Overall, a competent mobile game developer, but their focus seems to be heavily on monetization. I've been engaged with a Marvel Contest of Champions game for a long time. Initially, I purchased some in-game items, but eventually, I ceased these transactions as they became overly pricey and offered minimal advantages. Additionally, it feels unjust when the game's results are more influenced by financial investment than actual player skill.

I am a loyal player which spent over $100 in just a week of playing Shop Titans. The most recent in-app purchase I bought did not show up in my account. Thinking it was some payment delay, I waited. After a few days, still no item so I requested for a refund from iTunes. Later, my account was banned from important features and my gems (premium currency) was at a negative amount. I reached out to player support and they told me I need to pay 2x the amount to have my account unbanned & gems restored to the original amount. On top of that, they blame the player for fraud when we didn't receive our product.

Kabam promotes unit frauds in top alliance. They sell illegal gambling crystals for heroes then nerf them the next month all the time. Kabam deletes and ban all posts on their forum that shed light on their fraudulent nature. On top of everything the game is unplayable and is the worst game you can download. A game is suppose to be fun but kabam has made it all about frustration, cheating on their part, and illegal fraudulent gambling.

I have play over the 7 years, I have not share my login information with anyone. Yesterday night I was play game and slept when I wakeup and try to login it's display account permanently ban how it is possible.
I raised the complaint against ban it's not taking any action simply reply it's ban because of account sharing but someone tell how it is possible.
It's fault in game. I have purchase many item in store but unfortunately. I would say kabam doing very bad thing.
If mistakly permanent ban then they should option to unbanned. Because it's not our fault it's all kabam fault

Great game however it is made to spend money and if you have any issues don't plan on Kabam trying to help with refunds or anything game related. The only thing this company cares about to money

The game is great! Only until I needed customer support, did I have an experience so bad that I don't enjoy the game nearly as much anymore. Not helping or being able to help is one thing. I explained I noticed a missing item over a month ago & said I could've accidentally sold it anytime within the last year. They went back 30 days. When I told them I noticed it was missing more than 30 days ago, they told me 100% completion of the act didn't reward the prizes I claimed. When I showed them a screenshot proving that 100% completion does reward those prizes, they responded with I'm closing the ticket on you support request. Now everytime I contact support, they respond with the matter is closed. That's not support. I lost a remote for my tv & lg sent me a new one no charge. I called Comcast to drop home phone, they gave me free movie channels. I contact Kabam to retrieve an item I won & accidentally sold on a cell phone game & even offered to pay for it, & they treated me like I was a liar & did nothing to resolve the issue. They took it a step further & tried to ignore me like a child covering their ears & making noise. Hands down the worst customer support I've ever experienced.

Kabam is deceptive with crystals. Inept at creating content to help summoners. Refuses to update old content. Rolls one pyramid scheme after another such as "titles" and champion star ratings. You'll never keep up. Money pit or endless grind, neither is fun!

Tip for consumers:
If you pay money, it’s a trap. Never ending loop of cyclical activity. Encourages money over fighting skills. Fighting skills are hampered by bugs and failed inputs.

Kabam gas fallen to the worse it has ever been. The now run a massive ripoff called caps commissary and the game is now focused on how much money they can scam. When it started you could profess with minimal purchases, not anymore. The game malfunctioned constantly and the programmer are weak at best. Save your time and money

Their customer service team doesn't care about their customers. They just say "sorry" and won't do anything to support you with bugs, errors or anything. If you buy something and a bug happens due to that, they will just take your money and run with it.

I played their game for 15+ months and their customer service is in a steady decline. They are cash greedy and do not find any way to compensate their loyal members.

Why not say sorry with a few gems or gold?

Even when you cancel your paid subscription after having a bad customer service experience they will not try to buy you back. They just care about their future paying customers and not their current ones.

Did you know it's more expensive to go find new customers than retaining them? Kabam clearly doesn't.

Is there anything that can be done legally about this. It isn't even about the 50 bucks I spent but about the shady practices they have. Please reply to this I'd like to get a lawyer and form a group of people to start a law suit against them

Avoid any title produced by Kabam.

Marvel contest of champions in particular is supposed to be fun. It is based on childhood comics.

But the game centres around gambling on crystals, to get the champions you want.

They deliberately make shards scarce for the higher level characters and make level up fragments equally scarce.

The only way to get them is to with beat top level content with over the top boosted AI opponents that block all the time and take chunks out of your champs when you attempt to block break.

This content is impossible (even with maxed out 5 star champs) without spamming health potions and revives. Both of which, the game doesn't freely give out. They very rarely drop as loot. The health potions barely heal your characters. You can use your entire inventory and only heal 10 percent of your characters health.

The only other way to get shards and rank up materials is to spend real money on booster packs, which the game pushes out daily. These booster packs expire in 24 hours to create a false sense of urgency for people to part with real money.

The alliances in the game largely go unchecked. Racism and other forms of abusive behaviour is rife within the toxic alliances.

These alliances will immediately demand prospective members to download a third party app called Line, so they can communicate off game.

This allows the officers and leaders to abuse members without Kabam having access to the messages. Something Kabam does nothing about as they don't care about bullying happening in their game. They prefer not to have visibility so they don't have to take action.

I have been racially abused by one alliance in particular recently. The alliance also kicked me (despite having the highest score in the daily alliance quest) because I was at work and couldn't do what they wanted when they wanted it.

I was told that I would be monitored by alliance officers and leadership of any Alliance I join would be notified that I am "unflexible" and "refuse to participate in alliance events". Both lies of course and they knew this.

This is an example of the kind of behaviour that is common in alliances. The game is more important than your life, family or job and if you disagree with this, you will be bullied and/or kicked. Often before alliance quest or alliance war rewards come in, which you are not eligible for if you've been kicked or new to an alliance.

I asked Kabam for a name change so I could move on from the alliance peacefully yet kabam refused. Citing that I could pay for a rename token in game.

Despite me telling them that I had zero units and no way of earning units without an alliance.

Kabam expect bully victims to pay with real money in these extreme circumstances.

Kabam fully side with bullies as long as they profit at the end of it.

Their customer support agents are aggressive and unhelpful. They refuse to get a supervisor when escalation is requested. ("I've spoken to a senior agent and they said that they won't do anything" being one response I got when I requested escalation). Refusing escalation is against consumer law.

They are only interested in palming off and fobbing off their customers. Not helping.

The company quickly patch the game when in game glitches negatively affect them and benefit the player base. Then they close the game down to fact find and penalise players who benefited.

Yet when issues negatively affect the player base and benefit kabam, these issues remain in the game for years and go ignored.

Then you have the toxic cesspool known as the Marvel Contest of Champions forums.

Any negative feedback (no matter how constructively laid out) is met with venom from the "community" and if an admin sees it, your post will either be closed so it cannot be commented on anymore or it will be deleted and the author banned from posting again.

Companies like Kabam should be given the cold shoulder by consumers and allowed to collapse into administration.

They deserve it and their staff deserve unemployment and black listing from ever working in the industry again.

Toxic is the best word to describe them.

Please do not buy the Kingdom of Camelot game. My husband started off playing this game on his phone as a trial. Then he upgraded to pay for the game. Now my husband is addicted to this game. The game requires you to check on it all day! He plays non-stop and it has completely taken over his life. It cost $19.99 every time he does stuff with the game. I'm not sure what the fees are for but I checked and he has spent almost $140 in the month of September alone. Don't get scammed into these type of games that will hook you and not tell you everything up front. These are the type of games that can destroy lives. The biggest problem with phone games vs the traditional video games. Is you can't take your PS3 or Xbox everywhere you go. But your phone is always with you. So if you don't have good self control it will end up ruling your life!

**Update December 21,2015** Husband is still addicted to this game. I love him but it's an all day everyday thing. Please stay away! He now cut back on buying things in game but still spends too much time on the game. He doesn't think he is addicted! It's so hard to get people to stop playing this game once they are hooked. It can ruin marriages etc.

Kingdoms of Camelot is marketed as a social strategy game. It has slowly evolved into an online casino.
Every in-game item worth having is marketed on a chance-to-win basis. Only basic items can actually be purchased, all premium items are marketed on a chance to win.
Important troop enhancing combat items are only upgradable in-game on a chance basis. It has turned into a lottery with no absolutes, appalling rates, and even worse lacking any transparency. Kabam refuse to announce odds of winning any item sold on chance.
New material is pushed into the game without any reasonable testing. In fact, the latest release went global while issues were still being identified in Kabam's test domains. The reason for the release to be pushed before any bug fixing was obvious 15 minutes later - the first "chance-to-win" box promotion was advertised.
Since release a vast amount of bugs have been identified, and as yet not rectified. In the week since release we have however had a dozen "chance-to-win" promotions based exclusively on the rushed and error filled new content.
Also very poor treatment of customers - Kabam created test domains without informing customers unlucky enough to play on these servers, and without consent or compensation for the myriad of glitches inherent with first releases. On top of this, Customer Support at Kabam is almost non-existant.
You are very lucky to receive anything more than an automated no-reply email informing you your submission has been closed. It is common to receive a response completely irrelevant to your issue. It is extremely rare to receive a satisfying resolution.
Kabam have also effectively removed themselves from their forums. Instead they have chosen to exploit customer volunteers as moderators and intermediaries, allowing Kabam to avoid any communication with their customer base when things go wrong.
All in all, a company that has lost the spirit behind game creation in their lust for profit.

ALL PARENTS - DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN PLAY ANY GAME FROM KABAM.COM - DO NOT BUY PLATINUM YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF

The game developers of Edgeworld simply take our money and do NOT give what was advertised when we purchased the in game item, EG in game item costs 25plat which works out to be $35 REAL WORLD MONEY for ONE game item.

Kabam.com as a whole should be investigated for FRAUD, THEFT and ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES.

The forums located at: http://community.kabam.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?127-Edgeworld are a complete joke, you say something that the moderator does not like they remove the post, the thread in its entirety so no one else can see or reply to vent their anger at being ripped off.

Avoid kabam.com at all costs and use them at your own peril.

I would have rated kabam.com beyond the one star above but am not allowed unfortunately.

I started playing this game in January and at first thought it was okay. Customer support is virtually non-existent... I have put in 6 tickets and no response at all. The game has alot of glitches, players can uses cheat like Xhack4u and clone troops. The game is supposed to be free but free players have very little chance of competeing with the diamond buyers or the cloners. Kabam's newest experiment is to stop the gaining of respect by attacking city scapes and gangs. Now the only way to gain respect is to hit other players and hope they do not have their troops hidden... or they are not among the cheaters. All in all, if you haven't palyed the game, Do Not Start and definitely DO NOT PAY FOR THE GAME.
