Purchased a YTH24V54 from Lowe's approximately 4 years ago. I have 163 hours on this lawn tractor and now I'm being told that the transmission is shot and it will cost $1,300 to replace it. I contacted Husqvarna customer service and was told that the tractor warranty has expired. Now I'm left with an almost $3,000 paper weight. Not happy at all with this brand, their customer service, or the quality of their equipment. Check the reviews and question the credibility of anyone who endorses this company's products.
I placed my order on Tuesday, December 17, and followed up on Wednesday to ensure it would be shipped within 1 to 2 business days, per their company policy. Never got a response to my three emails and chat discussions. Finally called in on Friday to ensure it had been shipped, and after a very frustrating, over 20 minute phone call of having an order number and them still not being able to find my order, I was informed that the order had not yet shipped because it was waiting on approval. They charged my card on the 18th and didn't need approval for that, but apparently they needed approval before they would ship it out! Absolutely infuriating! I was guaranteed it would ship yesterday and I would receive a confirmation for it. Alas, that hasn't happened, and I'm going to be scrambling on Monday to try to find a Christmas present for my husband that should've been here within four days. I absolutely would not recommend this company and they are horrible to deal with. Save yourself the headache and frustration and shop elsewhere.
Updated: 2.5 months later, literally HOURS of phone calls, and I FINALLY received my refund. This has been a hellacious experience and I'm grateful it's finally DONE and I never have to deal with them again.
Lawn Tractor & chain saws seem to function OK.
Parts can be found... plus orange color is sorta sporty.
