I bid on and won an auction, one step in registering for the auction was to indicate whether shipping was required or not, to which I answered YES. Having won the auction, I received an invoice and was asked if I wanted shipping or not, now a redundant question but answered YES. Then I received a text asking me if I wanted shipping or not. For the 3rd time, YES. Response was that the lot would be turned over to the "shipping dept" and I should expect a message quoting shipping+handling. No timeline given. Ok here what was lacking was an estimate of how long this process should take. A simple message saying I should expect to hear back in "X" business days would give me the assurance that I would know where we stood. A week went by with no updates, so I emailed for a status update and its only then - the next day - that the response was it should take 7-10 business days. My point is that if this was the standard, it was only communicated a week after the sale, and only when I asked. I then - 10 days after the sale - got a shipping invoice. A charge for shipping. Period. I feel that the shipping carrier should have been provided - USPS? UPS? Fedex? Other. And the level of service - Express, Ground, Economy? Again a lack of communication was the theme thru the entire process. I hope that the item will be packed well as it is a collectors item.
It was a positive experience. I received emails explaining everything, so had no questions. I have used HiBid before and it has always been a good experience
The platform limits the amount you can bid - forced increments I understand, but I can't bid fifty cents over the increment? But worse, the "Live Bidding" at the end of an auction is madness. Particularly when the HiBid site is laggy (which it was). And worse, in the middle of that Live Bid pressure-cooker, Hibid popped-up a window asking about my experience, and I lost the item I was bidding on. Overall, a challenging website to use. There are better ones for sure.

This is the third time Discount Hunters has messed up my winnings and the last time I'm still waiting for refund or the item, plus I won 2 swords that were described as cos-play but with metal blades I wouldn't bid on plastic swords.I live out of town so a can't just go there.
As for hibid themselves their search needs a little work.

Got email saying I was out bid yet when auction ended I won. Fortunately I didn't bid on another item, it would have been costly.

I bid on and received my goods. The only place was Berger coins out of Loveland, Colorado. I am still waiting for three months now for items I Paid for. Just watch for reputable auctions.

I recently made a bid and won several items on different lots. One suggestion would be to have specific and defined fields for information such as product new or used and buyer premiums. This way would be harder for sellers to hide this information in the description, etc.

I have been bidding on Hibids for several months now. It is a very easy process. After you set up your account, you select the auctions you want to follow. Searching for auctions is simple. The provide several different ways to search. When you find one you want to participate in. You register with that auction, select your items, place you maximum bid and it does all the bidding up to your maximum for you. You will get notifications throughout the process on items you bid on and reminders that the closing is about to happen. It's a very good platform for online auctions.

Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
