Such a waste of time. You'll end up purchasing crap you may not have otherwise- then try and submit receipt and they reject it. Happened 3x before I said screw this nonsense. It would take years to ever reach $20 payout when they reject half the time. Trust me, spend your time doing things that are less frustrating- like threading a needle while blindfolded
Ibotta is a huge waste of time. I'd rate their customer service if it existed but it's impossible to get any response from an actual person. Barcodes never scan or are readable, and when they actually do…. The item comes up missing the next day. Huge waste, I have found way better apps that actually work.
I do almost all of my shopping on Amazon, except for groceries.
Ibotta used to give me cash back on every purchase that I made. I made 6 purchases about 2 months ago worth almost $800. I never received a single penny back from Ibotta. I stopped using them as it is no longer worth it.
This is a great way to make extra cash. The app is easy to use and gives cash back on everyday products. When customer service is needed they are quick, courteous and fair. I love ibotta. Thank you
Oh yeah after reading these reviews I can't believe it. I've never been locked out and I've always gotten quick responses. But I am always nice kind and respectful knowing that its not there fault its all computers till there's a problem. And it pays real money which is more than I can say about alot of other site/apps. Good job ibotta!
The account review team goes above and beyond even to us older shoppers they act with great respect and understanding on all issues great thanks to them
Not getting proper credit for items that meet all the requirements. Email them and it's been almost 2 weeks with no real reaponse. Now the offers are I'm guessing void which I'm assuming is their plan. I also have been needing to verify so many things with the box or label bar code if the container hasn't been thrown out yet because I don't scan receipts after every grocery trip. To cut down on time I try and scan all at once- one-two times/week. It's such a great idea but I feel the only entity's making money is IBOTTA! Please note I have earned over 100$ in the last year but it's time consuming and I'm not so sure it's worth the time... Oh yeah. I can't seem to withdraw my money either.
I have had a few issues in the past, and the customer service has always responded quickly and with explanations to solve the issue,I am happy I have this app It has helped get back a little on groceries crazy prices.
With the price of groceries these days, this app has been a great addition to the grocery store digital coupons. I only purchase what I would normally use/buy, unless it's a freebie, and i have earned over $20.00 in 3weeks. You can't go wrong
I recently heard about Ibotta and thought this must be a scam. After doing some research turns out - it is legit and incredibly easy to use. Simply shop your favorite stores - check on the app of there are any offers, click, buy and share your receipt. It is that simple! And cash back is never a bad thing! Much easier than the traditional clipping coupons (which I do as well), whic I usually lose in the bottom of my purse during check out time.
Been using Ibotta for a few years now and have generally had a great experience. Sure, sometimes there are glitches (with certain online shopping experiences), but my experience with grocery stores is very consistent, and I like that there's an interesting variety of products at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Target, Walmart, etc. that are often eligible (even as someone who generally sticks to low-carb/keto/paleo). Just get in a habit of scanning the app before a shopping experience and remembering to keep your receipt.
Every receipt I submit is always missing something. I have to contact customer service multiple times to get the missing funds. If you have a bonus, you don't get it because they say they can't add it
I sent email yesterday evening to help resolve an issue I was having with receipt not working on a certain discount. Hour later I was cleaning out emails and already had a response. I was extremely surprised and really appreciative of the customer service I received.
I was referred two years ago and got $10 for starting up and things were pretty nice. After a few months I noticed that some offers weren't accepted, even though they were clearly on my receipt and also matched the item criteria. Once you submit an offer, and it's not accepted, the item will disappear and not show up again. So I've been cheated out of many "Any brand" rebates, as well as name brand items. When this happens you also lose out on bonus offers due to having less items in a challenge, etc. Almost every month I have to write them with screenshots of offer "errors." In my photo you can see offers matched when submitted, but after only some matched. Sometimes they credit the errors, except for bonus offers. A few of my emails have never received a response. After I get my last minimum of $20 I'm closing my account because it takes over a week to get help and it's too time consuming to just get 25 cents or a dollar. They aren't honest and play tricks with the app. No thanks!
Sounded too good to be true and it is. Have no way to redeem for items I purchased that are listed and barcodes match. Sent customer service numerous emails. They take days and weeks to respond. When the rep finally did, it was jus copied and pasted instructions which are on the site and I had already done. Cant get any help. Waste of time and a hassle. Deleting app
I was having a problem entering a receipt for a purchase while using Ibotta. All it took was a short email with receipt attached and within hours the funds where applied to my account. I am 65 and not computer littered but they couldn't have made this more easy for me.
When I first got the app there were so many rebates on products I always buy and in a matter of two or three months I had earned $80. Easy to cash out for starbucks, Walmart and other gift cards or get the money. I had no problem with that. But after the initial three months all the products I was buying and getting good rebates on all disappeared. Now 6 months on Im only earning 25c or a little more on $200 grocery receipts. I think they pull you in somehow using your shopping habits then drop those products once they have you hooked. I cant be bothered anymore.
Ibotta is easy as it suggests. Simply choose products and scan receipts. Sometimes you can just scan the QR codes on your receipt. There are also bonuses for certain or combination purchases. Get paid through PayPal or Venmo. I have luckily never had an issue with getting paid or information disappearing as some others have mentioned. As long as you are willing to purchase the name brand products listed or purchase through certain websites you can make some money back. It's worth a try anyway. Please pay it forward and sign up using registration code cqungyj.
Although I love the app, it does get frustrating looking for an item that isn't available in a particular store. A few years back, Ibotta had a feedback button that would say 'not available at this retailer' that a user could let the team know that it isn't available at that retailer. I would think that would be a good tool (feedback) for the Ibotta team to use as well as not so frustrating for the user.
Ibotta has been great! I get cash back for everyday items I need. I've only had one issue so far: there was a $2 cash back offer for "Maybelline New York Mascara, any variety, any size." I bought the two pack of Maybelline New York Mascara & after getting home & scanning my receipt, the app said it doesn't qualify. Why not? It's Maybelline New York Mascara, any variety, any size. I emailed customer support & they helped me get a resolution (they credited my account $2). Thank you!
I love using Ibotta. Extra money is Always nice, especially when you get it just for buying what you like.
If ever a problem, their customer service department is great and efficient too.
Answer: Absolutely so true! I earned up just over $100 and when I went to cash out they said I was fraudulent YET I HAVE EVERY RECEIPT and all submissions were valid. It took me months to get to this amount. Hmmmmm Class action anyone?
Answer: Because they deny certain purchases due to cost! It's become a scam!
Answer: I tried to withdraw money for the first time and it said my account was locked because of multiple attempts which was not true.! I sent 5 requests for help in a week and they finally responded by deactivating my account and keeping the 360.00 that took me months to accumulate. They claim I tampered with a date on a receipt and I just crossed off the account number. So they can keep my money that is mine. How can I get my money back?
Answer: Sorry Jenna bit it seems like you're kinda late for that rebate a few years actually. I'm pretty sure that ibotta have 100% absolutely forgot about you and by not I'm sure you forgot about too. :)
Answer: Go to your $amount and cash out and it will say bank or gift card.
Answer: Why don't any product receipts add extra bonus for us?
Answer: You have to email the morons that run their customer support at least 3 times before you'll get the proper amount credited to your account.
