It's been many years since I've used the IRS website. Boy was I surprised that I couldn't simply look something up and be done with it! I had to get an ID validating I am who I said I was. It was a very quick process. The hardest part was figuring out how to do a selfie. For some reason my selfie had issues and was not accepted. The reward for that was an actual human had to make the comparison with my drivers license. The young human man was friendly, professional, and polite.
