BEWARE of hellotech.com if you haven't first read the terms of their agreement! One of my Nest thermostats was cooling the main level of my home 5 degrees colder than set, so I CALLED hellotech to replace it with a new one I already had -- at an installation cost of just $99 and no additional fee for the service call. They additionally offered a $99 annual membership to support all other types of smart home service for discounted low fees. BUT THEN I WENT ON-LINE TO READ ABOUT THEM & THE TERMS OF SERVICE ON THEIR WEBSITE, IT SAYS THAT MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT GIVES HELLOTECH THE UNREVOCABLE RIGHT TO KEEP USING YOUR INTERNET SERVICE AND YOUR COMPUTER & HARDRIVE WHEN THEY WANT TO -- FOR USES UNRELATED TO YOU! "... Additionally, the Platform will utilize the processor, bandwidth and hard drive (or other memory or storage hardware) and/or cache of your computer or other applicable device... and to facilitate the operation of the network of computers running instances of the Platform." Moral of the story: DON"T JUST CLICK THROUGH ANYONE'S LENGTHY ONLINE TERMS OF SERVICE WITHOUT READING THEM; YOU WILL BE SHOCKED BY WHAT YOU"RE NOT FOREWARNED OF!
If you are dealing with a Ring issue and need someone who really knows the system, Hello Tech is for you. I had several issues that were diagnosed and fixed. My wife is happy again that the doorbell works again and we can hear it ring in the house and on our phones.
I'm 65 yrs old and never have written a bad review until now. Had a confirmed appointment, no show. No text, no call, no email. This has NEVER happened to me ever. Don't walk, run from these people. Do you want them installing something in your home? Going to call my electrician...
Megan contacted me originally and immediately told me that she knew what the issue was and had me go buy a new Linksys mesh network without seeing the issue. I purchased the $250 equipment despite already having a very new wifi network. While she certainly tried to get the speeds up, she had to leave to get to the next appointment. My wifi signal was now fairly strong but speeds were not really improved. Right after she left, my service was WAY worse than it was before she cane out. She told me that I'd have to work with Fidium (my internet provider - 1GB speed is what I pay for) now on the speeds. Today, the Fidium tech came out and was able to get the speeds up from the modem. But, the speeds out of the new wifi network that Megan had me get simply weren't much better.
They promised us service and dragged it on for 5 days only to cancel the appt last minute. I will never ever ever contact these people again. I gave them my card number in good faith and all they have given me in return was the runaround.
This company was scheduled to come out at 7pm last night to dismount our megasize TV off the wall so Best Buy could come work on it at 10:30 this morning. We explained to them in advance that Best Buy techs were scheduled so this had to be done prior to them coming or they would not be able to work on it, the whole reason we hired them. 7 PM came and went, 7:30 PM came and went so at 8 o'clock we called them. They could not find their tech and he was not answering the phone but said they would try again in 30 minutes. We wasted the whole evening waiting for them and they never showed up. By then it was too late to call Best Buy and reschedule. When we talked to Hellotech again at 8:45pm, they said they understood this had to be done before 1030 this morning… They apologized and assured us they would have someone at our house at 9 AM this morning to get it off the wall before the TV reach arrived. Guess what… They NO-SHOWED us again. They are completely unreliable and liars and don't care if you miss work to have an appointment with them… They will only show up if they feel like it and so far they have not felt like it.
Sovente just left after installing our Cove security system. He was WONDERFUL! Not only was he knowledgable, but also courteous and helpful. He took his time explaining things so we understood how the system works and even made a few good suggestions as to where to place cameras.
I would highly recommend him and feel your company is lucky to have as an installer.

Save your time and tears and energy and money. The worst experience I have ever had in my life. They broke my tv, did not connect it, and left the wires a joke. Hire literally anyone else. Still waiting for a refund or someone to call me back.
Hellotech is a horrible company. On 08/30/2022, I hired them to install a smart thermostat. The tech David N. Did not install the thermostat correctly. My A/C unit was blowing heat and not cold air. I live in Texas and it is hot enough without their crappy work. I telephoned the company numerous times. They failed to sent a tech back out that day. Thy finally scheduled a tech to come out today at noon. The tech, Emmanuel called me at 11:40 am and informed me he was not coming because it was too far to drive.
Their customer service is non existent! I fired Hellotech and have hired a different company. I have demanded Hellotech refund my money and will bill them for the cost of hiring a competent company.
I contacted Hello Tech early July 2022 for In Home computer tech. They were unable to provide service technicians and this rolled into August. I provided 5-6 hours a day for available times and still they could not provide service. My credit card shows 2 months of charges that was not removed as they reflected membership. Why should I pay a membership for a service they cant provide. After taking off work, they emailed me to say technician wasn't available two different times. I am furious I have had to pay $19.00 a month for the last two months. That's like paying for Gym membership and they have no equipment. I do not recommend this company.
If I could leave less than one star I would. Almost two months in and my issues are still unresolved. I am still waiting on an email or phone call for a resolution to my AC issue. Stay away from this service.
I live 20 mins away from a larger city.
I submitted 10 available dates and times ans had no response.
I finally got a tech assigned (same day with 4 hours notice.
I made some minor schedule adjustments, and then found out the tech cancelled.
I have spent the time I could have done this myself trying to get them to get someone out to me.
Cheated with help and nothing is resolved.
As a business consultant, a great idea is only an idea if you can't deliver!
CANCEL 3 APPOINTMENTS ONE DAD ALWAYS MAKE ANOTHER TERRIBLE THEY HAVE DONE THE SAME ON PREVIOUS APPOINTMENTS
The worst interaction with this company - tech showed up didn't finish the project I completed myslef and sill i got charged the full amount - when I complained they deducted money form the tech but still charged me the full amount for a job I finished - would not recomment this company- communicatiion with them is terrible too - took over a wqeek to get responses fcrom them - I will still be following up to get some if not all of my money back -
I had a the most unprofessional experience with this company. Scheduled a TV mounting and the technician did not show up and I was not contacted at all. Called them to see what is going on and they said they will %100 send someone else the same day and they had no idea why the technician didn't show up they just gave me reasons why they might not been able to show up. I was okay with rescheduling and did work with them to get someone else in. Things happen. They didn't send any other technician the same day as they promised but instead they scheduled someone 2 days after. I was okay with that. On the day of the service the other technician contacted me and said there was a scheduled mixed up and he wont be able to make it. They are not a professional company. A professional company would contact you if your technician cant show up or know how to schedule. I took 2 days of work because I trusted that they will show up to perform the service they are scheduled for.

I booked for an in-house firestik setup 6-17-22 between 10-12. No one showed. They called & set up for the
Next day. Still no one showed. Said they couldn't find a tech. Again Sunday no show. This kept up for several more times. Was told no charge until job completed but I saw a chrg on June 19th. Called and disputed Told they'd credit me due in 3 days. Notified cc co. And eventually the charge stayed as HT told them it was a phone support call (BS!) DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. BIG SCAM*******
Hired them to change TV Mount from static to full tilt and hide the wires. They remounted TV several inches from where it had been so that TV now overlaps the doorframe. The cable they attached to cable box is so short that box can only sit on floor. Called same day and requested correction. They scheduled two appointments and did not keep either. Called three more times and received empty promises, then got an email saying they are unable to provide me service because "there are no technicians in (my) area." Don't waste your money. Call a reputable company
MY EXPERIENCE WITH HELLOTECH HAS BEEN TERRIBLE. THEY HAVE CANCELLED THREE TECHS. THEIR CALL CENTER SUPERVISORS LIE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. ALL RECORDED. THEIR TECHS ARE NOT HAPPY WITH HOW THE COMPANY TREATS THEM EITHER. AND THEIR DISPATCH APP IS POORLY WRITTEN. OUR LAW OFFICE IS SOLICITING NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES WITH THE GOAL OF FILING A CLASS ACTION. DO NOT TRUST THEM AND DO NOT RELY ON THEM.
I booked almost a month in advance to have our TV dismounted for a move. The HelloTech technician confirmed a week prior to the appt. The day of the appt he was a no show. I had to spend an hour on their chat with no resolution other than rescheduling. They charged me $25 to reschedule. We rescheduled for the next day when our moving truck was here. They kept pushing the appt back saying they were working on finding someone and could we add more dates to make it easier for them?
I ended up having to contact several handyman and was able to get someone to come out quickly, and did the job for less than HelloTech was charging.
Hellotech just wasted our time during an especially busy time.
Answer: Don't use hellotech. They can not be trusted. They overcharge. They lie. They are a rip off.
