Id. Me is such a need to have and easy and or great tool for adults to have in the United States. I had the following tool through my personal account using my very own personal cellular phone. So it's a very simple to acquire resolution to many government issued trouble
Good. I wasn't informed about my tax status for the last four to five years. Instead, I've received misinformation & disinformation from some unprofessional officials in Ramsey County, Minnesota, who have systematically targeted my child & me out of prejudice & discriminatory retaliation. They've exploited our disabilities & vulnerabilities to mistreat us. Regrettably, systemic failures within the bureaucracy & a "blue wall of silence" have only worsened our situation. Please Send Out An S. O. S.
I've used ID me to get discounts on my phone plan since I'm a first responder, I've used it to get access to ssa. Gov as well, it's super secure. The process ti get my identity verified was super quick and easy it took about 10 minutes to get everything done.
Follow the instructions exactly as laid out and you'll make a clean pass at this process; don't attempt any shortcuts. This ID. Me has proven to be the most rigorous verification process I have ever encountered. This process could have, and should have, been put in place years ago. Thank you for taking this verification process seriously!
It was a pleasant experience for my identity verification need. The process is simple as long as you have the required documents needed. The instructions are clear. The representative in the video call was cordial and very accommodating.
Hectic, but a sign of the times! I felt safe with my information, and I now realize that we all must be careful, while using the internet. I am always amazed at what can be done on the computer and appreciate what the different companies and especially our government is doing to keep us safe. Thank you again ID. Me!
I had tried to sign into ID. Me numerous times for about 6 months with no success. Today "I think" I was successful. Next time I try to sign in I should know for sure (?) if all was successful. To me, the whole complex signing in process is excessive for us old timers, compared to the simple signing in on other sensitive sites such as our banking sites. I hope changing passwords won't be as complex.
Allows easy access to Medicare, Social Security. Proved milItary service for Lowe's discount.
Too bad Home Depot and USAA Insurance do not use this service. It would allow quick access to those company services
Times have changed for the betterment of our personal information, likeness the list goes on I hope this will continue to make the changes as time passes keep up with the technology for all safety and security.
I did not have to go in the social security office administration due to having to make an appointment. I was able to set up this account with no problems and access to information I need for my housing I am very pleased with this service
Apparently, when I did not turn off my VPN, I could not pass the final verification - the ten second verification took an indeterminable amount of time; never stopped and gave me a chance to correct the problem; and then locked me out of the otherwise verified account. I was stuck using a secondary, seldom used, seldom checked account. Very frustrating. If there is another option, try to avoid using ID.me (good luck with that, though!)
I was obtaining an API key for USPTO. I was not looking forward to this painful and invasive process from ID.me.
Turns out my dad who's 81 years old could do it. Not that he did it, but it really was that simple. We were headed to dinner to meet up with our friends. I have this giant prostate, That is entirely another story but my point being I had to pee something fierce (Nothing new). I was able to get it done in a few minutes, Relieve myself and catch up with our friends. There was absolutely no issues with ID.me. It went fast enough that a 51-year-old guy with a giant prostate could do it in a few minutes
I would say that is a win
I hope somebody actually reads this
ID.me is a perfect way to interact with participating federal agencies. You set up your account with facial recognition and 2 factor verification, signing, and off you go to accomplishing your goal. Right now the IRS is set up on it to make filing taxes easier.
I needed to sign up with ID. Me to access my Socia Security information. The steps to follow were extremely easy, the entire process only took about 10 minutes. The site can tell if the picture ID you are uploading is legible and clear. I feel secure with this site. I currently use it with my patients as well, and I always feel confident that their privacy is protected.
It took a bit longer than expected to go thru the process. As an IT professional, I highly recommend being patient, and setting up strong security for on-line accounts. Hacking is a very real and frequent threat.
I have used other face id features before with other apps and company's. I feel like a lot or most of them take too long to verify or activate what I'm trying to do. The other ones make me retry the feature several times and sometimes they never seem to work. With ID. Me it only took me a few seconds to verify and there wasn't any unreasonable y
Anything that makes it easier to communicate with governmental agencies is worth a little effort on our part. The downside is having to go through the Multi-Factor Authorization (MFA) over and over again when signing in while going through the set-up process. This is a little bit tedious. I hope it will be helpful when navigating the airport security lines. I will find out in the next few weeks.
I didn't chose to use ID. Me. It was my only choice to submit a simple request through a government website. It required several excessive and unnecessary steps just to get access to the Archives website. And then after uploading a lot of info including biometric data from my phone camera, I had to agree to them sharing the data with others in order to finally access the website I came to in the first place. If you're going to play the role of Big Brother, at least try to be more subtle about it.
Using ID. Me to identify my self was an easy process for me. It was as simple as creating an email account. I did not find site complicated at all. When I was first asked to ID myself through the this website my first thought was "am I going to be able to do it" but then when got got started I thought oh! This is a piece of cake.
I tried Chime with April and after like 4 failed attempts to submit my taxes, I went to Direct Taxes, but this requires to use ID.me
They just need some document photos, but if they cannot identify you with a self-service portal/site you have to use their agents in a short video call (15 minutes of video call + 30 minutes of waiting)
The agent was a nice employee, she explained everything including if the documents I selected to present to her were in the right place.
Then you need to go and login again to ID.me and approve to give them all your data (which you already has submitted). You click in a button to approve and now you can go and do whatever service you wanted to use but you could not because the government needed your identify verified.
