This company is tricking people who think this is an IRS website to unknowingly pay for something that is free on the IRS website. I also fear that having provided SS #'s and a credit card, they are using or selling this information (i. E. identity theft)
They made themselves look like a government site and I filled out the info for the EIN. Then they charged my credit card $247. I though this was odd, but give them my info. Cause I was in a hurry. I got the EIN the next day and found out later that it should have been free. Boy, did I get hosed.
After saying I would be charged $97.00 I got charged $197 for an ein number. I called the IRS and they said it should have been free. I called this company multiple times and emailed them with no answer.
This is such a scam. You can get an EIN and many of the services required FOR FREE from the government at IRS.gov. No need to use this service! You don't realize that they charge nearly $300 for a FREE EIN and only after giving them critical personally identifiable information such as SSN, etc. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
No response, $279 lost in this transaction must be a fake web site and false promises of a quick turnaround time. 10 days in, no response, the *******781 is a "dead" line.
Interesting analysis - Speaking of which if people require a DD 1750, my company filled out a sample form here http://pdf.ac/aaUPev.
Believe all the reviews that you are reading on here, i typically do not fall for these scams and am embarrassed that I did. You can get an EIN for free on the legitimate IRS website, do not pay these guys. They will have your social security number and will attempt to steal your identity.
Although this site isn't doing anything illegal exactly; it's using deceptive advertising to make customers think they are on the official IRS web site for obtaining an EIN or TIN number (tax id). They've matched the look and questions of the IRS site -- but try to charge money at the end of the process for an EIN number that's totally free using the exact same process on the real IRS.gov web site. Deceptive advertising should be enough for the IRS to shut the site down -- but they are up and running and making a healthy profit. Unfortunate. Just visit irs.gov to get EIN numbers for free anytime.
This is fake. You get your EIN number, sure, but THEY get your money for their "trouble" filing out the free form for you, on the IRS.gov site. Then, these people have your SSN, the deceased person's SSN, and your hard earned cash. These kind of sites should be shut down, not listed at the top off a google search.
I thought that I was on the official IRS site and filed an application for an EIN. Apparently, this is a scam, big time. The website is designed to make you feel like you are on the IRS website. And the EIN that they send CANNOT be used for any purposes. Banks require the official EIN document. In other words, not only it is a scam, in addition, you cannot use their scam product anywhere. They should be outlawed altogether! And they charge $185 for what is free ($0) on the official IRS website. I filed a fraud complaint with my credit card company and they reversed the charge. BEWARE of these scam artists.
I was able to reverserve the $245 charge (was still pending) for this (I hate to admit) application for my ein number. They sent me an email stating my number was assigned and to follow a link to view my EIN. The site never had a number, stated there was no application pending and to call *******653 (a cell phone number).
Lots of red flags and smells like a scam!
They took my ss number and creidt card info and I never heard anything back even though they said they would in a few minutes.
I didnt realize it wasnt the IRS, where you can get the inof for free in a few seconds.
Does anyone know if they are a complete fraud?
I'd give them 0 stars if I could. I hate them. They make it loook like they're gov., but they aren't. They don't have an autofill option, so you take your time filling in the information. Then they hit you at the end with 150.00 payment owed. I hope the person that started the site gets cancer this year, because they lead you on. They odon't want to tell you that they will charge until you've already applied.
I searched for IRS-EIN because I had to open an account for my mother. This company's website popped up and I, of course, thought it was THE IRS. I thought it was odd that they were charging for the EIN, but it was a "special" situation so I assumed it was ok. Very soon after I pushed the SEND button I had second thoughts and realized that I had been scammed.
I called the company and was not able to speak to anyone (of course, why would you allow me to speak to a person?) I left a message and told them to cancel the charge.
They later emailed me and said that they had received no such message and had they they would have cancelled the charge.
I have protested this charge with Capital One. I told Capital One that they should discontinue providing credit card services to this "company" which masquerades as the IRS but all they are doing is ripping off people left and right.
I will happily join a class action lawsuit against this company. How do these people sleep at night?
This company is not associated with the IRS.My employee filed for an EIN not knowing that we already had one. I called the IRS and found out it was not them and was told THAT EIN numbers are FREE.
I called the company and they would not give a full refund or even a partial. The person there MARCUS loves to talk and reads a script and would not put any other person on the phone. He also Hung up on me TWICE
THIS Company is a FRAUD and looks to make $160.00 off of a free service
Took my money. Totally misleading site. Nobody is there to speak to before or after purchase. I would give a zero.
I wish I could make this warning the top search on google before you click on this website. The cons must pay big bucks to have their web services show up at the top of the first page on google search. They constructed the site to look legitimately 3rd party or even. Gov affiliate. The IRS should not allow this type of illegitimated 3rd party flyby business to access their site with my information. There has got to be laws against misleading or tricking people right? They take advantage of people wading the US governments complexity (which Ironically in this case, the process for a EIN is simple and FREE on the IRS website) and people who are trying to learn the governments regulations. DO NOT USE THEM you will certainly regret it as soon as you read a post just like this one!
New URLs (some older) they have made since the old ones like irs-ein-application received dozens of scam reports

I love how on adsense, they actually allow this to keep happening. You go to these review sites which use adsense and read about scams committed by companies whom old ads and new ads are still dominately being displayed, probably because they are the highest bidder. My uncle was ripped off more than $150 from the original url, and they never refunded his money.
Came very close to being scammed, because they make their site appear to be the government when it is not. This is a total con job. You can get a EIN for free INSTANTLY. There is NO REASON TO PAY A CENT TO ANYONE. - go to the irs.gov site to do this.

I didn't realize this wasn't the actual IRS website until it was too late. Calling our bank first thing in the morning to see what can be done to help get our money back. Very deceitful website.
