My husband recently had his appendix removed by Dr. Richard Garza at CHOMP. We met the doctor after the diagnosis had been made in the ER. Dr. Garza came into the ER, introduced himself and proceeded to explain what problem my husband had and how he would correct it. He was friendly, accommodating and explained the surgery so that my husband and I felt at ease. The care by Dr. Garza, and his staff when we went to his office for a follow up appointment, was wonderful.
Defamation. Endangerment to medical staff. And loss of business. All are directly traced to erroneous ratings. In my case, they have me medically practicing over 100 miles from where I really practice. And their site lists nothing but the zero type ratings, ratings that are typically done by disgruntled drug addicts. They, many times, know the net well, and how to disuse it. Thus, we will NEVER ever be able to trust uninvestigated email entries = what healthgrades accepts. True reviews are available to patients through real HMO type audits of real practitioners, real patients and real visits. Everyone should be frightened of something like healthgrades, which is essentially a smear blog, without any responsibility and no recourse for the "graded".
My husband suffered for 10 years with a bad back-- he had been "stooping over" for a long time and couldn't walk very fast or very long without a lot of pain and having to rest. We asked a surgeon friend who he would recommend, and his first on the list was Dr. Paul Montalbano, Boise, Idaho. Surgery was performed last of October, 2015, and now in January, 2016, approximately 3 months later, my husband is two inches taller and is only still taking minimal pain medication. Dr. Montalbano's surgery team was very accessible by phone when we needed anything and they are following up well with physical therapy and use of a bone growth stimulator, We feel so blessed that the surgery turned out even better than we hoped. We give Dr. Paul Montalbano a great review -- so glad we chose him.
Another unreliable source that is only providing one sided reviews. I don't know if it's all about the funds. I know of a doctor that shouldn't be practicing medicine, how they managed to generate only positive is beyond me. I'm not the only one who posted a negative rating that didn't go through. There really needs to be a neutral and ethical source of providing needed feedback.
I have contacted health grades.com a total of #5 times regarding removing a review I submitted anonymously. I was hurt and upset when I submitted the review. I have never in the past commented publicly about being hurt or upset. I am not a person who is unkind. I was angry at this individual and took it out publicly. I have apologized again and again to this person.
Healthgrades.com has blatantly refused to remove the review.
People make mistakes. I made one.
Please remove that review regarding a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Dr R has provided excellent health care since I started seeing her in Sept 2019. Dr R is a professional, intelligent and caring physician, not to mention her warm smile.
At my request, Dr R also kept my family informed of my progress.
Regarding my condition, I will continue to see Dr R as long as it takes and I would refer her to family, friends and other patients for quality healthcare.
Dr. Robert Boykin, did rotator cuff repair on my left shoulder. Very pleased with the results thus far, 3 months out, the physical therapy group are great to work with. Thank you, Dr. Boykin and Kate. Nancy Riggins
Luckily, I did not get caught financially by this site, but I did get screwed in a much, much worse way. I needed a new Rheumathologist so I read the reviews on several doctors in the area that was convenient for me. I picked one who had a 4.5/5 rating. Good, right? WRONG! He turned out to be the worse doctor I have ever been to in my life. Now that I am searching for a new one, I have found many other sites to use and guess what? On these sites this doctor has a terrible rating! Additionally, while you are trying to review a doctor, advertisements keep interrupting your search. This site should be banned!
On August 10 I entered Oases Hospital and had my left hip replaced by Dr. David Ott. 26 hours after the surgery I walked down the hall. I chose not to take pain medication and opted for extra strength Tylenol. I went home 30 hours after the surgery, used a walker in the house for three days and at four days I carefully ventured out into the neighborhood walking a little further each day. After a week I walked my dog and at 10 days I began riding a stationary bike (slowly at first). At 4 weeks I was back kayaking and at 6 weeks back on the tennis court. Dr. Ott and his PA, Chris Rubio, along with their staff have been incredibly attentive including checking in one time a week for several weeks. This is medical care as it should be but it is rare to find it in 2016. I am grateful to Dr. Ott, his friendly nature, calm countenance and medical talent, for my new hip. Colleen Thomas
I have written reviews and verified my email address, yet they have not posted my reviews or answered my emails. My reviews were all positive, except one was very negative. I don't think they are posting my reviews because of the negative one. I would not trust the site.
Dr Lawrence and the entire team at Viroqua are excellent. All team members were competent, efficient, and very kind. My husband and I were well informed and felt welcome. My recovery has been fast with minimal discomfort. Health care is given as it should be by Dr Lawrence and his team. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing joint replacement. Thank you Dr Lawrence and team. Sherry Brudlos
Healthgrades.com presents it self as a rating site through which consumers can obtain accurate information about their doctors and obtain information about a particular doctor or hospital which they are considering using. A quick rating system is available for no fee and additional information is available for a fee. The information profile obtained for several doctors did not at all match the actual quality of the doctor. Healthgrades.com is a rip-off.
Health grades makes no effort to keep their information current. They list doctors who are no longer affiliated with the practice. They have inaccurate information about the doctors who are listed. They have no idea what really goes on at the practice. They clearly do not verify anything!
Healthgrades has fake reviews of doctors. They are aware of this and do not do anything about it. They simply make money off of these fake reviews and are not a service anyone should take seriously due to this.
They are afraid to publish negative reviews of dentists. I, and a few other people, had a bad experience with a dentist, and they won't publish my negative review.
Not honest with ratings and never display all reviews. They say that reviews are accepted, but never update the Star rating after one star negative reviews are accepted!
Wow probably one of the worst doctors I've been to. My initial appointment was for 40 min. Insurance company was charged for sleep test that lasts over 1 hr and you have to be prepared for this test. Doctor's billing department billed me for this test as it was performed in my first appointment total amount of $1550. 00 and test was NEVR performed!
This doctor is trying to make as much money as possible including charging for unperformed tests you and your insurance and do not care about your health at all.
Dr. Ted Korin dds. Made poorly constructed bad fitting maxillary prosthesis. Lacked metal framework necessay to stand up to wear in mouth. Paid $5,000.00 for faulty provisional that was unwearable. Korin refused to refund any $ or redo
I have been using this site for about a year. I chose a dr that had a 100% rating. After going to that dr, I realized that there was no way this dr should have that high of a rating! I waited for over an hour (1hr 40 mins). Then when I talked to the dr she didn't listen to a thing I said! She gave me the wrong meds as well. I went back to healthgrades.com and completed a survey. They did not post my survey AND the doctor called me the very next day about the survey! After a week I completed another survey thinking I had done something wrong on my end... still the survey did not get posted to the site. I have emailed healthgrades.com but never received a response. I do not trust the ratings or information on this site.
I am writing a review on behalf of Dr. James J. Hoski of Carolina Spine/Neur0surgery Center in Asheville, NC. Dr. Hoski's expertise is among the best in the nation. I have had no pain since waking from surgery. His staff is courteous. My experience was painless and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is experiencing pain.
Answer: I don't know. I suspect that if the physician really is offended and wants to do something about it. I'm not a lawyer but I know truth is an absolute defense in a liable suit. G
Answer: Healthgrades.com is a scam. Their information is totally incorrect. I have been a licensed therapist for years, and they publish my name (without my consent, of course) with the title of Intern. They also publish names of colleagues I have worked with over the years who retired or quit long, long ago! Do not use them as a resource for anything. Jill Margaret Hoffman, LMFT, California
Answer: Yes! I have this same question! It's frustrating that you can't see all of the reviews. I hope someone answers your question!
Answer: No. My experience with orthognathic surgery.
