It took me quite a while to get through but I stuck with it and I finally got it done so I guess it's worthwhile in the end
The process was fairly simple but asked for personal information without much explanation of where and how it would be verified. It assumed the availability of a smart phone to complete the steps. This process is required for continued access to a federal funding site I need for my work, so it's not like I really had a "choice" whether or not to use this service. I am relying on the decision of the federal agencies to use this company that they are confident my information will be secure.
The process is fairly straightforward, and relatively fast. The only issue that needs addressing is making how the the process of the app photographing the ID works, and that's easily fixed with a line or two of copy.

I thought this process of ID Me to have an IRS account and PIN takes days and snail mail!. But the entire process including uploding Identification documents,and establising with video scanner to avoid robo accounts is phenomenal. It took less than 20 min to accomlish the task of id me and get my ID PROTECTION PIN.
