On the day I'm finding out 7 years later that I need surgery number 5 on my nose because my toxic ex husband busted it over beer, I try to use IDme to log into a new VA app to access medical info about the surgery appointment and try to log in with the IDme option because I have an account and used it many times with no issue but today of all days they need to verify my identity and in order to do it they decide to ask identification questions. No problem right? WRONG! They asked me where my toxic ex that broke my nose lives and if that's not bad enough to drive it home I wad also asked in another question where his mom lived. In order to verify MY identity I HAVE to tell them where these people that destroyed me are at today or I am denied access to MY information. Not cool, not right and not acceptable and I sincerely hope nobody else ever deals with anything like that.

Very well handled outstanding job you have a great team
My experience was confusing, cumbersome, redundant and frustrating. I simply quit trying to use this thing, whatever it is. I'm a Vet and am trying to use the "VA health" app, but it uses this "ID.me" to verify who I am. After 4 attempts and 4 security codes later, and STILL not able to get to use the app, I aborted.

Dont force a face scan on me with all these other ways to verify someone, im not being convicted of a crime, the irs needs to do better to understand who we are identification wise!
