I signed up for multiple niche job sites in the last few months. This is the only one that let me connect with mentors who are executives at companies I want to work for. After talking to 2 mentors I have some good advice on how to get ahead.

I had been receiving emails even though I unsubscribed. Kevin Ko was extremely helpful in taking care of my issue and even followed up with me later to make sure everything worked. I appreciated his efforts.

You will be calling the customer service number because their website isn't very good. Customer service rep is pleasant enough when they can answer the phone but I wonder exactly what they do. Their job board is dated at best or filled with fictional jobs, at worst. Of all of the job sites I have visited, easily the worst.

Ivy Exec Review
March 10, 2016

I called Kevin to see why I could not get the application to open. He explained that the profile had to be accepted first. He said he would resubmit the profile, and that I should get an email in 24 to 48 hours. Overall it was quite pleasant.

I'm not a client of IvyExec.com but I am considering it. I've read all of the reviews here (good and bad). All the bad reviews seem to have 1 thing in common. You "Cheap Charlies" always want something for free. When you don't get it - you think someone is cheating you. These people run a business not a charity and they are not the state employment office. If they are providing a higher quality of service that Careerbuilders.com or Monster.com then they are entitled to charge a few for that. Wake up people. Just because you finished college (presumably) does not mean the world is going to now lavish you with riches and they especially will not do it for free. You are not entitled to ANYTHING more than what you earn. Now stop crying and either play these people for their services or go post your stuff on Monster.com and starve to death waiting by the phone. Networking (the personal kind, not the IT related kind) is definitely a lost job hunting skill. The first generation Y kid who masters it will rule the world.

That didn't help me find the job, I want. I kept getting wrong jobs in the newsletter, so it's wasted money for me.

My situation was immediately understood without the agent repeating the obvious and asking a million repetitive questions (as during other customer service experiences). I got my refund and a new trial offer.
I'm very happy. Thanks IvyExec

We've been extremely pleased with the ROI we made working with Ivy Exec. Not only did they deliver on a fully customized marketing campaign for in record time, they also worked closely with us to monitor results and follow up on action items we took to increase our performance. The results exceeded expectations and proved to be one of our most effective marketing vehicles.

Online home for MBAs
March 20, 2009

Online home for MBAs - I was sent an invitation to join this website a few times before I explored the possibility. One of my Duke buddies invited me (I guess they pre screen you before letting you join)
The jobs I found are pretty solid. I am trying to transition to a different industry and found plenty of options.
They are online/offline, so if you call them they actually pick up!
Def worth the 5 minutes registration process

I made contact with Kevin M Ko, and he was helpful instructing me on how to best search Ivyexec's job offerings. He promptly returned my call and quickly chased down a position that I was interested in. The job was no longer available - but said he'd also would provide a link to another job as a courtesy, even though I haven't signed up as a client.

Tried applying for a job via SimplyHired & it took me to Ivyexec.com of which it said I had to register in order to apply for the position. I got a could not be approved for membership email back with some lame reasons. I could care a less about being a member - I just was interested in applying for the job. It was the job I do now - same field, same industry. Are they covering themselves legally - seems that they are discriminating on certain factors... but turning around and sending lame excuses as to why the "membership" was denied. Don't bother with this site - you can most likely find the same job somewhere else.

Do they recruit or just place ads? I applied for a job and they denied my application with no reason... they said it could be one of three things... how is that helpful.

I'm a headhunter and have been since 1998... don't pay for this service, especially because you could do a search for many of the jobs and find the employer directly...

Applied for a job they had posted. The following day I received an email saying that I need to "complete my application." Clicked on "complete my application." They wanted money to complete my application. Called IvyExec's marketing phone number. No other phone numbers listed. Asked whether my job "application" had been forwarded to the hiring company. Was told "no." Stay away from this "recruiting company!"

A niche product for a niche group of people traditionally under served. It's nice to be able to get career advice and quality job offers that are actually on my level.

My last job search was tough, and Ivy Exec completely saved the day.

Nii provided excellent customer service and really articulated where the weaknesses were with regards to my CV. He provided clear solutions on how to improve it and avoid colloquial jargon that was a bit passe or even overused. He also provided stylistic advice in terms of how best to structure the CV in light of initial HR resume scans for keywords. His advice was brilliant and I look forward to seeing the traction it brings in terms of my career transition. Thanks Nii and Ivy Exec!

What a rip off!
April 5, 2013

What a rip off! They just want your money and claim to offer 'superior' benefits, but there are so many search engines and free sites, don't waste your time and money!
I would give it 0 stars if I could

I am extremely impressed with how IvyExec's customer service was able to assist me with an account issue I was having. (Thank you, Kevin!) The matter was handled fairly as well as efficiently.

IvyExec should teach a class on customer service. They certainly know what they're doing!
