It took me since November of last year 2024 to get cleared to get back on and finally accomplished what I was trying to do.pertaining to social security

I was advised to do this to prevent identity theft. But the first MFA code I was sent could not be entered. Then I was allowed to continue. At the end of taking the selfie, there was a message that the process did not work but I received a second MFA text that I entered and apparently the process went through. I have done this now, but wish I had not as my gut feeling is that this may be a scam. If I were you, I would avoid.

On the 3rd of Feb I applyed for a SSA account. I had to litterally wait at my computer for a video call for over 18 hrs. The result, I have a account as verified with id.me, but absolutly NO ACCESS TO SSA.
I needed to get my taxes filed and get it done so I went to a tax agency. I was inform that I needed a IP pin. I was directed to a local i.r.s office in the vicinity but she told me going on line would be easier so that's what I did
The guy I spoke with was super friendly all smiles and really did a great job 👍
