“Japan-guide is a great website to visit before traveling...”

Japan-guide is a great website to visit before traveling to Japan. They have lots of information about Japan and map of site location with photos. The website is always up to date daily with the help of their members who have visited the Japan. My biggest problem is their forums, I use to enjoy it and I was active on there but now it sucks. They close down some categories like Relationship, Accommodation and this one cool part where people can offer their service to show you around their area for free or a small fee. Also if they dont like what youre saying they will just delete your comment or block you from making any comments. Most of the active members who comments on that section are foreigners. Like many social website people are aggressive and direct with their words. I guess the people who run the website does not like it, so they just block you from making comments if it seems disrespectful. I will give them 4star because again, the website is great with a lot of information.

“A Japanese nightmare”

Sure, this website is very informative about Japan and all that - I'll give it its props on that... However, what I do have a complaint about is the "Friend" section - the place where you go and put up an ad to advertise for friends from Japan. I have so many nightmarish stories! My last encounter was with a sex crazed maniac Japanese guy who was 32 years old. I was excited to be his friend because he seemed pretty level headed after a few emails and he spoke great English. After we exchanged email addresses, I went to search for his email on Google because I wanted to add him to Facebook. Long story short, I found him online with tons and TONS of porn videos and different messages that he had written advertising for orgies and such. It was awful! I told him about it and he claims that he was "framed." WHATEVER! There are tons of sick psychos on Japan-Guide like that. Many are married 50+ year old men who want to see naked pictures of you and such. They will ask you for them! What I also noticed about this site is no one interesting ever writes, only housewives, married men, and perverts... I also noticed that many of the members are very close-minded - the Japanese members that is. They still assume that everyone in the USA and Europe are "White" and if you aren't, they don't want to have anything on earth to do with you. How racist is that? With all this said, this site has totally turned me off from making any friends from Japan. I have had some horrible experiences with Japanese people - men and women - from using this website. Not interested in them or their culture anymore! I would not recommend this site to anyone, especially to younger people - ages 14-17 looking for friends.
