Challenging due to third party camera challenges in photo verification process - had to figure out first why I was having the problem and then look up in google how to rectify the issue all very time consuming and frustrating.
Of course data security is a concern but we are stuck with risks to work w government agencies. The ID. Me account setup worked ok until the selfie. Then it seemed to crash and I didn't get any confirmation or error message. Not a good way for the process to end
I was disappointed because it took too long for them to get bask after I explain why my account got suspended for some reason and what I was needing it verified for' and that it made me miss out on thousands of dollars my family desperately could have used
It's VERY annoying to do AT ALL, but even worse when it repeatedly doesn't work for unknown reasons. There are unclear instructions, and the feedback (suggested moving to a darker area when instructions said "well-lit area"). There is no interpretable preview image to determine correct lighting or correct angle. It says "live detection" but doesn't suggest whether one should move, stay still, blink, smile, or what? Very annoying overall.
Why does this survey imply that all that was needed was a sign-in when it actually insisted on a prolonged video capture?
I thought the whole process was tedious and stupid. To many verification emails and texts. Facial recognition bull$#*! to find you will take an extra 8 weeks to process. You suck as well as your company. Go away
Very helpful and easy to use, my overall experience with the live representative was very good and simple she understood every aspect of her job and gave me a great experience in getting my id verified
Clueless! 14 attempts in Past 3 months since Trump took office. Woke business made worse by Chaplin Doug Collin's! I have to re identify each time I want to ask a simple question or request a simple form and so far after 14 attempts still cannot get in! Anti trump business made worse by Collins lack of leadership
Total bull$#*!. This review is exactly what I was talking about. Why should I have to waste my time on explaining why this is bull$#*!. It should be a very simple process for veterans to get to their doctor or records without having to go through all this trouble.
It took me two days to complete the interview. Because, when it came to photos of my state ID a social security and facial recognition was kicked out numerous times. I believe it was based on discrimination as name is hispanics.
The automated photo-identification comparison between my real image and my driver license photo did not properly function. The whole "ID. ME" registration process was too complicated, with no understanding shown of what data was recorded, and how that may have differed from my regular Social Security website registration, with its own ID and Password. It should be a check-off process with data that has already accepted being shown on screen, with the ability to "Go--Back" and correct. I found it so complex that I never completed the PIN registration. Maybe another time. This is not a well-organized process, The photo ID comparison with my Driver License photo and my live photo never worked, no matter how much I tried. It never showed any feedback as to how close I was coming to an acceptable image comparison. Nor did it say why it was not acceptable. A lot of wasted effort.
Did not save a prior use from another website. Had to remake my account at took 8 tries per side to get the damn drivers license to upload. They don't tell you a max pixel size so have fun cropping the pictures!
It took me an hour to prove who I am. I got a message that something went wrong but no information as to how to fix it. I'm a volunteer at the VSO office in Abington, MA and it was time to go home. So I just shut down the computer and went home.
After 35 minute set up and information harvesting, was only able to complete 2 transactions, that's their limit.
No pre-notification thats the limitations, not sure if it's per tax year, calendar year or fiscal year.
It was a great way to make a complex thing easy and efficient. I do recommend adding the option to "switch over" from computer to phone before a call if the website detects there is no webcam available. 100% will use again!

Signing up for ID ME may take a few minutes, you feel sure your information is protected. Once you sign up using it is easy. I have used this program for 2 years now and I am completely satisfied with it.
Id. Me was able to allow access to my details on SS. Gov web to review my personal details. Need more words to successfully submit this data. Not sure if this exceeds the character minimum, but let's hope so.
I was finally able to finish the set up but verification seemed to be a bit involved. This is possibly due to an abundance of caution, which is wise. Just allow time and be careful with instructions. Once it's done, it's very helpful!
As I started, I picked a time where I was totally able to dictate my time to this task with no interruptions. I also got familiar with the program and terminology prior to starting. I faced each area of questions focused and felt accomplishments when I saw the continue button to proceed. The instructions were carefully created to where the simplicity made it easy.
My experience has been great. I work at a hospital with very little time to shop. I do all my shopping online, and ID.me made it easy and convenient for me with many discounts to add. Thank you very much for this site.
First of all, I've never had to do this my entire life to file my taxes and get a PIN to sign my return. I used to just submit my information on the IRS website and get the PIN. It was very easy. Now, we have to take pictures of our personal documents and our faces to be mapped by computers. We have to talk to a stranger, who could be anybody, and then they have your information. I hope my information doesn't end up on the dark web, but what choice do I have if need to get my taxes filed.
