Have spoken with both of the founders of ITR and they don't care at all about recovery. Their only concern is making money off of you. If you need help find a phone or online video meeting for the group your interested in instead of ITR who profits from your recovery. When you contribute to ITR or become a member of ITR (corporate sponsors) you are just making a couple of old white dudes rich that could care less about your recovery.

Wow, I was surprised by the negative reviews. I have been participating on the site pretty much from the start. Yes there were growing pains. Yes, there were issues with people misusing the site in the earlier days, yes there are the same issues in the virtual world as there are in F2F meetings. All in all, I am very grateful for this site. It has given me a platform to use (once I learned to navigate the site) that has allowed me to remain sober and grow in my recovery. No one said it is the one all do all, it is a tool to use and aid in recovery.

Horrible site! Within minutes of opening my account with InTheRooms, and before I had the opportunity to add any information to my profile, I received countless emails from people who (judging from their suggestive profile pictures) were using InTheRooms as more of a dating site. Within a week of opening my account I received an email from InTheRooms administrators scolding me for not being available to assist another site member who was at risk if relapsing. NOT healthy! TOTAL meat market!

You get what you pay for. This is not a proper 12 step service, this place has a bunch of people selling books on how to quit drinking and using by plagiarizing the big book. They got Internet begging and over all watered down 12 step service. They kick people out of the AA meetings for smoking vapes whiles on camera yet allow the chair person to? A lot of step 13 going on and over all i would say if intherooms.com got shut down, the 12 step world would be a better place. If you say the word sober whiles in the NA room they kick you out, so much for free speech. If you download the agreement to join, you will also notice intherooms.com files everything you say and can give it out to whoever they want, of course they say they do not sell info but they do not empathise trading with the authorities and government.

I found this site a week ago, 3 Days in to severe Norco withdrawals when looking on the internet I found this site and thought I could get some support and some help to get through the tough times, no one in the community would help me so I turned to in the rooms, anybody that ever did contact me sounded like a robot wouldn't answer any questions those that I did try to contact I was able to figure out how never contacted me back except mr. Clean I believe I contacted one of them I think members somebody that oversees the site, I can't remember his name, I was in a I think I was a three or four days into withdrawals and he told me he wasn't a woman that he wasn't going to help me. I tried to seek out women I know the deal and I wrote him back and told him I forgot what I even told him anyway these rooms have not helped me during my detox. It has frustrated me, it has irritated me more than I already am so I pray for all of you out there that is using this site if you know how to use it that's great. I pray for those like me that are in serious condition needing help I pray somebody helps them. Reach Out guys to those reaching out to you
