This is the second time I have used Jobscan and the Premium upgrade which allows me to use the Power Edit function. After using Power Edit and raising my score above 80%, I literally received a call the next day from a recruiter. A couple of days later I received a call from a different company. Both of these jobs were listed on Indeed.com and had 100+ applicants. I received an offer from both companies. I can honestly say I would not be in this position without Jobscan and especially the Premium upgrade. I highly recommend them!
I've only just begun to use jobscan and I haven't landed a job yet. Not sure why I've been given this survey now. The program, in theory, is incredible. After watching a youtube tutorial, I found the program easy to use. The idea of a program that makes you rise above the noise is amazing in these times. We'll see if it helps.
Useful insights, advises and resume feedback. It helped me to get a job! Very easy to use and very clear outcomes - highly recommended for anyone who is job hunting. I regret I didn't know about this great tool earlier.
I am very glad that I used the Jobscan! It helped me a lot to adjust my resume for each position, to apply right words, to fix resume formatting. It gave me so much confidence! This tool analyze the job description and finds the scope of skills that are required for the job, and not only skills but the right wordings to describe your competency. I found my dream job and would recommend this tool for everybody who is looking for a job.
The product is a little bit buggy - When you report certain skills they don't drop off your scan. Not every thing it lists as missing is relevant. You have to go through it one by one and compare it to the job description to be able to make a decision:
1. Report the skill
2. Update your resume
3. Ignore
I will not renew but it is good to get you started.
Preparing to enter the job market I was dismayed to find that companies actually use LinkedIn (I have one but never use it). Jobscan takes out the leg work of making my profile match the types of jobs I'm interested in. Saves me the mental work and is well worth the price
Thank you for the great feedback, Jan!
This product is amazing and the price is really worth it. This tool helps get your resume ready for the ATS scans and has so many other features. One feature I wish it had was when you obtain another interview it didn't overwrite the initial interview details. Otherwise I have recommend this product to many fellow friends who are looking and others who have never heard of the product. Game changer!
I bought the JobScan Premium. The Power Edit is the feature that is differentiator from your competition. But you need to reduce your subscription cost. It is too much for someone who has lost their job!.
Contact me for further discussion, please.
A little bit bait and switch. Just went through the LinkedIn optimization option. Took several steps and took a bit of time to only be given advice on my headline and then have the rest of the information blurred out. Could have given me a little more than that to entice me to purchase. Also, when I clicked to upgrade, I was only presented with monthly options for linkedin optimization. Does that mean if I also wanted premium resume features that would require me to purchase an entirely separate subscription? This is unclear and thus discourages me from making a purchase.
This tool is amazing! Should I know it works like this, I would pay 10x more for it! When I start using it, most of my CV vs offer rating were about 25-30%. The tool helped me to achieve a 80+% average and land a dream job just within 2 months! (BTW - for the job I landed, I scored 96% on the tool! :) )
Amazing! That's great to know, Jakub!
We wish you all the best :)
This website is amazing. It helped me understand my resume and what recruiters look for. I have already recommended this to all my friends. It's a must have for anyone looking for a job. Worth the money!
Thanks for your wonderful feedback!
I've used jobscan for the very first time to check and optimize my resume and found it incredible.
It not only tells the compatibility of your documents with the job description but also highlights the errors and gives suitable solutions to resolve them.
Such an amazing thing for your quality manuscript.
They changed the UI and the algorithm to see the scores recently. In the new algorithm, it only shows important and high scored words. Some of the words do not even exist nor match the job anymore. New UI makes it impossible to see those words unless you zoom out and scroll through each word. It is impossible to use it. Customer service is crap too. I sent them details with screenshot and they asked me to provide video saying they cannot repopulate the issue, why not pay me to do their job too.
Looking for alternatives now.
I tried jobscan for a number of job postings where the company hiring didn't use larger ATS systems and was consistently given a list of things that weren't keywords (for example, if the ad said something like the job requires the ability to sit, stand, and occasional lifting of 25 lbs, "lifting" came back as a keyword on more than one occasion). It also doesn't recognize plurals or different verb tenses as the same "keyword" when it should. I tried to make this work but left disappointed. I'd do better on my own generating my own list of "keywords" from a listing and editing my resume accordingly. If you work in tech, it might be useful. For the rest of us, it's a waste.
I've only used the unpaid service but the system is so skewed to key words that your resume would hardly make sense. As an experiment, I copy and pasted a job description into a new resume almost word for word - I only scrubbed out the beginning of some sentences like "you should be able to." It scored an 85. That may be the problem of ATS vs. what they are doing here but it seems myopic in its system of how it reviews resumes. Also, it was removing points because of "non-standard size." I have a 8x11 with 1" margins. I think part of that is skewing scores to push you into purchasing the monthly subscription.
So far, a good flow. You've made the case for how the site will help. However, my advice (one product marketer to another) might be to consider demonstrating the numeric $ value of the service.
For instance, if using Jobscan gets me a job one month later, that's an entire monthly pay packet more in my pocket, which is likely to be 100x the cost using the service.
Also, interesting pricing. I was previously offered a month free then $90 for 3 months. On my second visit you offered the 3 months at a 20% discount. AB test or did you cookie me and offer a different price based on it being my second visit in two days?
Thanks for the review, Neil!

This tool provides exceptional value to those like me who work directly with job seekers! I have had the opportunity to use Jobscan with a few job seekers! I showed them your site and helped them establish an account and then we did a scan together for a position they were hoping to apply for soon. Their first scan showed a pretty low score, but using the feedback from Jobscan we were able to add strengthen their resume to a higher score! Im hoping this will translate into an interview for the job seeker, but even if it does not, the Jobscan remains a wonderful coaching tool for creating targeted resumes.
Hi
I have been trying to scan my resume for any new job but it always changes format of my resume and also not able to identify some keys words which are in my resume already.
Jobscan provides helpful, detailed insights, which is critical for your resume and cover letter to be ATS optimised. It was easy to use, and I greatly improved my CV and cover letter according to its recommendations. It gives you a multifaceted view beyond just the wording or phrases check, so I still had a lot of flexibility to adjust my documents to fit my voice.
I was looking for my first position as a software developer and was having a really hard time getting any sort of initial callbacks or interviews. I found jobscan.co through Reddit and gave it a shot. My success rate for getting an initial interview tripled! In one month I had three interviews, and finally got an offer! Jobscan helped get me through the initial interview process. I can't recommend it enough!
Awesome! Thank you for the feedback, Taylor!
Answer: Hi Tanisha! Jobscan recommends at least 80% for ATS to make your resume visible to the hiring manager. To boost your match rate, take a look at the missing skill and keywords (the ones denoted as red X) and see which ones are relevant to include in your resume. Focusing on including missing keywords that appear more frequently in the Hard Skills section will quickly boost your match rate. Here's a video tutorial that helps with getting your rate up - https://www.jobscan.co/video-resume-match-report. I hope this helps. Please reach out to support@jobscan.co if you have questions as you go along. Thanks!
