I rarely write reviews but this place deserves this one. I would not pay my check with a tip until I am absolutely sure the service will not go from "Good to Bad!"

After dining $$$ for lunch, me and my party was requested to leave earlier than expected because they wanted to set others with reservations. But, I had a reservation too! I was not able to finish my drink! :(( (

I went to eat at my favorite restaurant, Hillstone (Houston's) at the corner of Kirby and west park in Houston tonight. I was very impressed with our waitress, Lisa. She asked if we would like to start with the Spinach Dip or the appetizers. She was very accomplished. I had the Hawaiian Rib Eye and it was excellent. The service was superb and Lisa was outstanding.

Make you feel that they're doing you a favor by being a customer. For a chain restaurant with lots of other Santa Monica options - thats bad business and just poor form. Do them a favor by eating elsewhere!
Tonight a lady was occupying two spaces at the bar refusing to let anyone to sit next y to o her. She was falsely claiming that she was saving it. It became evident after half hour that no one was coming and she was not being truthful. The wonderful tall young bar tender reported this noticing I've been standing there for a while, to the manager. He seemed hesitant and did not take a stand. The bartender then approached and reported this to Jennifer. She immediately took steps to resolve the issue and found out that the lady was not being truthful. She then created a space for me at the bar. She also canceled my wine bill something Shannon always did when a customer was made to wait unnecessarily. A special thanks to Jennifer

Hillstone provides a classy, relaxed atmosphere and yet at the same time is very professional and timeless. The atmosphere was wonderful
