I was not a developer and didnt have a lot of experience other than a few internships and retail sales jobs, but I really wanted to work at a tech startup and had a degree from a great school. Yes, the process is a little more time consuming than your average job app, but if youre REALLY serious about finding a great job, its definitely worth it. Not to mention that you can use your same application to apply to multiple jobs on their site, so it cuts out a ton of time and extra work. Plus, every application that gets sent in to them gets reviewed by an actual human, not just a computer scanning for keywords. You will have a much better chance of being seen by the employer by going through their system. I spent months using various job boards trying to apply for jobs and never heard back from anyone until I started using HireArt. I landed two different job interviews at great companies in New York and ultimately got hired and am loving where I ended up! I highly recommend using them.
As other applicant mentioned, this company REQUIRES the applicants to upload a video (not even a photo but a video!) of themselves as a pre-screening purposes. Is this company a model agency? No. I contacted the hiring manager and the response was just rude and unprofessional. He didn't even care to elaborate why they require the video of applicants and just said "Certainly no need to finish this particular application if you are not interested!" Is this how treat their applicants as customers? Just total nonsense.
Whenever I applied for a role in the past, I have received prompt feedback within 2-3 days every time. Also, the onboarding process and communication for my current contract role has been seamless!
My experience was flawless with HireArt, but nothing could be pitch perfect ofcourse. One request is to lower the amount of commision you are charging the employees. Example, You take $5 per hour every week. The company I work for pays a rate of $22/hour, what I receive is $17. $5 and hour for every employee is a bit exaggerated and I request to lower the commission rate you take. Anyhow, everything other than that is amazing and going well.
HireArt is a great company where clear and prompt communication, constant updates and regular check ins make a big difference. As all the above mentioned does not make me feel like part of a head count, I feel part of the company and valued as an employee working an assignment at another great company. I highly recommend HireArt, the hiring process is smooth, and again, I value communication and HireArt is on top of it. Great experience.
Its an extremely long and frustrating procedure to have to apply for a job using this nonsense and I am not sure if its a scam or what.
I just avoid any employer that uses this for their hiring procedure
I applied to HireArt through a job board. I sent my resume through their job board and received an email back and proceeded to the next steps. The next step was to answer a few questions and posing a few videos. These steps took about 3-5 hours to complete.
A few weeks later, I received an email from a member from the Hireart team claiming that I was a good fit. He needed some info from me to send to the hiring manager. I sent the info and was sent an automatic rejection email an hour later. I was never given an explanation but I am suspecting that this has to deal with discrimination based on the videos I've posted.
Terrible experience overall. I would not recommend this service to anyone.
I haven't gotten the job yet, but the process really let me show the employer that I fit the role in a way that my resume could not. I work in client services and a resume just can't show my ability to make a client at ease the way a video can. Thanks Hireart.
Hugely grateful for all the help and guidance I received from HireArt during the interview process as well as after starting work.
I've gotten the same level of commitment and support pre-hire as post and have yet to have an unpleasant interaction from anyone on the HireArt team.
Hireart is a caring and helpful contracting company
The handlers are always there for any needs and promote job security/other offers
Quick and easy applications and from an HR standpoint, pretty solid
Super easy and simple to use. I applied to TickPick through HireArt back in July, and I'm glad I did as I was hired shortly after. I very much recommend HireArt if you are on the job market.
It took me about 40 minutes to complete my on-line job application and now I'm working full time. The service really worked well for me. So a fair amount of work and a great outcome.
I do find the process and video interview extremely tedious but what concerns me the most is whether the process, perhaps unintentionally, makes it easy for employers to discriminate due to age. I always seem to get through phone interviews with ease but run into problems once they meet me and see I am 57. The two times I applied for positions with HireArt, I felt I thoroughly answered the questions and presented myself professionally throughout the video, and due to my background, felt, at least, I would get through the initial screening. No sooner did I submit the initial interview info. And video to HireArt, I was sent a rejection email. (Probably 20-25 minutes after I submitted the information.) It seems very strange to be rejected so quickly when your background and skill set seem to be very closely parallel to the position's qualifications.
Considering the preparation and time to apply for a HireArt position and the ease in which the video can/could be used discriminate against you, I would not bother using this employment agency if you are over 50.
After a series of questions and video clips, HireArt rejected me. Oddly enough, a recruiter from another contacted me that same day and landed me an interview with Apple. The hiring manager said I was the most qualified during the interview and the only reason it didn't come to fruition was because of the pay. Also, update, Facebook (the same company they were 'recruiting for') also contacted me through a recruiter, believe it was pro temp? I had applied directly on the Facebook website for contractors. (I recommend that route rather than go through this laborious company).
Furthermore, I feel a human component lacking in this agency. I called because I wished to speak to the person who initially emailed me, yet that person quickly ushered me off the phone telling me to click onto the "link" they sent me in the email.
I won't be using this recruiting service anytime soon. There is something to be said about using good old fashioned human contact to get a feel for a job candidate. Sure, it takes more work on the part of the recruiter (speaking on the phone with them or meeting in person) but the end result is worth the effort.
I agree with the other person who said they are age-biased. That is my conclusion after their immediate rejection of my videos.
My experience with HireArt has been great! The video interview process was easy and convenient, and Brittney was always quick to respond to any questions I had during the hiring process. Once hired Shalom was super helpful in negotiating my pay rate, as well as during the onboarding process in walking me through benefits, pay, and any other questions I had. All of this was despite being all the way on the other side of the country (SF-NYC). I would definitely recommend HireArt to anyone looking for contractual employment.
Hireart is a great company to work for. They are very easy to contact and make the hiring process super easy. They also let you enroll in medical and commuter benefit programs.
HireArt is a great company to work with - they're very forward and friendly and want to give you outstanding opportunities for growth. I highly recommend applying for jobs within HireArt!
Contract work was a new experience for me but the HireArt team did a fantastic job of walking me through the process and placing me in a role that had exceeded all expectations.
In the darkest days of my job hunting spell, HireArt was a dependable source of encouragement. Their recruiters were kind, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping me achieve success. HireArt's business concept takes out all the dreaded and agony out of applying by replacing cover letters with video interviews. I took about 20 minutes to prep for the first video question, then straight to recording. Knowing I could record and rerecord as many times as I needed, I didn't feel nervous in the slightest. The whole process-- prep, recording, and uploading--took maybe 45 minutes.
I applied to several jobs on HireArt. This was facilitated by the fact that HireArt allowed me to reuse recorded interviews for new roles. Occasionally, I'd get overenthusiastic about one-click applying that I wouldn't think about how well my existing application materials jibed with the role. Thankfully, the HireArt staff intervened and contacted me whenever something looked awry in my video, often recommending that I record another video to highlight a separate, otherwise unexplored aspect of my resume.
Although I ended up accepting a job outside of the HireArt network, I would recommend the service to anyone looking for a job, especially if they are looking for a non-technical startup job.
I have to agree with other reviewers - on this most recent round of jobs I applied to, my heart sank to see that they were almost all through HireArt. There's alot of speculation that HireArt uses the video segment to discriminate against qualified applicants. I can't prove or disprove this, but I know I've had zero success with them despite filling out many applications. This is irrefutable: because they require you to have a smartphone or webcam, their process discriminates against people who do not have a smartphone or webcam, which is an additional piece of technology separating the jobless from the hired. Every additional expense separates poor people from available jobs. As I don't have a phone, I had to borrow a phone to make my video two years ago. Now I have to re-borrow a phone to continue with the process, or give up since it yielded no results last time. It gives the recruiter a chance to choose you based on your outward appearance instead of your qualifications and competence, which is in poor taste. I complained about this to them in 2015 when I first applied, but only received arguments back in regards to my complaint.
Answer: They take a certain amount of time but the actual companies take longer. It took about a week to get the green check from HireArt directly after applications but to get the actual interviews from the companies took around month to two months to continue the process after.
Answer: They are legit. After you get screened with the video interviews and questions, if they feel like you're a good applicant your application will get pushed through to the employer. Then the employer will have a choice of whether or not they want to interview you to move forward. I was given a phone screen with the actual employer then on-site interviews after. If they want you after that they will extend an offer to HireArt which will then extend the offer to you. The reason why none of the avatars have a face or only one review is because people like me don't use this website but want to write something because of how awesome this company is. If you don't want to believe the reviews, that's on you.
HireArt has a rating of 3 stars from 73 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with HireArt most frequently mention interview process, great company and new job. HireArt ranks 159th among Jobs sites.
