PSR Failure
That level of error message is what you get from this awful software. Then you get to call an automated support line, get directed to the wrong department, wait on hold for 2 hours before you find that out, then get transferred to a different department to wait on hold for another couple of hours.
PSR Failure means "your email has characters that are in the email standard, but that we do not accept because we're not good at writing validation code".
Not only were they beyond expensive, which completely defeated the purpose of using them as an inexpensive alternative if you're lower income. The communication from my "trained tax advisor" was shotty at best, and extremely confising. They also completely messed up one of my filings and told me to expect a return, only for CRA to reassess and find out I actually have to pay them almost $2000. Like, isn't this your job? How could you make such a massive mistake? Not impressed, will NEVER use their services again. Strongly advise others to steer clear of them as well.
This was by far the worst experience I've ever had when filing taxes. During a month long we were avoided, lied to and ignored because we asked for an update on our taxes due to a mistake they made. They didn't tell us additional info was needed until we waited weeks and had to call them. The tax preparer literally called in sick to avoid us. Or taxes were simple and this is unacceptable. Both Gretta and Louanne(manager) were incredibly rude, unprofessional and making improper remarks that were completely out of line. I highly suggest anyone who considers them to go elsewhere. I'm not the only one who's had these issues. Check the reviews.
I choose to do the Free online return after spending $340 last year for a simple 1040 return. (FYI you are charged for the state return as disclosed up front) I didn't upgrade to Deluxe $49.99, I spent hours trying to talk/chat with someone. Finally got an automated Chat, It stated I can downgrade my return BUT, I would loose all of my information and have to go through the whole process again. I'm disgusted with Block, don't you get caught in this lie!
My husband went in to their office and had to school the tax prep girl on how to fill file it! She had no knowledge at all. Not to mention they were so extremely loud to wear he could barely hear her. And he actually booked a appt for me without my permission I I waited 45 minutes with a appt to be told it would be another 30 minutes before they could get to me
Why! Would I wait and fork out in over 300 in feses when my return is less than 100. Have u lost ur damn mind?
Been in finance all my professional life and have never experienced such horribly designed software and absolutely the worst service. Won't go into all of the nightmare of this POS. Do not use this product or use this company.
Had a horrible experience with this office. The tax prepaprer made numerous errors on my return, one of which would have cost me thousands of dollars if I hadn't caught it. She also took deductions on my return without consulting me.
The office also billed me for services I didn't need and now, months later, still hasn't issued a refund.
You will do better going elsewhere.
They gave been doing.my taxes for three years. Started out fine but last year my taxes were dropped way early in the tax season and I did not hear from anyone co.e April 15th. When I called they said my information was sent to a different office. Did not receive my return info until may. Was charged late fees by the state & federal government,& was issued a fefund from federal for over a thousand dollars due to over payment, hence the title incompetent!
I have used H&R Block for years. It has always been good. This year I needed basic clarification. The AI wasn't giving me the information I needed, and the live representative online never responded. So, I called them. My question was "What is the standard deduction with the addition for being over 65. She did not know. I stayed on hold 3 different times, totaling 15 minutes for her to tell me to ask the AI. I will never use them again.
I never felt so disrespected to have given some the maxinun amount of money and even more money the lady never showed did not apologize made me lose my loan I'm for sure hr block will never get my business again to many errors at important time.
I've had good experiences with H and R Block until this year. I filed my taxes online and made the mistake of using the "tax pro" service. The person in question ("Belinda Pierce") allegedly completed my taxes. However, I was not allowed to e-sign my document. I contacted Belinda about this repeatedly and was ignored. I called their customer service line several times. I even went to a brick and mortar H and R block and they were unable to help me (though they did tell me I had been charged for a service that hadn't been completed). I now have to wait one week for a phone call from their tech support. Why am I the one waiting? This has been the worst experience I have ever had in filing taxes.
I had my taxes done and discovered when I got home looking over my paperwork that the H&R Block agent had made a mistake. I called immediately and could not get an appointment until a week later. Another agent looked over my taxes, agreed that there was a mistake and filed an Amendment. It has been to date 22 weeks since the Amendment was filed and I still don't have my refund. I had to pay $204.00 for my initial appointment and even though the mistake was theirs I could not get my money back!
We've filed with Hr Block in an office for 13 year's. This year we decided to just file through them online and pay for them to look over our taxes and e-file them for us. Our return was edited on Jan 31st. IRS sent our return to HR Blocks bank on Feb 22nd. Our Emerald advance we took out in November was also paid off on the 22nd. Now we are being told they have no idea where the rest of our tax refund went. They don't care. As long as they got what was owed to them- the hell with the rest of our money we are owed. I will NEVER use them again.
I filed my texts with H and R block on 1/25/22 got accepted the same day then on 2/18/22 they went in and changed somethings and now they saying it's going to be 16 to 20 weeks before I get my taxs. I should not have to pay for something they messed up on. I used the baldwyn mississippi office. Please take your business somewhere else
Customer service was non-existent! Waited an hour to chat with one, and that person didn't even know the difference between a social security number and an EIN number for a business... had to go look that one up. My middle schooler knew more! After I told them I was a paying customer, I was then, and only then, given a phone number to call. Again, sat on hold for over an hour. Also, ever time I logged back on after saving my work, I had to go through all the steps again and wasn't able to pick up where I left off. Was constantly prompted to buy something from them... an upgrade or a credit monitoring program. Aside from customer service issues, this software is NOT user friendly... no prompting, no questions, no nothing!
They are robbers! They robbed my credit card without actually telling me clearlyhow they will charge me! When the agent doesnt have answers to my questions the agent stays quiet for a while and me yelling hello hello.i know you listening... and purposefully delaying answer by staying quiet... for 4 minutes.says thank you for calling customer service and puts phone down...what kind of $#*!ing customer service is this!? H and r block what the $#*! is this?
At the N Davis Hwy, Pensacola, FL location, Laura was a very confused person. When she talked to us, she was rude and demeaning.
I am still hurt by how Laura talk to me and my husband. We will never go to H&R Block again.
Completed my taxes, band Fed went through with no issues. Got to state (NY) and kept throwing errors that were in the Fed return? NY requires e-file, but would not allow me to e-file with errors in Fed... Talk about a Catch 22! Hoirrible.
I've been h&r customer for years but as of today I won't be back the emerald advance change it's way and if any way shape form u have bad credit u get denied every time u apply because it does credit checks they said it's better system it's definitely not I needed that help every year from emerald and this year they screwed over a lot people with new system so I willbe taking my business elsewhere for taxes
Not only do they limit you to a maximum $400 withdrawal the machine if you take out $80 the machine you use charges you $3 to the machine whoever owns it the rest of it goes to h&r Block and the card is not chipped so you cannot use it on most machines they don't bother telling you any of this I won't be using h&r Block ever again what a bunch of scam artists
