If I send someone the link to my company through an email or a text, they can click on it and get to the site however, if someone types my domain in the URL search box, it will not reach my site. How do I fix this?

It's been a great experience. I made all necessary changes to my new server using the chat tool and everything I needed was handled quickly and correctly. It was also nice to receive a few calls from HostGator support checking in to see how things were going. That is Proactive! Highly recommended.

I'm so glad that I host with HostGator because I'm not a website developer or designer, but through talking with customer support I've become familiar with the terminology and process. The support staff are always patient and knowledgeable and I've never felt dumb for asking questions! They always find a solution to my problem, which makes me feel empowered to continue creating more sites with them. I'm really satisfied with my experience!

The technical team responded my application quickly. Their skill and knowledge are very rich. They gave us very useful suggestions to check the problem and trouble shooting at my end. I liked very much my experience with hostgator.
I have been with HostGator for approximately 10 years. Up until a year ago I was completely satisfied. Last year your email service stopped to being able to send messages into my Apple email account. I have not been able to fix those issues. In addition, in several occasions, I've been blacklisted because your servers, cannot get through to Microsoft Outlook and try so many times that my site becomes blacklisted.
I'm very unhappy with HostGator now. And I am seriously contemplating moving my website and other hosting services to someone else.
The Gator has got it going. Awesome pricing and quality service! I don't have much experience with their customer service in all of the years I have been using them. It's been a while since I last had to contact support. To me however that is a good thing. For me, the less times I have to call customer service for any product and not just web hosting services, is just a confirmation that I have a great product! Kudos HostGator!
You guys offer many features and a very detailed website design process but the t can be very confusing learning it all.

I'm away from home and was at a Starbucks when I noticed my website was offline. I went to live chat and waited for a good 30 minutes before ever connecting with a rep. By the time I did connect, it was closing time at the restaurant and I had to leave before finishing my questions. Yes, the rep did get the site back online from the 500 internal error but all my 301 redirects were wiped off the server for some reason and I never found out why?
I was disappointed to learn that the SiteLock subscription I purchased did not cover fixing the security issues which it found. Instead, it suggested I hire someone else to do it, which I did. Very disappointed.

Answer: If you go straight to smartchat, it is very easy - you only need to find the smartchat button. I have worked with the Internet since web browsers were invented, so I know most of the answers already. That means that when I have a problem that I can't solve, it is going to be a real stinker for HostGator support to solve - I only bring them the difficult ones. Recently, I had an ISP who gave me terrible service, and the internet kept dropping out every few minutes. The Hostgator smartchat expert kept contact with me on and of for about an hour and three quarters until he had worked out the answer for me. That is what I call RELIABLE service.
