Worst service ever they still have figured out how to apply principles on account worst call center agents they hang up on you or put you on hold then drop even the Kia centers can't help all I get wanted was to pay for my principles
Did a lease buyout April 2021 and after sending an odometer statement three times and calling every month for a year, I still do not have my title. You cannot talk to a supervisor, everyone gives you a different excuse for why they are so lame, and still nothing! After a year of calls and telling me the have mailed it to me, they now say it's still in process? Screw you, Kia! Do not use them for financing!
I've called six times to change the paperwork on a car. My Dad died and I did everything I could to sort out the car. Nobody ever calls back if there's a problem. They won't tell me what I owe on the lease BUT they will take my cash. So I give them arbitrary amounts toward a lease. I can't get my car inspected and registered correctly until the paperwork is in my name. I'm driving a car with screwed-up paperwork thanks to the runaround. I'm not exactly stealing a car if I'm calling to pay you for the car dumbasses.
We are on auto pay and they take the payment out up to a week before the due date. Then they say it won't go through and want us to pay for a pay by phone charge because thier system messes up.
I had leased my vehicle for 4 years and always made my payments. Called to make my final payment, the rep verified my info, put me on hold then got back on the phone, and said you need to return your vehicle your lease is up. I told her oh shoot I though it was the end of this month. Walked outside to my car, and it was gone. Called the police thinking it was stolen, and nope, police department confirmed my car was repoed. Why?! I'm beyond frustrated and after panic called Kia and the my are closed for the evening. What a nightmare. I will not be getting another Kia. This is bogus. 2 weeks over my lease and my car was taken from me. And I'm very confused, why didn't the rep tell me these details when I called in the first place?!?!?
I purchased at car from kia with kia finance. Had it for over two years i have never be able to work out anything with them
Imaginary late fees you name it. Calling them with just make your blood pressure to thur the roof. It got so bad that i sold the car requested a pay off amount. And now two months after the sell. They say I owe more money. No phone calls nothing. I call them and just get the run around with no results. Unable to talk to anyone that work with it to be resolved
I was leasing a Kia Sorento for three years. My lease was going to end in April 2022. In the middle of January 2022 I decided to buy the car. Unfortunately kia financial took a another monthly payment on January 27,2022. When I contacted them, they acknowledged their mistake and will issue me a refund, "which I should receive in two weeks." I still have not been reimbursed. I have been patiently waiting and calling. I called on March 10 and asked to reissue the check. They
Said they would speed up the process since I have been waiting so long. I called today March 22 and the check is still in the processing stage. "We have 8-10 days to process the check" Well I believe from January 27 to March 22 is a lot more than 8-10 working days. Do you think 54 days is too long to wait? I certainly do, I am frustrated and have lost my patience!
Was told i would have all payments for car taken out of my auto pay and then found out my property tax was not eligible after confirming with representative that it would be. Dropped from over 800 credit rating down to 745. From everything I have read from different sites these people are lost. Disgraceful and not willing to change after I immediately paid when contacted. Terrible customer service.
Sorry. Just venting at this point. I turned in my lease earlier than expected, so an automatic payment went through. I called them to see if I could have a refund, and they said they would issue it. Great. No problem, except I've been waiting for over 4 months trying to get this check. I called them over 6 times trying to get this check, and they would just tell me that it's 'pending,' and they would send an email to invoice team and to wait 10 business days every time. They would never expect me to be this late on a payment, so this is just frustrating.
In June 2021, I bought out my lease on a 2018 Kia Soul EV (electric).
KMF improperly collected more than $860 tax (in NJ which has prohibited tax on electric vehicles since 2005). I only discovered this when re-titling my car as they didn't handle that correctly either though they were paid to. Despite weekly calls, dozens of hours of my time, jumping hoops to submit written claims, and tax exempt forms (repeatedly I might add as they couldn't locate them) I am still without any resolution.
December 10,2021 KMF indicated a refund was approved but as of my last call yesterday (March 10,2022) the check is MIA again, somehow, and there is zero accountability or indication they ever intend to address this error.
Sadly, my dealer Fette Kia in Clifton, NJ also is no help.
Run, do not walk away from doing business with KMF.
Sad thing? I actually like the car, but this company is terrible. Not remotely customer centered or accountable.
See you in small claims!
I had been with kia over 10 years. Brought 3 cars from them. They great as taking money but when it come to refund money, they never get it done. They will tell me to wait and it been months I never received my check. Never ever I will do business with kia again.
Reading all these awful reviews really validates my experience. I owned 2 Kias. The cars were fine, but Kia finance is TERRIBLE. They asked me to bring my leased car in early, and I did just that, and leased a new Kia. I had one payment left to make on the previous lease, and that was supposed to be taken care of. (This would make sense, since THEY asked ME to bring my car in early.) Months later I received a late notice for it a payment (on the previous lease) from Kia and threats that they were reporting me to collections. I made many phone calls, each time talking to a different person, who seemed to have no record of my issue. Finally, Kia sent me a letter that said my account was "paid at full" and I did not owe anymore money at that time. Paid in full! I have that letter! So, I thought I was all set, but then I found out a few months later that they had still been reporting me as having a late payment--now up to 90 days delinquent. I've always had excellent credit, and I only found out they were doing this when I went to get a student loan for my daughter's freshman year in college. I was mortified. I tried to call Kia about it, but got nowhere. Finally I made the missing payment just to be done with it, even though I knew I didn't owe it. Then, I asked them to remove the negative credit reporting, as it was making it hard for me to get my daughter's student loan. They said the only way I could do that was to--get this--write a letter to the Disputes Department. I could not call them, or contact them electronically. I actually had to write a freakin letter (and it wouldn't have surprised me if they said I had to have it delivered by the Pony Express.) So I wrote a letter. Then I waited a MONTH. I finally received a cursory letter back that denied Kia did anything wrong--but no more details. Apparently, I cannot talk to anyone, and I don't know why they don't think they did anything wrong. It's infuriating. It damaged my credit, and therefore my life. I wish there was a court case going forward on this because I would gladly join it. This company is HORRENDOUS!
Literally the worst finance company I've ever dealt with. Would give 0 starts if I could. From customer service to financing, terrible. No one knows anything, they lose payments, your told a million different things, account notes and phone calls lost, not helpful in any way, received two statements in a year and a half and both were incorrect, put other people's car and card info on my account, lie, etc. DO NOT USE THEM
Can't wait to get rid of this car and never use Kia again. Had my account on auto pay which worked fine every month until one month it randomly didn't hit my account. I waited two days and decided to make a manual payment assuming auto pay had somehow been deactivated. Then of course, the next day, auto pay hits and I'm charged double for the month. I call Kia and a supervisor suggested I call my bank and do a stop payment. I did that and my bank said they would have to do a stop payment on both. So I did that and then logged back on to try and make another manual payment. My account was locked and the only way to make a payment was to call in and pay a fee for a person to take my payment over the phone. I refused to do that and sent in a check. They claim to have never gotten the check. I called relentlessly to talk to a supervisor who might be able to help me resolve this issue so I could put my account back on auto pay. 3 months go by and no supervisor was ever available or ever called me and the brain dead droids they have taking payments couldn't seem to comprehend my issue and certainly could not help me. I've had numerous people talk to me in a condescending way, hang up on me, get a straight up attitude with me. My credit is affected, I have all these fees, and this all started with their $#*!ty system and advice. I have spent months trying to resolve. I hate them so much. Just a club of clowns.
I have been asking them for about three months for my account payment history, it is for Gap Insurance but these guys always tell me yes, and they never send me the payment history and the gap insurance cannot pay the balance of my account and I call every day and I ask and they tell don't worry, it's ready, later the gap insurance says here or is there nothing, it's really chaos, these guys and they never know anything, nobody knows anything
If you need financial hardship assistance and have a lease from KIA, good luck. I've paid my lease early every month since establishing it and this month, I'm starting a new position. I called KIA to ask for a simple deferment for 1 month and even offered to schedule 2 payments in February 2022 in return. KIA told me they don't offer any assistance and wished me luck with my hardship. They're a disgusting group of individuals who literally refuse to help people with hardship. Avoid them at all costs.
I moved from Ct to SC back on September 3 and have now been trying for over three months to obtain a copy of the Title and a limited power of Attorney so I can register the 2019 Kia Sportage. I have called over a dozen time and emailed over 6 times. I have been told I needed their permission to move, lied to that they mailed the 2 documents directly to SCDMV and had a so-called supervisor lie to me saying they mailed the documents to my home that was over 10 days ago and still no TITLE or POA. It is beyond belief that this company can be allowed to operate with this degree of stupidity and I can't believe that the different State DMV; s allow this to happen. I will now have to pay a penality because the vehicle was not registered within 60 days of moving to SC. I will file a complaint with the two DMV's(Ct & SC) for all the good it will do. I have bought over 5 new Kia"s but will NEVER EVER buy another one after this experience!
I payed my vehicle off in June, and it's now December and I STILL haven't received my title. After calling more than 3 times, they claim it's in the way. Incredibly ridiculous. The car is falling apart and I can't trade it in because I still don't have the title. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, KIA.
Kia Finance gave an insurance company my vin number by mistake. Now Kia sends letters claiming my vehicle has been totaled and they want the payoff. I have contacted them 4 times and explained their mistake and they will not correct it. Offered to send picture of car and explained wrecked vehicle was in Pennsylvania and was an SUV not a Soul which is mine. Representatives are very rude and refuse to correct Kia's mistake. Horrible experience.
It has been close to 4 months now and KMF has "lost" my monthly payments to the point of 2 repossession notices and a negative impact on my credit. I've sent them proof that my bank account has been debited accordingly each time, spoke to several people, and yet there's been no movement.
As many else here, we've been getting consistently brushed aside by promises of "corrections" and callbacks from supervisors that never come. Their Tier 1 Support has been dismissive and insultingly accusatory. "Unprofessional" is an understatement.
If you visited this site with the intent of doing research before purchase, heed all the reviews here. KMF's way of doing business will leave a long term negative impact on you and your credit report.
Answer: Legit but act like a scam. Terrible customer service.
Answer: Same here. Time to band together to seek justice. KIA makes very good vehicles. Their finance division is atrocious. Going back to Mazda, or Toyota. KIA don't want to be ya! After 10 years and 3 vehicles you have lost my business!
