I have made mistakes with my account twice now and the support person at Indeed was amazing and fixed it with quickly while being personable and understanding. The tool itself is great and I have been able to find qualified candidates.
I have had to create 2 accounts because my first was disabled and then my second moments after I created a job posting. No one to contact. No explanation. I am need of candidates but I am not able to get the help I need. I am not doing anything to break any rules. I am willing to pay and do whatever is needed to fill my job roles but I cant seem to keep an account open for a day.

I posted a job ad for my company and even sponsored it. Talked with a few really good candidates but what do you know, they disabled my account and won't tell me the reason. Now I can't even access the previous messages with those candidates.
I would verify the account with all the required documents but they don't even give me a chance.
EDIT: They have contacted me and I sent them all required business documents. Still they won't re-enable my account and it seems like they don't want any business with smaller companies.
Hi Jaka. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We would be happy to assist with this situation so we've sent you a private message. Please follow up with us there. We look forward to hearing from you.
We posted an ad for a confidential job (as we are looking to replace an employee that was severely underperforming). After paying for 3-4 days of Sponsored Ad with a standard job posting (descriptions & responsibility), Indeed terminated our account for no reason. This action apparently cannot be appealed. They will be dealing with our credit card chargeback for fraudulent services. See below for their generic email response:

Thank you for contacting Indeed. We have reviewed your account and have found it to be unsuitable for Indeed.
For your reference, we have linked Indeed's Terms of Service and Job Posting Guidelines.
Please note that your account currently is not accruing costs and this is a final decision. No further action is required on your part. No additional details regarding this decision will be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you,

Stay away! Account disabled and given a generic email stating that the job posted "was deemed inconsistent with Indeed's quality standards". Any attempt to clarify just results in emails referring to their Terms of Service and Job Posting Guidelines. Have read both several times and nothing about our ad goes against either. Our company is real (in business for over 20 years), the job we are looking to fill a position for is real and nothing about our post is misleading or offensive. Attempted to call our "Indeed Consultant" and just get transferred to a voicemail inbox with no name associated with it. Stay away, use another service. Will probably get a response to this about how they have either reached out through private message or restate the "Terms of Service" and "Job Posting Guidelines", which we meet.
**** EDIT ***** Indeed reached out and reviewed the account again. Able to post jobs now and a credit has been given. Indeed needs to change their process and actually read emails before answering instead of the generic or automated responses. Will increase the stars a bit, reflecting their response, but won't be as high as it could of been due to the experience and aggravation of this whole process.

I paid for an add on indeed. They suspended my account while I was interviewing candidates. I have been unable to get in touch with anyone about it. All I get is an automatic response saying they can cancel accounts for any reason without explanation. Indeed was full of scams when I was a job seeker, now they are a scam when I'm trying to hire people. My advice is do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

We are a long-standing customer of Indeed who have paid for sponsored ads for many years. We are a care home and, like many others are suffering financially during the current crisis. We decided on this occasion not to sponsor an advert for a desperately needed nurse. Indeed now have a policy of mandatory sponsorship for particular job titles. Unbelievably, a registered nurse is one of those titles. This company are cashing in on a pandemic and leaving employers like us no choice but to spend money that we need to reserve for taking care of our vulnerable residents. Indeed are disgusting. I hope the press are informed.
Hi Amy, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We know times are tough right now for everyone and we're here to help as much as we can. We were able to review your account and discovered the job is requiring sponsoring due to the older publication date. Feel free to follow up with us in the private message we sent you. We look forward to assisting you.
I set up an account to do recruiting for a company I am employed with. I posted 2 ads and hired 3 people from the site. Then I get an email stating our account has been disabled. We sent several documents and after we get a response that says our account is disabled and its a final decision.
I don't know how to speak to anyone that makes these decisions but there are several people using this site and posting work from home scams and they still have an account. We are a legitimate window cleaning company and are hiring for window washers and cannot post ads. It makes no sense.
I am terribly confused as to why this happens to good companies.

Our company, Avalon Capital, was using Indeed to recruit a bookkeeper. After paying nearly $200 to sponsor the add and spending countless hours reviewing resumes, I received a notice this morning that the account has been disabled. No explanation given. Now I cannot see any of the candidates that I have been corresponding with. All the work I put into screening candidates and selecting my top choices has been lost.
I used their customer contact to dispute the decision and received a notice within 2 minutes that my appeal had been rejected. Clearly they didn't review anything and this was just an automated decision.
I am very frustrated at the time and money wasted. We are a legit company that needs to hire a bookkeeper. The only fraud going on here is at Indeed.
Like so many others, we have been using Indeed for several months when out of the blue we had an emailed message saying that we are banned form using them as our ads contravened some unknown guidelines. No explanation offered.
For some time, we have used Indeed exclusively and successfully to staff our garden design and maintenance business and have paid for ads.
I have no idea what sort of business model they think they have but after this, I consider them worse than Ebay on a bad day. Very unprofessional and a low grade business partner that we do not need.
Avoid at all costs.
Hi Andrew, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We were able to locate your account and do see it is enabled and active. We've sent you a private message to see how we can assist you further. We look forward to hearing from you.
I posted a job role on this website and that the info I posted was the same from another job site that had no issue with the post, but not long after maybe an hour or so, I get an email from the site saying my account was disabled and that I will not be allowed to post anymore! This is just got to be one of the worse job posting sites I ever have seen advertised on google!
This was the info on my job ad

That's all I had posted and not long after, they disabled my account! Just lucky I did not give my credit card info to this scam company!
I started to set up an account to post a job for my lawn care company. After about an hour of filling out forms and details about my business I found out that my free job listing would cost about $13 per click. Thats not even per applicant- anyone that is checking out the listings will cost me $13. I said no thanks, but now they won. T leave me alone. 3 times on the phone and in 6 emails I said not interested please don't contact me anymore, and they keep sending emails and calling. Last week I promised the next contact would get an online review, and there was another email Friday and another one today-4 days later. I'm sure they will keep coming so each time will get another online review somewhere.

I found 4+ jobs on indeed that don't have a job posting individual who answers potential employee's questions on this site, and includes a work-at-home scam that I am currently struggling to rectify. Despite this, the customer support assures me that it is all right and that they were able to "verify" (read disclaim job seekers concerns about) potential employers and listings. I would definitely avoid this site.
Hi Helen, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
They take your comments and reject based on their company policy... haha really... don't get involved!

We recruit carers for quadriplegic vulnerable adults in the UK. We have used Indeed.com for a long time. Yesterday we ran an advert with the strapline "Don't be put off by the Coronavirus" and we had lots of applications as we still need to recruit carers. Then 25 minutes ago our Employer account is disabled. We appeal, explaining the situation and how we need more key workers for our vulnerable client base. Six minutes later our appeal is rejected, no reason. No ability to post, no understanding, no empathy for our clients. They've been happy to take money from us for years and when we really need applicants, they kick us when things are bleak. I hope they never have to rely on a key worker. It's a sad, corporate, guzzler of cash with no empathy.
Update 4/3: Thank you for following up with us via private message, John! We were happy we were able to work with you and get your jobs live!
UPDATE- I have received the same autogenerated response after Indeed reached out to me to "correct and look further into the issue..." I am not in violation of their terms, yet they say I am but cannot say exactly how... Complete waste of time.
I am contracted and in charge of recruiting for hundreds of different locations across the U.S. for the healthcare industry.
My first posting flagged my account for reasons I cannot be notified of. I have already disputed the flagging/ suspending of my account but I only get the same auto-generated reply every time (but from different "representative").
I was interested in upgraded to a paid account, but with the customer service/ support I have received I have no faith in this company.
Indeed, I would love to give you a guys an honest chance. I can provide all verification info and my company info, but you have had no interest in serving me. I have read your rules & conditions, I am not in violation of any of them...
Hi Brandon, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We would like to look into this situation further with you. We have sent you a private message, please feel free to reach out to us there so we can get started.
With literally 100s of CONFIRMED appointments to interview candidates. Less than 8 actually show for the interview, with not one call, communication letting us know.
This is a numbers game for them, through it on the wall and see what sticks. There response has been little more than "well you pretty much have to baby sit them to get them to show up"!? Even if they confirmed just an hour ago? Do I have to go pick them up, wipe their nose, give them a Blankey? Wow, seriously? What great candidates we want to add to our team.
As an small Biz employer I waste more time/$ using Indeed than random calls. Lastly, they give employers a way to rate these candidates therefore they just pass the unfit candidate from one employer to the next, racking up the clicks/$$ so clearly are ENABLERS that provide and encourage this behavior.

As many others have already stated, we've been a paid user of Indeed for some time. Suddenly, our account is suspended and no reason given as to why. Asked why and they tell us it's been reviewed and no further action or appeal may be taken. Yet they took our money at the beginning of the month like clockwork! I suppose they make a good bit of extra profit charging you for a month then canceling you with no reason. What a crappy level of customer service! I'm going to make it my mission to send/post this information as many places as I can. Thanks for being completely unhelpful Indeed!
Hi Cathy, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We'd like to look into this further for you. We've sent you a private message and we look forward to hearing from you.
I tried multiple times to send a resume and cover letter to an employer and got nothing but notifications that something was wrong with what I was doing. No information of what was being done wrong. They have my resume on file and have rewritten some parts of it, that makes no sense. How in the hell can I get a job with these irresponsible people that can't run a website company. Am I supposed to drive to the employer to get things done to get a job? If so what good is Indeed. What crap.

We have been using Indeed to find employees for a couple of years, however we placed an Ad for Commission based worker and our account was disabled. I have since learned we were not allowed to place this Ad and maybe Indeed should have disabled this Ad but not our whole account and we can no longer see the ******* plus applicant we have had!

Answer: Hello Anita, positions posted for free stay on Indeed for a total of 120 days. Sponsored positions can stay on the site until an employer has filled the job and closed it on Indeed.

We'd be happy to assist you here in reviewing your resume and offering suggestions for applying to jobs on the site. Answer: Hello Gerard, sorry for the negative experience. Indeed recently augmented existing search quality programs with new, ongoing strategies to make sure all jobs on Indeed meet standards for quality. This effort included a large scale review of job listings. Jobs that violated our guidelines and companies that did not meet our quality standards were disabled. We apologize that this was a frustrating process for you and will provide this feedback to our Search Quality team for future improvements.
Answer: By NO MEANS should you pursue this so-called job offer further and in fact, you should report them to the Better Business Bureau.
Answer: Hi Kristina, feel free to email our team at sitejabber@indeed.com with some additional details regarding your concerns and we'd be happy to take a look. Please be sure to reference this interaction in your email. Thank you.
