This website can be used to search and identify numbers, and while it does function as advertised, m it's also a trap where you do NOT want to provide them with your credit or debit card number and information. I recently used them based on some curiosity of an unknown number I received a phone call from by paying for a 0.95 cent one-day trial fee. Well to my surprise, the following day I was automatically billed $ 19.95 and there's no option on their website to cancel the subscription.
They will offer you one-time inquiry at a reasonable price and then latch on to you like a vampire, pulling money out of your account, and a lot of it, every month. Trust them as y ou would "vipers fanged."
First off- GET A DIGITAL CC! That's what saved me. Many to choose from online. Anyway, this sleazy company just tried to charge me $19.95. I used them once for a $1 report of a potential business associate, and thought I was done. Charge was denied because my digital card was a one time use.
I was using this site to lookup information about a phone number. The site showed that the information was available prior to checkout. But after making payment, the result for the phone number was Status: "No Results", Data: "", Error: "". It didn't show the owner name or even the physical address. I contacted support, and asked for a refund because their service didn't work. It's now been 7 days, and no refund.
I have the same experience as the rest of the people here. No results and no indication how much more it might cost after my "24 hr trial run". They cancelled me as soon as I inquired about future cost. Don't waste your time
I went on Spokeo.com to find a homie i did time with. I got a 99 cent special then cancelled it. They are the ONLY ones I gave my card information to that week. Then, magically, idcaller.com took $19.95 off my account.
My crappy online bank won't give me their bank account and routing number, but if any of you can get it, I'll add it to my btc trading account, use my preferred status to pull whatever amount from their account we have been taken for, then I'll close the trading account. Idcaller.com is based in Panama so they're immune from prosecution. I don't know Spanish so won't be going there. BUT I'm 1000% (that's one thousand percent) willing to do the prison time for the "crime" of getting my/your money back. You must provide proof of how much they took.
Gets me their account number and routing number and I'll do the rest.
Here's my proof they took my money.
Signed up for the 95 cent trial. The information was non existent, worse than a free site. My credit card was billed for $29.22. Ive just cancelled the credit card as I presume they will keep charging me.
I entered credit card info for their 95 cents trial for 24 hours info. Did not get the promised report. Checked my credit card company, and I don't see the charge posted. But now they have my info. Am going to cancel the card and file further reports about the company.
Have been trying for over a year to cancel. Changed my credit card number and they charged it with the amount. They changed states and telephone number which they do not answer and do not reply to emails as they have given to cancel
I sent in a cancellation request from website and did not get any response. Now the cancellation request is throwing an error. I reset my passcode to membership and the login does not work using their temporary password
A total scam! Searched a number and didn't get a name or address like they said I would. Searched my own number and several others and the information was incorrect and some didn't even have the right names or address.
The site will not give you a refund OR cancel your subscription SO...
1.) Call your bank, and go to the fraud claims service
2.) Tell them that IDCaller is fraud on your account
3.) They will either cancel your debit/credit card and send you a new one or you have to ask them to cancel your card and ask if they can send you a new debit/credit card.
Prayers & hopes that this helps and works for you like it did for me!
This site doesnt give anymore information about numbers then a free site does. When i cancelled my so called subscription on the day they charged me 19.99 i received a notice that they canceled it but they didnt and havent yet refunded my money.
Total rip off. Calling or trying to contact these bums to cancel my non-subscription is like calling the fricken moon.
I certify that this review is based on my own bad experience
THEY ONLY WANT TO MAKE MONEY FROM YOU ILLEGALY,
YOU CAN NOT CANCEL YOUR REGISTRATION FROM THEIR SITE.
THEY CONTINUE TO CHARGE MONEY ON YOUR CREDIT CARD. THEY ARE THIEVES.
BLOCK YOUR CREDIT CARD, IT'S THE ONLY WAY
Can I give a zero rating? This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Good luck getting your money back...
Besides 80% of the time it does not find the person that calls... i believe it is a fake web site...
I WILL NEVER GET RID OF THIS... THEY JUST KEEP TAPPING MY BANK ACCOUNT EVERY MONTH
It wont let you log out or unsubscribe from the website and it is a pain in the $#*! to dispute with your bank!
I don't understand why this site is allowed to be on the web. I had the same problems that others had. I did the $0.95 24 hour trial and even though they told me they had found information to entice me into subscribing, after I subscribed, I was told there was no information. I tried several times to cancel my subscription, but it failed with a worthless error message; something like "The send failed." Later, when I tried to log on, my credentials were no longer valid. I clicked the "forgot my password" link and it said it sent an email to my inbox, but it never got there (yes, I checked my junk folder and did a search through my entire email service). I then sent them an email to *******@idcaller.com, the email they have published on the site, but got no response. Today, they charged my credit card the auto-renew fee and I still can't reach anyone. It's going to really piss me off if I have to cancel my card and get a new one.:-(
I've attached three photos of screen shots I took. The first one shows the email I sent from their site to cancel my subscription. The second on shows the error message (see black lettering at the top of the screen shot) I received each time I tried submitting my request. Note, the error message suggests a formatting error and the only possible error I can see is in the phone number. I've tried every type of phone number formatting and still got the same error message. The third attachment shows the error message I get after trying to reset my password. I tried many many times with the same error. I have very fast internet. I have more screen shots if needed. How do we shut this site down?!
I saved my life thanks the reviews... the 99 cent offer made me think that it could be a trap and decided to look for the reviews
Answer: The possible only thing to do is to call your bank, and report CallerID as fraud so they can send you a new card. This will stop all payments and cancel the subscription immediately.
