Their customer service is appalling they promised me a refund on a lousy meal i had and then never paid out despite me complaining several times they hadnt made the refund do yourself a favour dont use them!

Since writing my first review about Just Eat, they have become even worse. First, they now block connections from my VPN. Okay, so they're telling me they don't need my business? Anyone with common sense uses a VPN these days. Blocking access when using a VPN is enough for me to delete my account, which I just finished doing. Second, it's 10pm on a Saturday night and 90% of the restaurants have stopped taking orders. 10 pm on a SATURDAY! What is the point? I can't say anything bad about the drivers, because none of this is their fault. They've always delivered on time and they work hard. Avoid this place. I have friends who paid for orders that never arrived, and Just Eat refused to give a refund. Unfortunately, I can't recommend an alternative. Deliveroo is just as bad. Go and collect your food in person... problem solved.

I've ordered food using Just Eat several times. There hasn't been any real issues with the service itself, but the lack of any real customer service department makes me go elsewhere. I'm all about customer service. If you want my business, then you better have someone on hand if I have a problem or a question. This chat online rubbish doesn't suffice.
I've been reading about how people get shoddy orders or they order a gift card and never receive it, then Just Eat refuses to refund their money. The solution is simple. Use PayPal to pay. If something isn't right, open a case with PayPal and you'll get your money back. Just be sure to document everything. Example, take a pic of the bad food or mishandled delivery. Send screenshots of replies from the company. Upload all of this to PayPal if you have to open a case and you'll get your refund. Works 99% of the time.
UPDATE: I have a friend that works fro Domino's pizza. Just Eat offers Domino's Pizza in some areas, but here's the catch... They charge you 20% more in most cases for the same pizza you can order directly from Domino's directly. Just Eat doesn't do anything but stand as a go-between from you and Domino's. Just Eat takes your money, then Domino's takes the order and delivers the food to you. So why use Just Eat? Cut them out and you save their 20% mark up AND the additional delivery charge they add, when they aren't even delivering the food! Imagine, you are paying £1.50 each for Domino's chocolate chip cookies... Is there a biscuit anywhere worth £1.50 each?

Shame on you

Never even arrived through Just Eat delivery and was sent back to the restaurant. When we rang to try and work out the issue, KFC were incredibly unhelpful and said it was our responsibility to sort out with Just Eat?! Never got the food and Just Eat Customer service said we have to wait 48 hours to find out whether we even get a refund. Shame on you. Utterly appalling.

Take your money from your card, then say dont deliver to the area, this happended twice in one night and i had two payments of £14.50 taken out my account, they rang me when i went on live ch\t and gave me a voucher code for the amount but that didnt work so they took another £14.50 out my bank, this is a scam and i would tell anyone to stay away

Given a delivery time of 30-50 mins it arrived after 1hr 20 mins because there were no drivers to collect my food, it was sat under a heat lamp and arrived congealed and dry. Refused a refund, I would order direct from a restaurant next time

Food is always cold and missing getting sick of it! I have to order my grocerys in as I'm disabled and now been on hold for hours to be cut off multiple times as I'm missing an item in my order and they are refusing to refund it! £3? Accusing me of lying when the shop has admitted they didn't include it, they said "tough" on the phone and hung up! It's disgusting. Apparently I've made too many claims for missing food! How is that the customers fault! You should be checking it! Now I'm getting transcripts and having to go legal on them it's a joke. Avoid using if you want a peaceful life and ITEMS YOU ORDER AND PAY FOR! COMPLETELY ILLEGAL. I'm seeking legal advice and will hold others will join me in reporting them as completely fraudulent. They admitted to not acting within the law and they refuse to give us an contact information or head office information to give to trading standards or the ombudsman, which I believe is blantant avoidance of legal responsibility and non compliance to consumer standards for a company. My husbands even a delivery driver, I don't think he will be anymore because he doesn't ethically agree with what they are doing to customers when he knows allot of the times the order is wrong!

If I could leave a zero score I would do. But unfortunately there is no Zero. I have been with JustEat for 4 years and never had a problem until now. My last order was delivered to the wrong address. When I spoke to Justeat they couldn't care less. They just said that I should have checked the order summery, even though I have been with them for them for 4 years and my address is still the same. They wouldn't offer me a refund or the food. So I just basically threw 30.00 down the drain. And they got 30.00 for nothing. Beware when using Justeat as the customer services are disgusting. I have now closed my account with them. And will pick it up myself in future. I will be leaving feedback all over the internet wherever I can.

The customer 48 hours automatic refund system is totally stupid! Hundred and Thousands restaurant will lot money because of your policy. You are not just eat. You are just chief. It's no fair to all restaurant owners, if we did see the email in 48 hours we will loss money our labour, cost and time are nothing! And you just eat! You loss nothing! You loss nothing and your policy help silly customer use you! It is not fair!

Terrible service

I had ordered my meal which it had been delivered wrongly, when I phoned up the restaurant they told me you will have to submit a refund request to just eat. Which I did they then denied my refund request entirely. So in total I had to pay twice to receive my meal. I tried to dispute their decision they overturn my dispute. Do not use Just Eat as you will be paying twice or not receiving your food if someone makes a mistake. AWFUL! Use Deliveroo!

Awful service!
Ordered delivery which turned up completely wrong and inedible! Resturant accepted responsibility for the mistakes made but after putting in a request for a refund, and waiting almost a week for a reply, I was told that I wasn't entitled to a refund! £28 gone! I WILL NEVER USE JUST EAT AGAIN! Robbers in disguise! No wonder they can afford ads with big celebs! They unfairly keep your money!

Ordered a pizza from them, stated it must be hot as Girlfriend wont eat luke warm pizza, we were planning a romantice evening in watching a dvd etc.
The pizza arrived over 40 mins late, and cold.
Just eat say its not their fault its the restaurants fault, restaurant refer you to just eat, and so it goes round in circles.
Evening ruined and £15 down the pan.
Just eat just pass the buck as they know you can do nothing.
There is no customer protection as they act as a referer to the restaurant, will never use them again.

Crap Customer Service

My food order was delivered late and not just by 5 minutes but over half hour and food was completely cold and uneatable.
I called customer service but they don't have customer service calls but only via online so I emailed them few times, the agent came back saying they can only refund £7.08 not the full amount of £14.65, therefore I emailed again and again and just eat wrote:
While I'm not able to disclose our internal policies, I can confirm that your credit is in line with our cold food policy, and it's not possible to offer you any further compensation.

So just eat just ignored the late arrival of the food completely or they don't understand the English language? If the food wasn't delivered late than the food wouldn't be cold common sense I thought right.

Biggest rip off merchants. They do not refund you. I contacted them about the food I received I even sent them a pic and still refused to give me a refund. The company needs to be investigated they shouldn't be allowed to rip people off. They said their restaurants cook in different ways! Absoloute joke!

I seem to be having the same experience as previous reviewers. I paid for an order more than an hour ago and it has just been left. The restaurant have not assigned a driver and they have not delivered. When I go back to the "Just Eat" website they have marked themselves as closed. Just Eat will not answer the phone and my money is now gone.

I will now close my account and stick to Deliveroo. It's disgusting that they are taking money and not ensuring that the food is delivered. DISGUSTING.

I have used the app for a year and all ok until the day I didn't receive my order. I contacted them and they basically accused me of lying even though I have used them for ages. I never did get a refund for the food I never had and they couldn't have cared less.

Are you as sick as I am of food that is cold late or missing or just never turns up and then just eats non existient customer service refuse refunds? Today again a no show and they have refused a refund as they claim the 'journey' was completed. I have CCTV and these muppets didn't deliver. When is Just eat going to just die? I only ordered because I was busy and against my better judgement... if you're greggs surely the damage they cause to your brand is not worth the hassle?

Just eat while I am on I reported to you that your drivers collect multiple orders from Mc Donalds and hence why they are always cold. They are still doing it, I saw someone collect 4 the other day 2 from uber and 2 from JE.

Placed an offer through this app for subway, am a single mum and don't have much money, but as things are going with this covid I thought I would treat my kids, the other came wrong and very cold, and it was for only three, the order was over £27,,, was very upset for my kids as they where very much looking forward to it,, try phoning the shop they where nice but told me to go in app and get a refund,,,, wish was very hard to understand our ger the right answers, to be told we had to take pictures of the food, they would send us an email and talk it for there,,, still have not received an email and kids with no food, I normally don't complain about anything, but it was a treat for my kids, and the subway shop itself knows the order was wrong and where very nice,, just eat,, is the problem

I ordered food from Curry Corner, Hammersmith, paid by card and told it'll be delievered. Then got a call and was told the resturant was too busy to make my order but the money will be out back right away. It never was. I spoke to someone online who said wait 5 working days, I did, nothing. I spoke to another person on the phone who said wait 7 working days, I did, nothing. The last person said they don't do refunds and I would have to wait 30 WORKING DAYS! Crap site, I'll never use it again.

No orders no refund

So me and the wife decided to place a order on justeat and also treated ourselves to a bottle of red wine, after a period of time no delivery so look on app and see the order has been delivered, look outside my door nothing left I call the restaurant they tell me the order was sent,.I contact justeat they say wait 10 minutes, I wait 15 minutes still no delivery so I Email there customer support line explain what has happen, 2 hours later I get a reply sorry but your not entitled to a refund, I reply buy I haven't received my goods again they reply its there policy, so justeat have a policy to take money and not guarantee you what you pay for, I don't want to say its a criminal act but what is it.
