Overall, I've been fairly satisfied with Ibotta and my earnings through grocery, various retailers and restaurants. However, I don't understand why there are hundreds of offers available across many stores/retailers, such as Meijer, Kroger, Walmart, etc., but those same offers are not available for BJ's Wholesale Club—you only offer a handful, and I've noticed it's never for products like paper towels, toilet paper or laundry detergents—why is that?! I wish someone would look into that… needs to change!
I keep trying but have little luck getting receipts to show up on Ibotta. I have tried since December and this is first one for almost 2 months. At least 10+ and Ibotta couldn't read them.

Ibotta has very sneaky small print rules... Should you forget to use the app for a short period of time, they secretly deduct $3.99 from your account on an ongoing basis... which is linked to your bank account and without any notice.
My account was permanently deleted by Ibotta. They didn't give any explanation at all. I emailed them more than once to ask why and I just got back the generic answer of they can decide at anytime to delete an account. In my opinion they did so because I was using the app well and getting cash back. That is all I can go on since they will not give me an explanation. I am so disappointed. Don't bother getting this app. They will just kick you off if you actually use it.
Ibotta rejected my turkey breast purchase three times then claimed that I didn't enter my receipt within one week of purchase. Completely unethical company!
I really enjoy using this app. I have had zero issues with their customer service. I've never had to escalate any issue had to the point of calling and speaking to an individual. Any and All grievances were addressed immediately and satisfactorily. The rewards are not limited to specific gift cards, you can link your bank account and have cash deposited. There is even a way to pay for your entire order, at some retailers, through the app. Choosing this option can give you a percentage back on the entire order not just individual items.
I downloaded the Ibotta app in late July 2017. I've earned almost $1400 since. A very easy to use or user friendly app. Hundreds of retailers to choose and info on how to get your favorite retailer added.
So i once was in the same group of people complaining about Ibotta... but now im a full convert. Ive been using it maybe a year and have earned 800$ back and my gf is double that. Its like this... there are always items in their list that fall into my shopping categoris... i find the ones that im already going to buy a version of, offer a good reward, and hopefully can be found on clearance in one of rhe stores. Example is this... we buy probiotics, ibotta recently offered $6 and $7 back on diferemt culturelle options. We found walmart was on clearance for $10 and $15 of a normally $30 or $40 item. We bought them out and paid $3 after cash back. Then at homedepot they sold spectracide for 5$ on sale. Ibotta offered $5 back for up to 5. And up to 3 times per account. Thats like a lifetime supply for free and is $75 back. Recently revlon was $10 back for up to 3 bottles. Sale price dropped it to $12 a bottle. My gf bought her makeup supply for $36 got $30 back.those 3 offers cost a total of 141... for 228$ normally in product...and got 126 back. 21 items. $15 bucks. Boom
I didn't realize I even had cash on ibotta till I got an email saying they were taking 3.99 for inactivity. It would have been nice to have gotten a warning. I looked in my account and they've taken from me several times. You feel robbed. We work hard to scan receipts for them to just take it back. They should warn you before hand.

Only issue I've encountered is not ibottas fault, the stores just simply are not stocking enough of the items or not stocking the items at all that Ibotta is featuring many times. Perhaps there's a way to open communication between Ibotta and merchants like Walmart, dollar general, Walgreens etc... Thanks for offering families a way to save and be able to try more products!

The last 4 times I have used the ibotta app to make my Walmart purchases I have to begged them to give me my cash credits. I ALWAYS have to send them everything I have at least 4times and they say they still need more to prove what I have purchased. Starting to wonder if they are really what they say. They are very frustrated. Should not have to fight for your cash back rewards every time you make a purchase.

My daughter referred this app to me. Said to give it a try, I would get money back. I was skeptical, so I downloaded it, went through the list of products checking what I use or might. It has amazed me the money I'm getting back. Just for something I do every week. Being able to redeem the cash as I want is a big plus too. Have referred it to my friends.
I collected all my earnings points for months and one day they disappear from my account, asked to the customer service help but they never do nothing for give me my money back! I do not trust anymore in this app
Answer: Absolutely so true! I earned up just over $100 and when I went to cash out they said I was fraudulent YET I HAVE EVERY RECEIPT and all submissions were valid. It took me months to get to this amount. Hmmmmm Class action anyone?

I sent 5 requests for help in a week and they finally responded by deactivating my account and keeping the 360.00 that took me months to accumulate. They claim I tampered with a date on a receipt and I just crossed off the account number. So they can keep my money that is mine. How can I get my money back?
