Good one, but at the same time the conflict of scans also happen. 80% match is very difficult to achieve practically. Words differ and experiences also differ from company to company
It is an amazing application to scan our particular job without any doubt in pdf folder. In future it will be very helpful to get job opportunities easily through this application.
Jobscan is an amazing tool, not only does it help with polishing your resume but it is a great tool to ensure your resume is a proper fit for the position in which you are applying.
Awesome feedback! Thanks so much, Dustin.
We're so glad you find Jobscan helpful in your job search :)
Awesome! Very simple, clear, and guide you step by step to build a powerful resume, and then you could match with the role you want to apply. So happy to find this tool
Thank you for the great feedback, Carolina!
Secure a responsible career opportunity to fully utilize my training and skills, while making a significant contribution to the success of the company.
The introduction of Jobscan is a gift several years ago to tackle ATS. The ability to automatically identify the keywords needed to be included in my resume to increase the possibility of reaching the recruiter/hiring manager is a plus.
However, as Jobscan matures, the following challenges have occurred.
1. The Power Edit tool forces the premium users to use one of the resume templates. This is a negative as several of the resume templates cannot be ingested properly by ATS, resulting in extra work to manually enter the resume content during job application.
2. In several iteration of Power Edit, the tool would drop some content from my resume. Since this is such an edge case, I didn't realize the missing verbiage in my resume till an accidental discovery during a job application. This severely damaged my job application success.
3. In the free access, Jobscan would hide certain hard or soft skill to promote upgrade to premium subscription. This is disappointing as Jobscan shouldn't prioritize monetarization above the success of the job seekers.
4. In Power Edit, the incorporation of AI to assist with rewording of resume contention to increase the match score is not user friendly. Instead, I recommend Jobscan gives example of updated verbiage by incorporating the changes with the current resume content for effectiveness.
5. Lastly, the recent introduction of Job List gives the impression of a conflict of interest as it is not clear where Jobscan is getting the job opportunities. If the job postings are coming from the input of users, then it will actually reduce our job application success ratio. Jobscan should consider dropping this feature and focus on its core selling points.
The free level felt a little "bait and switch" as it didn't disclose the amount of gated information and gave relatively little for my providing a good deal of personal information.
The relative ease of us is beyond amazing and is super educational. I appreciated the corrections offered and the way it made it easier to apply for jobs.
Wonderful! Thanks for the feedback, David!
Helpful for knowing what to add to resume to get viewed by recruiters. Could make changes and rescan multiple times to get best results with premium account, well worth the money!
Thanks, Paula!
So far so good. Easier to update resume with specific suggestions. It would be easier to customize resume to the job description and not waste time figuring it out.
Without jobscan you have no idea how hosed your are with your resume. If you don't use jobscan you will be in the dark and you will doubt your personal value.
Thanks for the feedback, Erik! We wish you all the best!
The pricing was misleading. Page said $71.96, but charge was $89. Discount was already applied and not visible. Would not have purchased if I had seen the discount already applied.
If I had only known about Jobscan when I started my job search I would have had more interviews and even a job by now. Love the fact I have access to this excellent tool finally.
Thank you for the feedback, Eva!
When applying for roles in this competitive market, Jobscan gives you just one more valuable advantage on that journey to identify and showcase your skills
Its good but it picks up words thta are not Key Skills, and it misses words that are exactly spelled in my resume and indicates no match. This did not occur last year.
The upload and job description links go in a feedback loop with no end and no outcome. Also, I signed up for premier service at a cost and it does not show up with my log-in.
It's been an awesome experience
I have used it in many applications and I am getting interviews
Waiting to get offers for now
Thanks for this wonderful tool
The interface isn't as user friendly as I expected. Also, the formatting on my resume was messed up after I uploaded it to scan. I am not satisfied and will likely not continue after the trial.
I can't upload my resume for scan and also for so many times and I also tried linked scan first step I connect to the LinkedIn but for second step where should I upload there is options to upload the pdf please check my resume is in pdf of only why its not uploading not only mine for friends also.
This tool helped alot in my job search by allowing me to increase the job compatibility with my CV which helped me stand out and was able to get an interview which led to my current assignment
Answer: Hi Tanisha! Jobscan recommends at least 80% for ATS to make your resume visible to the hiring manager. To boost your match rate, take a look at the missing skill and keywords (the ones denoted as red X) and see which ones are relevant to include in your resume. Focusing on including missing keywords that appear more frequently in the Hard Skills section will quickly boost your match rate. Here's a video tutorial that helps with getting your rate up - https://www.jobscan.co/video-resume-match-report. I hope this helps. Please reach out to support@jobscan.co if you have questions as you go along. Thanks!
