I think Khan Academy should be banned from school and we should only use it if we want to. I have been forced to use Khan Academy for school and it is the worst math tool I have ever used. I would never in a million years recommend this to anyone. I have not learned one thing from this website. If you are reading this to see if you should use Khan please don't you will regret it the moment you start.
My dad made me do Khan Academy because i was 4 parallel universes ahead of everybody and i wasn't doing enough work for online school.
I signed up for GRADE SIX math and the first question they ask me is duh, what's 5+3.
Another thing is you cannot restart quizzes. I accidentally pressed the wrong button and checked because that's what i always do and i had to do the rest of the quiz! Without all these fixes i cannot say Khan Academy is a good learning website for any reason at all.
Khan Academy is a great place for learning. It even has coding so you can code games to play at school secretly and hopefully not get in trouble when found because it is Khan Academy. Whilst having games and beinga great place to learn it has one downside which is that (for me) the math grading system is horsesh*t. Bruh, If you get one question wrong the the unit test you have to do the whole thing again. But the unit test is like 17-20 questions. So everytime I get 1 or more problem wrong I always break my keyboard and my PC. I really like the learning system though, but not the grading.
I tried it and it is so $#*!ing dumb, half the time the answer is the same but the dots are on another part but the line is the same, or the answer is the $#*!ing answer but nope don't $#*!ing care, and sometimes like 5x3 he get 500, this is the worst and for teachers/parents, don't use this $#*!ty service.
Khan academy is mad boring. Their articles make me wanna sleep and die. Just shut down please. This is child abuse and I don't feel like reading. I need a break from you ok? Its you not me.
Wtf is this $#*! wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtfvwtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf
The thing is $#*!, you can't learn a thing, It $#*!ING $#*!, get 1 thing wrong, you have to redo whole $#*!ING PRACTICE/TEST/PRETEST a good score. The thing should be banned and the videos don't teach you anything, they just explain. The pratices give you a headache, The thing is $#*!ing stupid, Do NOT USE THIS $#*!ING website, IT WILL TURN YOU INSANE AND KILL YOU. IT WILL SEND YOU TO HELLLLLLLLL! I HAVE it a 1 star/rating though it should get a -1 star/rating(also spread the word that Khan acdemy is BULL $#*!ING $#*! $#*! $#*! $#*!ING STUPID!)
Maybe it works for people who are trying to learn PART of a topic, but for people who are working seriously, this website SHOULD BE AVOIDED.
I missed a unit of trigonometry and my teacher told me Khan academy should help me get caught up. He was planning to help with me with parts of it, but expects me to learn the majority of it on Khan.
I got on. Looked through the trigonometry lessons. Looked through the precalc lessons. Searched the videos. Scrolled through dozens of options.
THERE WAS NOTHING.
According to my textbook AND teacher, this was the most important unit in trigonometry, and Khan had NOTHING on it.
The website is awful. Stay away.
Super unclear just had to get lucky`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Khan Academy is ok but the directions arent really explaining that much to me and I keep getting the answers wrong because of the bad directions. Sal khan Needs to fix this site and subjects
It says answers CHECKED BY GOOGLE are wrong, it's boring as heck, and the fact that it takes 10k "energy points" to unlock a new style for a pet is absurd!
Excellent online educational source. This site has over 2 400 videos covering topics from arithmetic to physics, finance and history. It is beneficial to people of all ages. It could be used for high-school students or even adults that want to improve their skills, or for those oldies that want to refresh their memory. This site is highly recommended.
I am a 47 year old who decided to finally get my high school diploma after 30 years. I unintentionally ran across Khan Academy in an attempt to 'brush-up' on math.
I noticed that Sal Khan has this 'relaxed' way of speaking while explaining how to do math that causes you to also relax as you learn. That made learning very easy. It kept my interest and actually made it sort of fun.
After 30 years having no dealings with academic studies whatsoever, I studied with Khan Academy for a few months and received an overall 82% on my TASC Test (which I discovered has been a replacement for the traditional G. E. D. Of my generation). For math specifically, I received a 78%.
They have a fantastic thing going on there and I would recommend it to any and everyone! Highly effective.
The people running Khan Academy all deserve medals. The website is easy to use, the team is quick to respond to questions, and the content of the lessons are excellent. A great supplementary tool for kids in High School, or a way to stay learning as an adult. There are classes for everyone, and the ease of use makes it super accessible.
It is very good It explains everything that I need to know has videos, much better than IXL just one Problem. When you get a Question wrong then the whole exercise can't level up
Khan Academy has been a great place for me to practice some extra coding before going to an interview. The theoretical courses are also good because you also need some extra knowledge that the coding courses do not provide. Other topics are also presented in a nice and understandable manner.
Based on our experience, Khan Academy works well together with Beestar. My son started with Beestar's math program two years ago. He receives weekly math exercise for free. The questions are very attractive. Many of them come from real life to help students better understand math concepts. When sometimes he got confused about a concept, he would watch the video lesson on Khan Academy for in depth explanation.
Beestar is a user-friendly site. As a parent, I can monitor his progress online any time I want. As I have seen, his math performance is getting much better in the past two years. Now he's the top student at school. He likes to meet other competitive students from nationwide on Beestar. They even started an online math discusstion group. I feel happy for him and hope to see more miracles on him.
I had been doing khan academy for a while when it restarted all my progress. I summited a problem to customer survive but it has been a week now and I have heard nothing from them. It is very frustrating.
Besides that khan academy it a good teaching app.
Excellent free place to learn. I especially like the detailed videos; they look professional. I would like it if they had a Q&A or email function that let me talk to the instructors on the videos in real time.
I like the HTML and CSS tutorials available on this site. I am an aspiring librarian, so learning computer programming is important to the future of my profession. Surprisingly, it wasn't geared to much towards young children so much that adults would feel strange or get bored learning it. A pleasant surprise. Recommended.
Answer: There is an old adage in education, that 'Spaced' learning is more effective than 'Clumped' learning. Waiting for the next Mastery challenge teaches patience, allows you to practice more skills in the dashboard, so the mastery challenges have more to do assessment on, and as you note, ensure that the concepts are transferring from short-term, to long term memory in your brain.
Khan Academy has a rating of 2.3 stars from 89 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Khan Academy ranks 91st among Math sites.
