I don't understand the negative reviews here - the site isn't perfect, but most of the moderators are nice. They try their best to help out when they can, but they are all volunteers and they seemingly don't have shifts of any kind, so it can be the wild west at night. The mods in the depression side can be a bit fast and loose with the rules, so i stopped going there Now only i go to the Healthful chat side and the mods there are nice (but sometimes you need to send them a message if someone is breaking the rules). The rooms can get a bit off topic, but the mods try to keep the triggering content out of the rooms. This isn't a support site, but it is a good site to chat with other people. A lot of people there have anxiety, but i have seen people with bipolar and addiction
There is a hidden sect of users into pedophilia and sexual abuse. This website/server needs to be investigated and shut down. Worse yet, the moderators and administration back them up! Really makes you wonder what type of people volunteer to moderate, only to protect the guilty and abuse the innocent. There are at least a dozen sexual abusers that I've found on this server so far.

It is hard to find a place (on the fly) to vent about being sad or angry or feeling worthless, whatever. I thought I had an avenue to just rant and share with people like me (sad and confused, etc.) on Healthful. However, after sharing things when the CEO of Healthful is logged on, if his/her rants aren't acknowledged immediately, ya get kicked off and rejected from ever returning to the site. I know this because I am kicked out from Healthful. Tonight, one person defended guestxxx (which is me) by saying xxx didn't say anything against the rules. And another person said 'guestxxx... you are about to get kicked out.'
I even paid the $237 for the coffee cup to try to keep talking to the folks I sort of felt, like, "got" me.
Still can't log in. Not even as a guest. Wasted money and wasted time.
Don't go to Healthful.
I've been coming to these rooms for awhile now. For the most part the chatters are helpful and friendly. They have good advice/support. However, there are chatters that join the rooms as some sort of online playground and just attack chatters or are completely random. I think its still worth using this website though from all the help i've received since i first joined.
This chat is just toxic garbage. People will bully you every chance they get and now they got hackers that will ping your IP and look up your past usernames on the site in order to "intimidate" you. Im not scared if im not facing consequences. That chat deserves to be bullied. Its corrupt.
This is a site funded by ads. Its a fraud site full of degenerate creeps that will bully ppl for trying to help other ppl out. Tons of perverts and child abusers. Pretty much a dating site for mentally ill people that cant get regular dates IRL. Disgusting. Site should be banned. / 5 minus star rating
Worst site for chat ever! Theyll ban you for any littile thing. The site should be shut down immediatley I might report to the bad buisness bureau if possible
Don't believe the good reviews here, most likely fakes to boost the rating.
The first month I used the site, I literally just logged in when I got kicked by Astrid, a mod, rudely accusing me of terrible behavior. I logged in again and asked her in main chat of depression What's up with her kicking me out and accusing me of something when I just logged in. I got no reply. I was upset so I left.
My experiences in this site are horrible. Men wanting sex talks, scammers, even pedos. I've noticed that people in the main chat are primarily composed of people who have no jobs, in disability or relying on gov't funds, entitled people who hates rich/wealthy people and thinks gov't should be able to give them better support/more financial benefits, men who treats the site as a dating site, and those who constantly just complain about their life without making real effort of changing their situation, and adults acting like kids. I've also encountered porn links on site, and mods can't do anything about it.
Mods are all volunteers and also have mental health issues as they are chosen from regular chatters on the site. People who got kicked out can just log back in within seconds. Even banned people can somehow still log back in. Ignore feature does not really work because every time you log out or the ignored person log out and back in, the ignore is gone so you have to do it all over again.
This is the site to go to if your purpose is just to complain about everything in public. If you are serious about getting help, this is the worst site to go to as you will just get constantly triggered. If you stay in this site for a long time, your mental health issues will not get better, and would just get worst.
7 cups has better support as you can find normal (not mentally ill) people who gives great advices.
Mark w has been restricting my mental health blocking me from the site I use so much I get my help here and he has got mad because he did not identify with my choice of discussion I was not speaking in vulgarity and he is unreasonable blocking me from my main source of psychological healing I need help
The mods and regular users are just a bunch of tools. They all serve one unhealthy purpose, depending upon another in different ways. It's a rats' nest of smaller echo chambers, where not even helpful discourse can illuminate through. You would be remissed to visit this website.

Basically, this site is a circle-jerk of the regulars insulting people for things they haven't experienced. I've visited it on and off for about a month, and the majority of people who frequent it are anti-social in their own regard. There is the clique of landlords who denigrate others, saying they "own them" or can "buy them". Then there are the regulars who can insult/disbelieve anyone with impunity. They insult dead loved ones, and then ban you when you show them how ridiculous it is.
To, be prefectly honest this chatroom oveffers any kind of support at all. This chatroom is nothing short aof a joke. The chatters constantly bully and harass other chatters for being gay, etc. I cannot believe in this day and age there are still a lot of ignorant people in this world.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away, from healthful chatrooms.
This site used to be so good. Where are all the good mods they had? Never a mod on anymore. I quit going there no real conversations to be had and lots of trolls. Looking for a new site, any suggestions?
I have been a regular and there are never enough moderators on to deal with all the issues. I have seen moderators try to give people many chances only to be sworn at and called names.
I don't get all the complaints about the moderators, probably banned chatters with a vendetta.
Great site in general. Got to know quite a few nice people, most mods are super nice as well. Some are just weirdos (actual mod name). Long story short, mods dont build the community.
Tip for consumers:
helpdul site per say, yet some weird moderators that work by their own rules, which i consider rather unproffessional. id say i cant recommend it, let alone donating.
Chris j - As chatters we are unaware of what goes on behind the scenes. It's possible the chatter in question had been reported as inappropriate. As you've noted in other comments the site is prone to perverts and it's the moderators job to protect chatters, therefore chatters should not question a mods motives when they try to do exactly that.
Tommy d - Agree there is favoritism. New chatters get in trouble for things mods themselves do and the mods ignore the same thing a regular chatter does. Agree there isn't enough focus on health issues and people coming in seeking help are missed. Disagree with your opinion about Forever. Many chatters love this mod. She is fair, kind, and one of the mods who actually takes actions when needed. Chatters who don't follow rules dislike her for that reason.
Tom D - yes, it's a pick up site. Have to learn to close the pm and put the pervs on ignore. Mods used to mute and kick the pervs. Something happened with the modding where they started focusing on minor infractions and letting the big stuff go. Wish they'd bring back the kick butt mods.
Freya l - It says in the rules displayed before entering site self-harm and suicide talk is not allowed as it puts undue stress on and triggers other chatters. I agree with the rule.
Bill b - no proof mods read personal messages, just a rumor
Felicity M - Many chatters are defensive in general and feel they can break rules without being reprimanded. Extensive disrespect for the mods and rule breaking goes on. Site rule is to not argue with the mods and if you have an issue use report content to address since it disrupts room to argue.
Timmy V - Agree. Chatters are banned and when contact is made to find out why at times not answered. There's 2 sites, Depression/Trivia and Healthfulchat, who share the same server. Depression bans without reason and it's difficult to enter back into room. Healthfulchat sometimes same, but much better than Depression.
The thing about a lot of these comments are they are directed at the Depression/Trivia site, but listed under Healthfulchat because you can enter Healthfulchat via Depression site and vice versa so many chatters don't realize they are different.
To combat the pervs have to close pm and ignore. I think it should be an auto-ban, but it's so easy to override a ban mods don't ban.
I've been using this site off and on since 2013, and while I've met some less than great folks, the mods will always handle them if you ping them. And they have an /ignore feature that I've had to use more than once. But the rooms themselves are nice, especially for a free support website. I hang out in the lounge a lot, but go to ptsd, lgbtq, and bpd for the support I need on bad days. Philo is a mess though, stay out of there if you can. It's all just racists and bigots in there.
I've kicked aound the site for a number of years. I admit that I use a number of nicks, but I really am a nice guy. Sometimes I am a poet, a writer, a sensitive and caring guy, a showbiz hipster, an English dude, a guy whose wife died, a poor slob who is unlucky in love, you name it. I started in bipolar room and my female fan base just kept growing. If you are reading this, we have probably chatted at the site on more than one occasion. If I duped you, consider it a life lesson. This one mod has no idea about me and has a crush on all of my nicks. She told each one that she has feelings for him. It's kind of sad. The website is okay especially if you are completely bored or manic. That's about it.
The moderators in this chat are power hungry individuals who don't even interact with their chatters. They tell you to "move on" and offer no explanations for anything they do. They never respond to emails and the contact us is utterly useless. There is rampant sex talk that is allowed to go on. Anybody looking for a safe place to talk and discuss mental health best stay away, this chat has ruined so many people and the majority leave worse off than when they entered. It all starts at the top and those in charge don't care
I have learned to stay clear of this site! The mods show a lot of favortism toward certain chatters.
Though some of the users can be nice the mods tend to be over zealous, there are many things you can't discuss and if you discuss any one topic for too long they'll ask you to stop- and if you don't your banned. This hasn't happended to me but I've seen it with issues about parents, abortion, addiction, LGBT issues. So I would say this service really isn't inclusive and others have highlighted that the mods can and actually do bully.
It's a joke made for people just wanting a place to fit in and ask advice, only to be greeted by 2 year old adults.
My dad passed away a while back, I went to this website, the mods just made me feel worse.
Honestly I think the sites intentions are AMAZING. The site is trying to help anyone with any issues about anything, by having people talk about it, and is succeeding most of the time :).
But I do however think some mods are definitely a little unfair. I wouldn't say all the mods are unfair, because that is not true. 90% of mods are so nice, so amazing, and always gives people second chances even when they are being put down.
I have been banned for "creating clones" because my friends were over and they wanted to go on the site too. And, to be fair, I 100% understand why multiple logins from one wifi network is against the rules.
One of the mods just told me I couldn't do multiple logins, in a nice, but stern way, which I think is a really effective. But before I had the chance to tell my friends to we had to log out, another moderator muted me and everyone else using my wifi network. Then 5 seconds later, he banned my network from the website FOREVER. (not even a 48 hour ban?)
Then a few days later one of my friends invited me to her house, so I used her wifi and tried to find the mod that banned me. I found him and tried to explain the situation to him but he wouldn't listen. Instead he banned my friends network from the website forever too.
You might be asking, "Were you and your friends rude to the people on the website?"
And I would say definitely not. Everyone was just chatting and having a great time, which I think is what this website should completely be about.
Sharing my opinion with some other people here. The "mods" are friendly for sure. But there are 40 channels - most of the time 150 users... well we can do the math.
+ adverts and a cry for donation. Tbh - i actually wondered if some of the "guest/trolls" were mods. But yea. Cant know.
They bully mentlally ill people because they know they can get away with their behaviour not a good place to chat
Looks like their are a bunch of reviews that aren't honest, like they are just trying to offset the bad reviews. Truth is there is a mod who sends every one her pic in workout gear in an obvious cry for people to like her. Also she doesn't seem to enforce rules unless other mods are on. Quickly disappears when the rooms start getting bad and pinging her seems to make her log off as well. There are a lot of trolls and when the good mods are on they do what they can to.stop it. Too bad they aren't on more often. You might get support here, you might get to see any number of hateful comments. Just don't expect certain mods to do anything.
