Why are people giving this site 5 stars? You are paying to watch nearly 10 minutes of commercials. And it's getting worst... Descent selection of shows, but most of the shows are intertwined with other streaming websites. So save your money
No user profiles/lists. Just a queue and history for everyone. Gets tedious. I used it for 1 month and it had nothing else to offer. OLD OLD OLD movies. Commercials. Can now pause & return, but it two people watch the show, you are always losing your place in the series or in each show.
A tv service that can't even equalize the sound across all channels! I only watch, maybe, a dozen channels. Why am I paying all that money? How about packages that cater to your customers instead of ripping everybody off, making us pay for channels we abhor. Hulu makes us pay for disney and espn+ or whatever it is, then they tell us that's the reason they have to raise prices. I don't even watch those channels.
And on top of all of it, it's obvious that all these tv providers collude illegally. This is what the new US of America, Inc is all about, right? Ripping off working class people for the benefit of wealthy CEOs and corporate officers? What the hell ever happened to honest businesses providing needed and desired services and products for people? When did it all become ONLY about corporations making obscene profits off the backs of regular working folks?
In the short time I had Hulu, which is about 5 months, the one thing that drives me nuts is the ads. Feel like I am watching regular tv. And then after each ad and the movie or show comes back on, the words do not match the persons lips. You have to stop and restart the program in order for it to be back in sync. Very frustrating. Then they want you to pay more money to have the option of less to no ads. This is why I will forever be loyal to Netflix. Have been paying the same rates for years, with absolutely no ads and ultimate streaming. They did it first and still killing the game. Only have Hulu because certain shows and networks pick and choose who will have access to their shows based on contracts.
Show series are not complete! Episodes expire or are missing, some seasons only have 5% of its episodes! So, if you wanna watch a series from beginning or end, prepare to skip episodes or seasons! And there's also commercials even when you purchase the more expensive option! Commercials every few minutes! You might be better off just watching regular TV, usually the episodes of new shows that air on tv are available on Hulu, so basically, you can only watch select episodes on Hulu that are on tv. The movie selection is slim, and you can't look up actors, only movie titles! Really, go to Netflix, they have complete series, no commercials, and a whole bunch of movies!
You can not pay for any of the bundles with a gift card.
Not the Hulu/Disney or the Hulu/Disney/ESPN bundles!
They don't state this anywhere in their ads or on the gift card itself.
If you owe Hulu money and someone tries to help you out, you can't use the gift card to clear or reduce the amount owed.
Seams like they are doing anything they can to get your credit card and personal information.
Watch yourself.
I'm so disappointed with Hulu. I had a favorite t. V. show that I use to watch on Hulu, now they have blocked me from watching it, calling it live t. V. How is it live t. V.? Netflix doesn't do this to customers, they charge one fee per month, and you can watch everything they have to offer. That's why Netflix beats Hulu. Hulu is a fairly new company to be charging so many high prices, along with their ads. I actually liked Hulu, because of its classic t. V. shows.
It's the worst streaming service, they make lots of money with commercials and still can't get their site working without any problems. I've had like 5 problems with Netflix in the 100 years I've been a member. Hulu I have problems every single time I watch a show.
I cancelled for several reasons. The ads, the fee for ad free, and the horrible new update. I called customer service and was told that my account cancels on 9/10/17, so why is my account unavailable on 9/9/17? The only decent show, in my opinion, was Handmaid's tale and that just ended, and Hulu as a waste of money for me. So Hulu, you owe me a day, but you can keep it. I will not ever subscribe again. There are too many other options out there. You have lost a lot of customers because of your shenanigans. Good riddance.!
Today is 4/12/22. If I could give Hulu a -10 I would and give no stars. Hulu is taking our money as there site continues to malfunction. When you call and tell them about the problem they give a month free and tell you to basically suck it up or leave. There app constantly kicks you off of the app why your in the middle of watching a program. It happens several times a day. They claim they have tried to fix the issue. This has been going on since January and I feel they should do more for customers who have still been with them up until this point but all the supervisors tell you is what there not going to do to compensate for the issue. HULU YOU ARE THE WORST! I am presently looking for another streaming company to go with.
Subscribed to Hulu (no ads) and HBO, the shows I watched still had ads and hulu forced me to subscribe to location services being turned on. SO disappointed, no wonder netflix is the main streaming service. Cant even get help directly from hulu, they're "chat robot" cant understand any messages sent to resolve these issues. 0 stars if i could.
For what they charge a month, the consumer should never see "Playback Failure The selected video could not be played. Sorry for the inconvenience"
This is 2015 and the state of the art in streaming ought to be running at a higher caliber. There is no acceptable excuse for poor performance. ShowTime and Commercial Free services that bump up the cost but not the capacity to stream effectively is specious.
Love it! It's easy to subscribe to all the shows I like to watch. The queue automatically updates with new episodes. The site is free and I don't mind a few ads here and there at the beginning or interspersed in my video. Hulu has totally replaced my TV cable subscription.
Hulu is very nice. I enjoy all the movies/shows that Hulu has to offer. The commercials are short & to the point. And I actually got a couple of items from the commercials they have. Hulu has variety of shows and movies for all ages and all kinds to fit the seasons. My wife & I watch Hulu a lot. On a raining day or a snowy day, Hulu provides us our entertainment when we can't go outside. Thanks Hulu & keep up the good work. If anyone complains about Hulu they have no clue what they are talking about nor do they appreciate good service. It definitely beats that 200 dollar bill other services try to get you on for two years that's not affordable. Hulu is the Best.
When you have access to so many other subscription services, there's no point in purchasing Hulu. You buy a membership but you're still hit with so many advertisements and it's already incredibly expensive! 50+ dollars every month? To still see ads? What's the point...
There are no commercials on Hulu. We would like to be able to fast forward or go back to watch a portion of a show again just in case we missed something. Not liking the new non feature that Hulu put on our programs.
It happens and it's dropping the ball. Many shows that used to be free are now premium member only. We had a Hulu Plus membership for a while but figured it's not worth the cost if you still have to sit through advertisements during your shows. Another thing that is making Hulu less-attractive is the fact that you have to wait a week or more after the original air date to see some of the more popular shows.
I went off cable several years ago and Hulu was my go to for favorite shows and was able to watch past seasons of same. I absolutely hate this new Hulu. Will give it a little longer before saying bye.
I'm more upset I've been watching the same seasons of tv shows since 2014. No updates at all. Unless it's a Hulu OG. Everywhere else updates there seasons. I can't wait till Disney comes because I'm getting rid of hulu.
This has been occurring for some time. I have checked everything on my end all tests are good, I've contacted HULU assistance to help with the problem many times, and each time they say they fixed it on their end, but low and behold still freezing. For the money, we pay this should not be happening guess it's time to look for a new streaming service. Does anyone else experience this with HULU
Answer: Not worth it since they updated their interface into an unusable mess. Customer service is awful, stay far away.
Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
Answer: It's hulu yet clearing the cashe every time before starting Hulu is substandard there overloaded
Hulu's reputation is marked by a diverse content library and the appeal of timely access to popular TV shows and movies, which many customers appreciate. However, significant concerns have emerged regarding technical performance, including frequent buffering, app freezes, and navigation difficulties, leading to frustration among users. Additionally, issues with customer service, such as unresponsive support and billing discrepancies, have been highlighted. The overall sentiment indicates that while Hulu offers valuable content, persistent operational problems and a growing dissatisfaction with ad frequency may push customers toward alternative streaming services.
