice of my return, I was told takes two to three weeks. So I waited another week and called was told four to five to six weeks for returns to be received. Then I became very suspicious. I was told I'd receive an email. The next week I did receive an email with the full amount. The quality of the shoes I received are beautiful, my husband's insulated hoodie is also. The slippers were returned due to width the quality seemed like they were nice also. I would recommend when you get your gift card info emailed, place your order online so you can speak to an associate get the best price and not have to pay shipping charges. I hope this helps anyone ordering. Thank you Tami M
Bought 5 fleece tops.
One arrived soiled and stained.
Washed all items and one top was a wrinkly mess despite being in the dryer on low for less than 10 minutes.
Better yet--one top had fabric that was a fleece texture while the bottom sleeve looked to be another texture. Must've used the fabric that was at the end of the bolt for that one.
Astounded at the poor quality of the items in general.
I have had so much trouble from this company all year trying to order, keeps forgetting my password. Takes days to fix... product not embroidered... i'm am so done with this crap i would give a zero if i could
Says one price, then you click on the item and it's much higher. Will never deal with them.
Customer service was Not helpful at all
For many years I have have purchased my son's uniforms from Lands End and had been satisfied. My last two batch of purchases within the last year and a half have been a huge disappointment. I purchased several school uniform shirts and a gym shirt, and every item developed several small holes just a few months after normal wear and taking great care to wash correctly. Also on two of the uniform shirts the threading is coming undone. It used to be that my son's Lands Ends uniform shirts were in such great condition after he outgrew them that I could donate them, now with all the holes they are trash before the school year is out. So sad to see once quality merchandise go down. I don't know what they are doing now, but they need to go back to what they used to be. Very disappointed!
Answer: They charged me shipping on my order. (I no longer patronize them because they charge for shipping returns, even if the product is deficient.)
Answer: Beware of Lands End's current "free" shipping scam. We get emails almost daily from Lands End offering discounts on certain items or even any item they carry and the have also been offering "free" shipping. Of course almost every online shopping site is offering free shipping right now. The difference between all other sites/sellers free shipping is that they will either give it to UPS, FedEX, or the USPS and those people make the actual delivery to your door in a few days. I'm assuming it is an effort to save money Lands End "free" ships packages via UPS BUT only to your closest major postal facility and drops all the "free" shipments there. It is then up to the USPS to sort everything and deliver the package to your home. This can result in a delay of from several days to a week or more. Our latest purchase was dropped at the sorting facility on 12/5. From there it needed to be sorted and delivered to the mail facility that handles home mail deliveries. Bottom line is that we didn't get the delivery until 12/9. That is after leaving the Lands End warehouse on! 2/2. I get shipments from LL Bean or Amazon purchases delivered in 2-3 days. The response we got after questioning Lands End was that if we want deliveries in 2-3 days we would have to pay for shipping. Considering the delivery times I get from other sellers offering free shipping, I think Lands End is misleading customer's expectations of "free" shipping. Come on Lands End, I want that big brown truck to bring my packages to my front door and want it to be REALLY free or you have lost a long time customer.
Answer: I don;t know about knit pants but I have had the Starfish for a couple of years now and they don't become baggy--just a little but they bounce right back after washing. I was very happy with mine, went to get a new pair and ended up with a pair I cannot wear. Dismayed to find that returns are too complicated (expensive, too) so will be getting out the sewing machine to make them fit (they are huge in the thigh). I think the problem lies with having ordered Tall. The old pants are just Regular. Be careful about sizing!
Answer: Several years ago i ordered 5 bridesmaid dresses from LE. I had to send two back for a different size. The replacement dresses were a slightly different shade of the color. Then had to send all 5 dtesses back to get all same color. What a mess!
