The site, while intriguing is good if you're willing to pay a lot for a boost of self-esteem, but in no way should it be used for finding a significant other that one would eventually like to meet.
From my experience, I've come to understand that "trusted users" (the people you're talking to) on LaDate may resort to using bots, literally have to spam you to keep their trusted user status, and may very well be incentivised by other means for pushing costly "features" (ranging from a single image possibly costing $10 to open to much more expensive features).

Upon examining the documentation for becoming a "trusted user" who can use the platform for free, I discovered that these users are likely to receive a lot of spam and may even engage with bots to avoid being demoted. I highly recommend looking into the process of becoming a validated user before investing any money on the site. As of now (4/10/2023), it seems that trusted users must respond to almost every message within 10 minutes and maintain a response rate of over 90%. Additionally, they are required to send icebreakers to others, which might necessitate using bots.

This might explain why some conversations appear coherent while others consist of nonsensical text, highly sexualized content, avoidance of simple questions, and promotion of exclusive posts. It is unclear whether the platform's partners provide any incentives for this behavior, but there could be a "don't ask, don't tell" situation at play. Both partners and possibly the trusted users are highly incentivised to keep the costly content coming (I was even given a few "exclusive posts" in a span of just a few minutes, which were nearly the same content as previous emails and public profile pictures): Keep in mind that the credits required to open a single image can range from $0.25 to $1, depending on the quantity you purchase. If not taken into account, opening a single low-cost image could end up costing you $10 and exclusive posts would cost between $12.50 and $50.

Ultimately, individuals genuinely seeking a relationship are unlikely to behave in such a manner. Using this platform resembles playing Texas Hold'em with a heavily stacked deck. While it might be a good option for casual conversations (provided you're actually communicating with a real person and not a bot), finding an offline relationship may require a significant financial investment, time, and a bit of irritation in being strung along because you're part of a quota. Keep in mind that some users might engage with you only because they are compelled to do so by the platform's rules.
