The website bans you for simply showing support for Ukraine. Very Pro Russian site. No idea why it still even exists.

This is a very disappointing penpal site. First of all, a great many of the profiles here are fake - there is perhaps 1 genuine profile in a 100 - I'm NOT kidding. I wonder if the site puts these profiles up itself. Anyway, these fake profiles never answer you, which means you spend a lot of time on the site sending out messages that are never answered. Frustrating. And meaningless.

Combine these fake profiles with the horde of genuinely obnoxious asian guys who swarm all over the site looking for sex chats from girls, and whose profiles are never deleted.

Then there's the fact that people seem oddly illiterate on interpals - it's a 'penpal' site, but no one there seems to know how to write letters! As a matter of fact, in using interpals I began to get the feeling that the human race was forgetting how to read or write! I'm NOT kidding.

Finally, while the moderators tolerate a horde of sex-mad asian guys on the site, I have had the profiles of good and genuine friends randomly banned on the site. This was horrible - fortunately, I had their email addresses, so I did not lose them as friends, but I don't have to tell you how frustrating and confusing the experience was for them. Knowing there are hordes of obnoxious people on the site whose profiles are NOT banned only makes things worse.

I've tried many times to connect with people. Most of the ones on there are scammers, fake profiles, weirdos, creepy gay guys stalking my profile (I'm straight and there just to practice languages), racist Western and Northern Europeans that are fetishistic about Japan and Korea to unhealthy levels. Apparently everyone wants to learn just Japanese or Korean as it's a weeaboos and koreaboos galore. Good luck finding anyone interested in your native language if you're not Korean or Japanese! A total waste of time just like PenPalWorld aka PomPomGirls.

And It's because users not the Tool. Even if there is making it 100% CLEAR (Language-Exchange) a lot of (Stupid) people complain that they have to teach someone or if someone ask about their Language (Duh). A lot of Women 3/10 (80% off All Women there) who have Mediocre Lifes are looking for attention and validation. Is very common take a look in some female profiles: "If you start with a "hi?" or "how are you?" i will not reply." reveals a very high and pathetic level of narcissism coming from (many cases) depressed people who can barely get out of their houses. They use to say "this is not a Dating Site!" but if you are a Good Looking Man... it's Okay (Lol) they accept your Flirt and Flirt Back! Of course if you are a random person and do the same, will be a "Creepy Behaviour". Women use Interpals for Ego-Boost. This site made me believe in something never before thought: I discovered that inhabitants of First World Countries are totally dumb, idiots with IQ of 50 unable to maintain a basic conversation. Men there are most of them needy and desperate for female attention and sexual attention, many are sexual perverts who want virtual sex. Others are Scammers and want $$$ using Fake Photos and Fake Profiles. To be totally fair: I met a few nice (and Real) people there. In short it's (or should be) a website to Learn Languages/PenPals but unfortunately it was invaded by Losers.

This site is horrible. Been a member multiple times and found that only fake American profiles write to you. This site is owned and run by a guy that was already found to be accused of hacking into member profiles and stealing their identity. I decided to test the validity of the site, firstly. Creating a normal profile of myself I hardly got ANY people to view my profile and probably 98% of those who viewed it were fakes. Then, I created a "female" profile to see what would happen and instantly got overloaded with 100 views within the hour ALL of which were either fakes and scammers or perverted men saying how gorgeous I was. It's also interesting if you notice how many members DO NOT update their profiles or fill out the profile. How many can not spell proper english ect. There is also an abundance of Ukrainian and Russian women on the site which is suspect. The moderators there seem to care very little about the scamming that goes on there. Another drawback is I believe my computer had been infected many times while using the site. This is NOT a legit site and would not trust it in any way. Stay away from this site unless you want your computer hacked, or become the victim of a scam or false identity. There are WAY too many red lights for this site to be legit. Be warned.

If you are looking to learn a new language or make a new friend, this is not the right place for you. This probably used to be a great website to find friends and meet people from all over the world but now it's just a place where desperate and antisocial weirdos look for attention that they don't get IRL.

People don't bother to read your profile or the request section so you'll end up getting a ton of messages from people you have nothing in common with and that you are not interested in talking to. Blocking countries doesn't seem to work either, because I blocked a few and still ended up getting messages. Most messages are creepy and I never even opened most of them. The only time I messaged someone back who actually seemed nice, I had to block him after a few messages because he was constantly trying to direct the conversation to talking about his underwear.

After that, I changed my settings so that only friends can send me messages or write on my wall. I'm gonna keep it that way until the 7 days are up and I can finally delete my account.

I'm 22 y/o girl from Germany. I had many bad experiences with this website. My first bad experience was with man from California. He talked with me some months and had me fall in love then he just completely disappeared after he finds more beautiful woman. Then I have met a man from Florida and England around the same time. I liked them both but I favoured the English man a bit more so the Florida guy would get jealous and ignore me. After I discovered the British man lied to me about a lot of things I tried to become more serious with the Florida man but he did not trust me. He decided to talk to me for a few months anyway but we started to argue a lot because he wanted me to delete the Interpals because he knew I get thousands of messages a day. I would never delete it and we had bad argument so he decided to send out personal sex conversations and photos to my friends and family as revenge because he said I am a lying little sneak. I never have been so ashamed in my life. This website is full of terrible and cruel people. I cried for months then never returned ever.

Wow good to see I am not alone and not surprised to see such low rating! There should be a -5 rating option!

That site was good but recently it has really gone downhill really due to incompetent Mods. Mods are so biased and they flag just anyone and delete accounts without any reason! If you report a girl profile for having nude pics and soliciting sex then nothing happens at all and in return you get warned/banned! Lot of men do spam a lot but some women clearly misuse "Report" button! When you ask the mods on which basis profile is flagged they say their mods are working hard and all that but no solid reason. When you say you would delete you account they say they don't care since their site is so famous and all would come. There is clear bias and one sided affair and sheer arrogance since their site became a bit famous!

I had actually made a list of women who are here for dubious reason but MOST profile are now inactive now but this profile is still there. This one deleted her nude pics, she was openly asking for men to visit her and long lasting friendship(asking for bf's) but now changed her profile description as well. I was on interpals for a while now i deleted the account after two months then i kept some people in contact who i messaged for 6 months and a half. All i experienced was lust feelings and mind games and lies to have a girl hopes up when no one stays. Its just for Skype and whatsapp to waste time and have a good laugh of it. Not for serious person who wants to be commitment for it to be real., i learned that nothing really beats real friends in real life. Compared to friends you'll meet online. You never no when they'd change their mind and you'll never know who they really are. This website does not have people with substance on it, because they leave when they see it s full of rubbish. Apart from the scammers any normal people, are bit weird and maybe quite sad- social rejects of society. That s why they resort to these online websites. They re also quite rude and lack humor. No one fun- just weird people. Good luck for all who wants to see how it goes, just be extra careful and know the person well for a long period time not just months test it. Also don't catch feelings or suffer with the hurts from someone you don't know. I hope anyone of you find a penpal site that is suitable for you!:-) Although, i wouldn't recommended at all.

There are two types of people who frequent this site.
Those who are genuine about exchange language and interacting with people in an honest way, and those who prey on those with good intentions.

The latter unfortunately, make up the majority of users on interpals. The genuine people quickly get driven away by nuisance messages from people who want to 'be friends' but cannot even be bothered reading a profile to get to know a person, scammers, people who want a free english tuitor and those who want a free peep show or an internet fling because they lack the social skills and/or personality to be able to go out into the world and form meaningful real relationships... or they want a meal ticket into your country by way of 'falling in love with you' after a three sentence exchange (does this method ever fool anyone? Really?)
Also there are those that use this social platform to advertise how physically beautiful they are.
Enjoy it while it lasts, because once that fades, you'll have nothing. And fade, it will.
If you value your time and you're a good person, stay away from this site. It is pure unadulterated garbage that attracts and retains filth.

I had 5 so called Ukrainian women send me a message right out of the blue by saying how they had true intentions and wanted a relationship There is just something wrong with this picture. Then they just give out their email address. They write a long letter describing themselves with their life story. They all do the same routine. Then their intentions are to come live with, but one problem, they want you to send them money so they can obtain a passport, visa and plane ticket. Yes then coming to live with you is possible, but not right away and a tourist visa will not grant you that. It can take up to 2 years to be granted a permanent visa in the US. It's total scam. So Africa, is not the only problem with this scam. And also if you never thought of this, they will chat with you on Video Chat, so even with that you still can get scammed. This is a horrible site as it appears a lot of send sudden messages for really no rhyme or reason other than they just want your money. I'd say never try to date someone on this site because they won't date you. You want someone out of the country go on legitimate dating site or just go there to meet them. It's not possible, maybe in some instances, but very rare.

They delete any content that asks for stopping the war or for support for the Ukraine. Many Ukrainian profiles were banned.
