I ordered a replacement tarp and paid 9.99 for 2 day shipping I was mad when I found out it has 3 day processing time. But then they got there within 5 days and the item was perfect. I am very pleased and happy with the product.

They sent me around and around for months! They stopped responding via email, so I had to call to speak with a supervisor, and even after that, I had to stay on them because they wouldn't return calls or emails on their own deadlines. Then they promised me a refund, but turned around a week later and changed their mind. Wouldn't uphold the warranty, and offered me a crappy replacement of an entirely different product! Absolutely ridiculous.

I bought two "Belham Living Pecan planter boxes in brown. I got the first one out of the box and liked the style, but had to redrill some of the holes for the screws because they were off. I was able to cover them so it was not a big deal. I then proceeded with the second planter. One of the sides was cracked in half. The materials seemed to be packed well, so I could only imagine that the box was thrown around during its journey. I took it to a nearby Walmart where I was able to return it. Because I already had the first one assembled, and liked it, I went home and figured this was just a fluke and ordered one more. It arrived two weeks later - four days ago. Naive me, went out yesterday and bought plants to plant in my new planter boxes for my front porch. This morning I got up early to assemble my second planter box to find that the same side was broken! What is going on here? Did they send me the same broken planter again? I took it back to the Walmart this morning. I now have to buy a third one... wait another two weeks? Who can I talk with? This stinks!

After posting my review on multiple sites, including BBB.org, I received an offer of a small credit to cover my additional costs from Hayneedle's Customer Service Escalations department. The rep was also named "Rosemary" as other have noted.
While I certainly appreciate the response and result, I should not have had to go to such lengths to get a response from Hayneedle, especially after contacting them directly. I updated my rating to 2 stars because this overall experience still remains below average in comparison to other online retailers.

Product Not As Described and Hayneedle Customer Service is Awful
March 6th, 2019
• Previous review

Summary: This "full size" bed is not the correct size for a full size mattress. It is 6 inches too wide! Also, the "gray" color is actually taupe, not gray at all. Hayneedle has terrible/non-existent customer service. No response to customer service emails.

Full review: The real problems started on delivery day. I had a 4 hour window blocked off 10-2. When 2:30pm rolled around and I had no delivery, I called customer service because I thought I was going to have to cancel the order because I had to leave the house (signature was required and I wanted to check the product anyway). 10 minutes after I got off the phone, the... um... "delivery" truck arrived. Hayneedle uses the worst/cheapest shippers around. They actually showed up in an Enterprise rental truck! Is this a real delivery business?!?!? The two shipping boxes were in terrible shape, which made me very nervous, but luckily the pieces inside were not damaged, despite having the surface visible through the box and packing material. Pure luck.
The next day, my husband and I spent about an hour putting the bed together, and were really happy with the instructions, quality of the materials, and the overall look of the bed. The wood was heft and solid, and the overall design looked pretty. I was a little disappointed in the color, since I was expecting actual "gray" not taupe, but since I had not purchased any other furniture to match it yet, I figured it wasn't a deal-breaker and I could make it work. The major problem occurred when we lifted our full size mattress and put it on the bed slats. There was an extra 6 full inches on the end of the bed, and a 2 inches on the side! I could not believe that wasn't mentioned in ALL of the other reviews! I could see down to the bed slats and the floor; it looked awful. There was no way I was going to pile up fluffy bedding to "cover-up" this issue. This bed is meant for the FULL XL mattress, not a regular full size! This is especially concerning for those who are buying this for a toddler/little kid transition bed (which we did). This extra space is dangerous for the little ones, because they can get their head wedged in there, or get a limb stuck (and then fall over and break something). We could not put our child to sleep on this, so I thought I was going to have to return the whole thing... and since the shipping boxes and packing material were destroyed (partially by the shippers), this was going to be a BIG P I T A. I emailed Hayneedle customer service immediately to see what they could do - was this an anomaly?... could they have the correct size pieces shipped?... No response. Still dead air...
So I turned to google and amazon... I found that I could buy a full XL size mattress protector that wraps around the whole bed and fill the extra 6 inches with chair foam padding (luckily we have a foam mattress, not a spring, so hopefully this won't be too noticeable). Of course, I have to buy all of these things and do the extra work... but at least I can fix the problem. I now also have to buy Full XL sheets to fit. So now I'm spending at least another hundred dollars, and doing a lot of extra work for a bed that costs well over six hundred dollars. So disappointed in Hayneedle. What a shame. I cannot recommend Hayneedle for a good experience or a reliable product description.

Ordered a Dining Hutch/Buffet and Credenza for $2,200. The bumbling delivery company hired to deliver the 2 pieces ran a fork lift through the Dining Hutch. Had to call Hayneedle to send it back. Why? The shipping carton was 2 flimsy boxes (one on top, one on bottom - taped together in the center). Oh, the styrofoam is just a hair over a 1/2 inch to protect this expensive piece. Called Eagle Furniture and asked who packages this furniture using materials weaker than a shoebox? Got dead air response. Eagle Furniture proudly states they are an American company, I told them then to package their expensive furniture like an American company should! Yesterday, the replacement Dining Hutch/Buffet arrives. Deliveryman says his instructions are leave at the door an 85" inch tall furniture piece. What happened to my "room of choice" Hayneedle guaranteed me room of choice. Not according to him. It shows up packaged in a similar fashion with 2 small cartons (top and bottom) taped together in the middle to partially keep them together. More of the flimsy 1/2 inch styrofoam used sparingly by Eagle Furniture. Remember this was a $2,200 order. Laurel & Hardy delivery company get a '0' review, Hayneedle a '2 star' review, and Eagle Furniture company a '-1' review for claiming to be a proud American company.

I brought an island from Hayneedle and when I got ready to put it together the holes to attached the botton and the legs did not match up. So I was not able to put it together I call Hayneedle about the problem and they asked for my order number. I gave them all the information they needed and they promised me that they're get back with me. I kept calling and calling about the problem and they kept promise me that they would get back with me. They never did return my call. They claim that they was waiting to hear from the manufacturing company. I never heard from them nor the manufacturer company. I got tired of waiting so I had my brother to make bigger holes to put the island together and I had to buy more screws and had to rebuilt the bottom. To this day I haven't heard from Hayneedle nor the manufacturer company. I don't think I will buy from them again. Poor customer service. I paid $600 for this island and all I asked for was a discount.

Even if you want to exchange and make additional purchases, you pay return shipping on the item that did not fit. This is short sighted business practice.

Ordered bar stools from Hayneedle. Great price, but was told for a nominal fee, the bar stools would get to me by Feb 19. On Feb 18 I still didn't have a tracking number. Called Hayneedle and customer rep told me he couldn't get in touch with manufacturer. Said they were closed and he would get back to me next day. No call, so I call again. Second customer "advocate" (are you sh*#ting me?) puts me on hold for ten to fifteen minutes and comes back to say the order is being shipped today. So much for having chairs for party this weekend. Service rep said I would receive tracking number later today. We shall see. Shipping on day you are suppoed to be receiving? Bad business. Emptor Caveat!

August 22nd, 2016

I ordered a set of 4 bar stools in June. Just after the first two arrived I went online to look what was going on with the second two and was told they were on backorder, expected to arrive by early August. I immediately emailed Hayneedle to clarify that I needed a set of 4 and whilst I didn't mind waiting for the next two, if for some reason the second two were cancelled, I would be expecting to return the first two (which were already built and being used, 1) because they didn't tell me the backorder was happening until after that had happened and 2) because I had no other furniture). They assured me that I would receive the second two by August 15th AT THE LATEST (their words).

The credit card I had used for the order expired in August and a new card was issued. Come the second week of August, Hayneedle tried to get hold of me because my card wasn't working. After making 4 attempts (the first two numbers I was given took me to "you've won a cruise" circles of hell) and being shuffled around to three different departments and spending nearly 4 HOURS on the phone, I was finally able to give someone updated credit card details and was assured that everything was good to go and that my order would be shipped.

Two weeks later they haven't arrived, so I check the order. Turns out Hayneedle cancelled the order. I was given NO notification of the cancellation and when I contacted customer service was told that "there had been difficulty getting payment" which is a contradiction of what I was told two weeks earlier that "everything was good to go". There was no apology for the confusion, no admittance that they should have informed me that the order was cancelled, absolutely nothing. Thankfully I checked early enough that they still had some stock left for me to place a new order and complete my set, goodness knows what would have happened if they'd been out and I'd needed to return the first two.

NEVER EVER EVER shopping with them again. One of the WORST online shopping experiences I have ever had, including a rude and useless customer service department.

[UPDATE] So AFTER posting this review I got a call from customer service who apologised and rectified the situation. It shouldn't have got to that point, but they did make an effort to fix their mistake, just way too late in the whole debacle.

I ordered a couch through thefoundary.com and they sent me an incorrect tracking number. It took several phone calls for them to figure out where it was coming from. I should have had my couch a few days ago at the latest. I was told by Pilot Freight that my couch would be there between 12-1p today. Did not happen. Then I called again and they said it would be within the hour, this was at 2:35. Still no couch. I will never buy anything from this company again.

Now I know why the price was low and the shipping is free.
The cartons were badly damaged upon delivery and consequently so were some of the components (rabbit hutch). I don't really expect any satisfaction from the company, and although damaged, the product is still usable, but buyers beware. I do NOT recommend this webside. Go somewhere else and pay a little more.

I ordered the XL MidWest I crate for my dog. The strength of the crate is not at all what they claim, my dog gets out of it easily with just the latches it came with, the latches are a joke so we have to use carabiner clips all over it because it has 2 doors. It also arrived dented and damaged and the company could care less. The shipping was quick, it arrived in 3 days but highly disappointed in the quality and its a bit difficult to put together and take down if your someone who needs to transport it a lot, thank goodness we have just had to take it down to move it in the house. This crate is not a good buy if you have a large breed dog, we have a shepherd and bought this for her as a puppy, she still uses it but its bent and coming apart in many places, she doesnt even use it that much anymore and still it has damage throughout it that keeps coming up. I would look into a sturdier crate if you have a large dog.

On July 19,2018 I wrote a review (see below) on Hayneedle. I would like to update that review. After my negative review, the company contacted me and sent me a new table to replace the missing part. It would have been nice to have this customer service from the beginning but at least they dis something so I am a little happier.
I purchased a Color Me Marcus changing table for my grandson and when we put it together we found that the back stabilizer bar was missing. It was sunday night so first thing Monday mornong I called Hayneedle. They said they would have the parts department take care of the issue. 5 emails later they said they had sent mu request to the manufacturer and they would be in touch soon. Not sure what soon means to Hayneedle. I waited almost 2 weeks and contacted the parts department dor an update. They said they are working with the manufacturer and will be in touch "soon". Customer service is not very customer focused. I suggest you make your purchase elsewhere if you want good customer service. I spent a lot of money on a table that isnt even complete and Hayneedle doesnt seem to care about my issue. I would give it a half star if I could.

I spent almost $ 1,000 on an item that was supposed to be delivered at the end of MAY. I Still don't have it and Hayneedle accept no responsibility only to direct me to their courier service (I would get more answers talking to my Cat - if I had one). Their courier service still cannot give me a date for delivery only a vague two week 'window'.
It's looking like I'll get my item on the last day of that window- if ever.
Lame $#*! liars.
Don't bother.

Ordered curtain panels and glass pitchers from the site. The curtains did arrive in a timely fashion and shipping was fine. I did encounter some problems with this company and I don't think I will buy from them again.

1. I was never told that the pitchers would took an extra 2 weeks to be delivered until after I completed my order.

2. I ended up not liking the curtains and returned them. The return process was such a pain. They do charge for return shipping. Although on the site they said you can choose to ship it yourself and pay for it yourself, it was impossible to do so because of how they set up the auto return page. I ended up have to pay $18 to return 2 curtains that I paid $35 for both. If only I knew I would have just buy it from amazon. So the lesson here is, unless you know exactly what you are getting and you know you won't be returning anything, go ahead and deal with this company.

3. Once you gave them your email address, I was getting ads from them like every single day. Thank god I could unsubscribe so easily on gmail.

I've purchased from this company twice. The first order was for medicine cabinets. They came on time but the quality was cheap. I needed to have them installed right away, so I kept them. They starting rusting within a few weeks. The second purchase was for a small desk. It is defective. One of the drawers doesn't line up. When I looked closer, I could see a repair attempt had been made. I would have to pay to return it, so I kept it. Lesson learned!. Oh, and the exact desk is available at Target for less $$. I don't plan to use this site again.

They blame the shipping company when all they would have to do is get a more accurate delivery date from the delivery company
Attitude seems to be 'we have your money, now you play by OUR rules"
Customer svc on the phone is VERY abrupt "my way or the highway"
I would NOT deal with them or recommend them again

I ordered a Christmas tree through Walmart website, was charged twice for only one purchase. This tree that I ordered was supposed to be 5 ft and 5'2-5'5 with the base. I'm 5 feet 2 inches and this tree comes to my chin in the base! CLEARLY this tree is not even five feet, I'm returning it because this is falsely advertised and I'm not happy. They said it would take several days for a refund which means it will be the week of Christmas I went through my bank and disputed the charge all is done and said will not purchase them again.

Mixed - got slippers for Xmas - too large so tried to get a smaller size. They didn't refund any postage, charged me to send them back and then charged me AGAIN to resend another pair (this is "their policy"), The new pair eventually got here but were the wrong color - UGH! Complained to the company and did (finally) get a good customer service person that credited me a free pair.

I ordered a storage bed; footboard was severely damaged. First three inquiries were never responded to, but after another inquiry an agent apologized & said they would send a new footboard. Instead they sent a credit to be used at their site (without notifying me that it was a substitute for the replacement~ I thot maybe it was a good will offering- not!), but they don't offer a matching separate footboard, so I'm stuck with no replacement for the cracked & chipped one. The product is good quality, but somewhere during storage or shipping it was very carelessly handled, and they should make good on reasonable claims in cases of damage. I would NOT recommend this firm and will not use them again.

We ordered two queen size beds from Hayneedle and they came quickly and intact. Assembly was reasonably straightforward. We recently ordered and received an electric fireplace and the mantle predrilled holes for assembly were way off and the female screw holes were too large for the screws supplied. I returned the item and Hayneedle seems to have accepted the return but waiting to see the credit show up on my credit card. I did write a review to be posted on Hayneedle and as of today I only see three positive reviews of this item not my negative review. This makes me wonder if Hayneedle is selectively posting positive reviews and not posting less than good reviews, I hope this is not the case since that would be very misleading an deter me from purchasing anything else from this company. Return was credited to my credit card in a reasonable time.

I ordered a from the website telescopes.com by mistake (I actually wanted to go to telescope.com). In fact it was a Hayneedle shop, but they had it in stock, and even said I'd get it by a certain date if I ordered it NOW. So I did and paid for FedEx 2 day delivery. I received an e-mail with the order status. I checked it a little later and the status said Shipped. I waited a couple of days and checked the status again and it still said Shipped. But I wondered where was the tracking number?
I called them to ask about the status of the order but they said they couldn't determine this and asked the telescope people to get back to me. They did and I found out that the telescope wasn't even in stock and had been backordered. I would probably get it 2 weeks later. I canceled the order and will not shop at Hayneedle any more.
