I paid over $ 6 K for hearing aids. I was told my hearing aids would last about 10 years, it has been 6 and never worked properly. Wanted to stream sound into my smart phone, found out that that would be an aditional $ 1 K. They will only give u two ear tips at a time, now they charge me $25.00 for those 2 ear tips. I have found them for $10. For 6 on Amazon. KEEP CLEAR OF HEAR USA, They are both horrible and over charge. I would have given them zero stars if I could have.

I went in to get a hearing aid. I have insurance, work full time, have excellent credit and I knew exactly what I wanted. The receptionist was condescending and rude. Turns out I needed to get an appointment, but it would take several days? I won't have the chance to find out it the business is good or bad because with the way I was treated, I won't go back to find out.

I have been wearing hearing aids for years. The Hearing USA in Toms River Chana is terrific. Chana goes out of her way to assist you. I especially appreciate her attitude she said she would fix my problem within 12-24 hours and told me to email her to expedite my problem. I recommend them 100%

Returned hearing aids in trial period and ordered another. They never called or returned calls and I just kept getting voicemail. Seems they just want to sell their brand (Signia) and if you order different brand, you're forgotten. Stay away from them.

I have recently been able to finally take care of several of my own health problems. (Husband has cancer, so he takes up a lot of my time and efforts). My hearing in my left ear has been bad for over a year or so. I went to BELTONE and wasn't happy with the service, don't like being talked down to. And hate people being pushy about purchases. So I went to Miracle ear, they didn't do as thorough a job as Beltone, BUT didn't try to sell me any hearing aids. Told me my insurance only covered HEAR USA. So on Monday the 6th of February I went there. It was the most thorough hearing test yet. Took almost an hour. Found out I'm almost profoundly deaf in my left ear and moderately to severe in my right ear. Was fitted with hearing aids immediately. Was advised to try them out for a week. I'm only into my 3rd day, and am thrilled. I hear things I haven't heard in years. A wall clock pendulum ticking, my sandals flip-flopping sound, I don't have to have the TV at 100% volume anymore. I'm not blasting everyone out of the house with the volume. My hearing aids are controlled by bluetooth, so if I need the TV to be louder, all I have to do is turn up the volume. The hearing aids are quite comfortable and can't be seen, unless you're right next to me and can see the thin clear wire going into my ear. I have a follow up appointment next week, and I will go to them. Totally thrilled with them, their staff and their product.

Sadly HearUSA does not offer Phonic or Oticon hearing aids anymore. I was only offered Signia. I would rather have a hearing aid with disposable batteries, because I am active and travel. I don't want to worry about having to pack and care for a charger. I also don't want to worry about power supplies in other countries or if there are enough outlets available. Because I have a moderately to severe hearing loss, I am terrified that the charger, like many chargers, will fail and I will not be able to hear and participate in social experiences. Luckily I can bring an old pair of hearing aids for backup, but that's another thing to carry. The rechargeable hearing aids last 3 to 4 maybe 5 years. Disposable battery hearing aids last 5 to 7 years. I can use disposable battery hearing aids as backup or donate them. Rechargeable hearing aids just become disposable.
My last experience with Signa was not good. I had a continuous wave sound in my hearing aids that could not be fixed. So with special permission, I was able to get Oticon, which have been awesome! Unfortunately today, I am only given the choice of Signia's motion change and go.
Sadly, Kaiser only has a contract with hear USA, therefore limiting me to a company that offers no choice. So a 5 company has now become a 1 company. My needs are not being met by the new Hear USSR.

I had my annual insurance-covered appointment to check my hearing with HearUSA employee Linda McVickers on Lincoln Ave, Chicago, on Nov. 11. Afterwards I had a couple of quick questions. By the end of December no one had returned my calls. Today the receptionist told me that Ms McVickers was not going to talk to me because she was too busy, and anyway I have normal hearing, so take my questions to a doctor. My questions do not require a doctor, they are in response to her hearing exam and her comments! No health care professional has ever treated me that way, including busy surgeons. In the meantime, my insurance company keeps leaving me messages to make sure to get my annual hearing test in by year's end. In speaking to them I learned that my annual exam with HearUSA has still not been reported to them! So both the insurance company and I have been wasting out time because of the lack of reporting. Obviously this office is only interested in selling hearing aids. A patient with relatively normal hearing is of no interest to them. AVOID--there are many other options in Chicago and I'll drive further to use them rather than return here.

Made purchase of hearing aids one for each ear. Hearing aids were very expensive $4800 for the pair. Hearing aid are not working well. Had to go back twice for adjustment, and still not working well. Appointment availability are always several months away. One of my scheduled follow up appointment was six month away. One audiologist working at the site I go to and they are always busy. Now one of my hearing aids is not working at all, however due to Covid19 they are not open, I totally understand, however that's not an excuse for their normal horrible service. Sorry I ever purchased these hearing aid, which I no longer wear. Stay away!

Our first visit here and totally satisfied. I had qualms after reading some reviews. I went because it's the only place covered under our insurance. I ask Jordan Hayes the HAS what has caused the negative reviews. Firstly, they had a lot of turnover in employees (before he came) then they had a stable staff and Covid hit. The store was closed, but Corporate didn't put that in a voice mail. Customers thought calls weren't answered. Well, shame on them! For the past year they're open. Jordan spent over 90 minutes between the testing, fitting of aids and explaining and insuring we knew all about the aids, how they work, trying them on. Professional, patient and has been a specialist for over 10 years. No pressure, no trying to upsell. The physical space is immaculate which to me speaks of how the rest of the pratice is handled as well. Please, consider more recent reviews in your choice for hearing aids.

Ridiculously poor service
December 21, 2022

HearUSA closed its office in Eatontown NJ permanently without removing it from the corporate website or telephone contact information. Calls to the central HearUSA number went either unanswered or resulted in disconnects. The online chat line similarly was unresponsive. No convenient option is now available to me for Signia service so needless to say my next hear aid purchase will be than Signia's.

"WARNING"
March 28, 2019

Hear USA 2451 Eastchester Rd., Bx., NY *******.
On 2/14/2019, I Witness a client enter this office seeking assistance, a Spanish lady with the short black curly hair with glasses behind their counter lie to him that she was out to lunch. She refused to help him even though I witnessed that she was still working behind the counter. Before 1 p.m. a Spanish lady employee with red hair color and the short spanish girl (supervisor) was having issues trying to locate the client paperworks. The client try to help them by submitting documents to make their transition easy to locate those papers but the red hair female and the other female with the short black curly hair with glasses gave him a hard time, they didn't need his help, treating him like a child, ordering him to sit down. This was very disrespectful to this client, this is unbecoming off and unprofessional of these two female employees. The third female (supervisor) kept quiet did not do anything to correct her two female employees. The female with the short black curly hair with glasses, disrespect the client as she left to lunch outside.
I have never experienced this type of reaction by these two employees unprofessional performance with clients at any medical clinic or Hospital at any time frame, and the supervisor didn't do nothing about it. They should be trained for interpersonal communication. My concern observation at this location, they treat you very professional to get your money ($3,500) but when you return back in your future for help, they treat you like crap.

I have been an existing client at HEARUSA for almost 10 years. I just walked out of the HearUSA office and will be taking my business elsewhere once my hearing aid warranty expires in the next several months. I put up with having to bounce through 5 providers and 4 offices (all at least an hour away from my home) in 5 years due to audiologist turnover and office closings. I will not, however, tolerate the complete and utter disregard for the most basic of communication needs of your neediest clients. I am profoundly deaf and have been for 35+ years. While I wear hearing aids in both ears, I read lips as my primary form of communication. Face coverings are currently necessary given the public health and safety concern, and it has been no small struggle to communicate the last 9 months. The ONE place I feel I have an absolute right to expect face coverings that still allowed for me to read lips was my audiologist office. During my appointment today, neither the receptionist or Dr. Agulo was wearing a face covering that allowed me to read lips. I am especially disappointed with this being my first appointment with Dr. Agulo as a new audiologist to the Hoffman Estates office that she did not acquaint herself with my file to even attempt to address or discuss during my appointment. I was in shock. Shame on you, HEAR USA. Deaf people, especially profoundly deaf people, have been marginalized by society for decades. We deserve and demand more.

Still horrible customer service
January 4, 2022
Updated review

2021 Update - So i have seen reviews where people have said things have changed. That corporate did not put in phone message that the office was closed. Well at the office I visited, the answering machine has a message and states they are open during covid and seeing people by appointment. Phone is never answered, and voicemails are not returned. I recognize the voice on the message as well. Calls to regional area managers do get answered eventually and I was told they would call me asap. Never got the call. Sent email to customer support, and I did get a email asking what the problem was, but they clearly didn't read the email. I hope others are getting good service but I not received that in a few years. I shouldn't have to call multiple times, and then call corporate just to get a return call. I even stopped by to see about new tips but they wouldn't even do that. When they were HearX I loved them but since the switch to HearUSA they flat suck! I refuse to give them another penny and have found a great substitute place to go, This new place spent 2 hours with me discussing my issues, sent them in for repair and really said the ones I were sold were not a good fit for my hearing loss. Depending on cost of repair they said they would work with me to get me into ones that actually work for me. The loaners they gave me are great! I realize now I was missing out on a lot... customer service goes a long way

Previous review

I first was sent there by Kaiser and purchased a pair of Siemens hearing aids which worked well for 5 years. When the time came to replace them I was not given any choice except the Signia. These SUCK. They do not work well. You cant only adjust the hearing aids volume together so if you need one side higher you are blasted in the other. They loose connectivity to my phone and the remote constantly. One just stopped March 23rd. My local office was closed due to covid so i left a message and called the emergency #. 52 days later I am still waiting for a call back. Other hearing aid company's are open in my area with restrictions just not Hearusa. Now my other hearing aid only has static so it is useless and I still cant get a call back. I paid over 5 grand for these and am young so its not operator error. I know we are in unprecedented times but this is the worst customer experience ever. They got my 5 grand and now i dont exist
