It's Just Lunch

I would agree this is a total scam. First, I was charged $3600 for 3 dates, which clearly from every other review on here it seems I should have only been charged $1500. The fact that there is no standardized pricing and this rep tried to tell me that was a deal is false and misleading at best. I think this company should be sued just for that fact. In addition, I had one date that it did not take the matchmaker very long to find and it was obvious there was no consideration into what I was looking for put into it. They just match you with whoever to get you through the cycle and make money. Worst company ever.

Online dating is horrible, these guys make it so fun and easy! I always know my dates are pre-screened, and hand picked by experts. I have been on 3 dates so far and have enjoyed getting to know great new people... My matches have been exactly what I asked for, and I am looking forward to my second date tomorrow night with my most recent match... Thank you It's Just Lunch for all you do! Keep up the great work!

I have had a wonderful experience joining. It's just lunch this fall. Salina, who started the process was wonderful and Sarah. My Matchmaker has been great. :) I just submitted another review that had some images of myself as well. I am looking forward to a second date with my first match and meet my second match to kick off 2023…excited for more amazing first date options to come. Bring on the Lasting LOVE of my LIFE! Unfortunately, this is a bit of a scam. They promise to "match" with someone who shares your interests and values and is basically "compatible" with you. But they don't seem to have enough members to do any of that and end up picking people according to age groups. I have also been misled by the "matchmakers" who provided me with wrong information about the match's occupation and other details that I consider important. In a nutshell, it is like paying $4000 to tinder and letting it match you according to its algorithm without you even approving the match... I am almost sure the algorithm would do a better job than the IJL matchmakers. Avoid, no matter how frustrated you feel about the app dating experience... join a book club.

I realize there have been a lot of negative reviews. I had 180 degree different experience the other reviews on this site. My matchmaker Amy J has been fantastic. The one thing you have to do a client is communicate what you in a match and work hand and hand with your matchmaker for success. I would seriously consider giving IJL a chance.

I signed up with IJL about a year ago. Overall I am disappointed with my membership because I have not been able to find a potential partner. I signed up for the de luxe program and spend a lot of money. I have only been on 1 date and the few other times that I was interested in meeting someone the dates were cancelled last minute.
My matchmaker Amy was absolutely delightful. She really took the time to get to know me and I know that she did her best to find a good match for me.
The problem was however that there were no men in the network that I was even remotely interested in. That was the biggest disappointment for me in this whole experience.
I know though that Amy had my best interest at heart. I was extremely satisfied with her work.

To be fair, it took about a year for me to get the right matchmaker on IJL but once I connected with Jaiye, my experience changed from disappointing to delightful. Jaiye is interested in getting to know who I am so he could arrange proper matches for me - and he brought a lot of caring to his work. I have had about 8 dates in 2 years which was far less than I expected but the dates arranged by Jaiye were all worthwhile. No perfect match yet, but with Jaiye on the job, I expect the best is yet to come

I went on my first date through IJL and was very impressed with the selection made for me. He met many of my expectations. We met at 12:00 PM and did not leave the restaurant until 3:30 due to our engaging conversation. We had several commonalities to converse about; even some hardy laughable moments describing our epic childhood memories. I have enjoyed the entire IJL experience and trust that they have my best interest in mind.
